Chapter 203 - Chapter 203: Taking Quinnie Out to Relax and Have Fun

"Got it!"

The moment Blake Su heard the notification, his heart jumped with excitement. The [Jordan's Post-Up Ability] he had been eyeing for so long was finally his.

At that moment, he had no interest in continuing Woj's interview. Even though Woj kept praising him, Blake Su simply wasn't in the mood.

After a brief exchange, the interview ended.

Blake Su, along with Curry, Steve Nash, George, and the others, returned to the locker room, ready to celebrate this hard-fought victory that had been sealed with a buzzer-beater.

In the arena hallway, Blake Su opened his stats panel with a thought and checked his abilities. A new attribute had appeared under post play.

[Abilities]: [Peak Anthony Jump Shot], [Peak Curry Three-Point Shot], [Eagle Spear], [Jordan's Post-Up Ability]

As he examined his abilities, waves of warmth flowed into his mind, disappearing almost instantly. Still, Blake Su could clearly feel that his brain now held a wealth of post-up techniques.

They belonged to Jordan.

Post-up moves are typically used by big men in the low post or near the basket, players like Hakeem Olajuwon, Shaquille O'Neal, Yao Ming, and Tim Duncan.

However, some perimeter players also master this skill, such as Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and Carmelo Anthony.

Among them, Jordan was undoubtedly one of the best at elevating post-up play to its peak.

With dazzling footwork, he would shake off defenders, then combine it with a fadeaway jumper executed with incredible hang time, leaving opponents unable to contest, unable to react, completely helpless.

"Perfect."

With countless post-up techniques flashing through his mind, Blake Su felt a surge of excitement.

"The reason Jordan's Post-Up Ability is so powerful lies in how he uses footwork to throw off defenders, then connects it with elite vertical leap and hang time for a fadeaway, all backed by high shooting efficiency.

That makes scoring effortless.

As for me, even though my fadeaway isn't particularly strong, I have enough height and vertical, along with a high shooting percentage.

Those taller than me can't jump as high, and those who jump higher aren't as tall.

In this situation, as long as I create space with my back-to-the-basket moves and turn for a jumper, scoring will be easy.

More importantly, I now have another scoring weapon.

Not bad at all."

After thinking it through and looking at his [93] post-up attribute, Blake Su knew he had become even stronger than before.

If he wanted to lead the Suns past powerhouse teams like the Lakers, Spurs, Mavericks, Heat, Magic, and Bulls to win a championship, he had to keep improving.

Back in the locker room, while his teammates were celebrating, Blake Su changed clothes and made up a quick excuse to leave early. After all, Mia Quinn was still waiting.

Now that he had gained some popularity, Blake Su didn't want to expose Mia Quinn to the public too soon. That could put her in danger, and that was the last thing he wanted.

Walking alone into the lobby, he saw the aloof goddess Mia Quinn sitting quietly in the lounge. Blake Su walked over with a smile and reached out his hand.

"Quinnie, sorry to keep you waiting. Let's head back."

"Mm-hmm!"

The moment Mia Quinn saw it was Blake Su, her smile widened.

Blake Su took her hand, and the two walked toward the garage. Along the way, Mia Quinn kept praising how amazing he had been tonight.

After returning home, maybe from talking too much on the way or from being overly excited by the game, Mia Quinn felt sleepy as soon as she got back.

She washed up quickly, collapsed onto the bed, and soon fell asleep. She didn't even pull the blanket over herself, clearly exhausted.

"Quinnie, want to grab a late-night snack?"

Seeing the bedroom door open, Blake Su assumed she was still awake and walked in. When he saw her already asleep, he smiled softly.

He walked over to the bed, gently pulled the blanket over her, then crouched by the bedside. Even without makeup, Mia Quinn looked as pure and beautiful as a lotus rising from water. He reached out and lightly touched her fair cheek.

"Qinqin, good night. I'll take you out tomorrow."

...

The next day, Blake Su woke up at eight.

Mia Quinn, however, the true "Sleeping Beauty," showed no sign of waking up, and Blake Su had no intention of forcing her.

After all, there were nearly three days of rest between the Nuggets game and the upcoming Lakers matchup.

So Blake Su left her a message, asking her to call him when she woke up. He would come pick her up and take her out to relax.

Before that, he headed to the arena for his usual training. Not long after arriving, he saw the "God of Basketball," Michael Jordan, walk in.

Jordan's sudden appearance surprised everyone.

"Mr. Michael, what brings you here?"

Head coach Alvin Gentry stepped forward with a smile, clearly surprised.

Jordan chuckled lightly.

"I really like your player Blake Su. I watched your game against the Nuggets last night, so I came by to take a look."

"I see."

Gentry smiled and invited Jordan onto the court, gathering the players.

When Blake Su heard that Jordan had come specifically for him, he was genuinely surprised.

"Mr. Jordan, it's an honor that you came all this way to see a rookie like me."

"Not at all."

Jordan waved his hand.

"Talented players deserve respect. Treating you well now might benefit me in the future.

I came today not just to see you, but also to teach you a few post-up techniques.

After watching your game last night, I felt this area is still a bit weak for you. I happen to have some experience. Are you interested?"

"Wow. The 'God of Basketball' personally came here and specifically wants to teach Blake Su post-up techniques. My God, how much reputation and influence does Blake Su have for Michael to do this?"

Paul George's eyes widened, filled with envy.

"Blake Su is incredible."

Curry, standing beside him, looked just as envious.

It wasn't just them. Steve Nash, Carter, and all the other players were equally shocked and envious to see the "God of Basketball" personally come to the arena and single out Blake Su for guidance.

Everyone felt both astonished and jealous.

However, Blake Su himself wasn't as excited as one might expect.

Even though being personally taught post-up moves by the "God of Basketball" was something countless players could only dream of, Blake Su had just obtained the [Jordan's Post-Up Ability] the night before.

That meant everything Jordan was about to teach, he already knew.

Of course, Blake Su wasn't foolish enough to refuse. He nodded gratefully.

"That would be my honor. Of course I'm willing. I'm all ears."
