Chapter 205 - Chapter 205: Mia Quinn. The Otaku Goddess

"An internet café? Gaming? Quinnie, are you serious?!"

"Of course! Go, go, go!"

...

Blake Su found a high-end esports hotel and booked a standard room. It looked similar to a regular hotel room, except it had two gaming computers.

All the gaming gear, including mice and keyboards, was fully equipped.

Then Mia Quinn turned on the computer, launched the game, and opened League of Legends.

"No way, Quinnie, you play this game?!"

Blake Su was genuinely surprised.

If he remembered correctly, this MOBA game that would later take the world by storm had only just been developed not long ago.

At this point, it was basically only available in the U.S., and players from other countries could only access it through overseas servers.

And yet, Mia Quinn was playing it right now.

That could only mean one thing. She was clearly a serious gamer. And the way she played soon confirmed Blake Su's guess.

She was actually very good.

"Quinnie, you're amazing. What rank are you?"

"Diamond I."

Diamond I.

In this parallel world, Blake Su was not sure whether the newly released League of Legends had a tier above it, but even if it did, Diamond I was still just below the very top ranks.

And she was a female player. Blake Su could not help but admire her skill.

"Quinnie, do you play every day? How else would your rank be this high?"

"Not at all."

Mia Quinn puffed her cheeks slightly, looking a bit pleased.

"I think I just have a talent for this game. I only play casually when I have time.

But it really suits me. I keep winning.

Some moves that others cannot pull off, I can."

"Really?"

Blake Su smiled.

"Then you really do have talent."

"Blake, do you play?"

"Sure. Want to queue together? Let me join. I'm really good with Yasuo."

"Yasuo? Is there a champion like that?"

Mia Quinn looked confused. Blake Su gave an awkward laugh and brushed it off, realizing that Yasuo had not been released yet in this version.

Blake Su could play as well, though not at her level. He was more of a mid-tier Platinum player.

After a few matches, he noticed that the current version of League of Legends in this world differed somewhat from the one he knew.

However, that was not important. Today was about helping Mia Quinn relax. Since gaming helped her unwind, they simply enjoyed it.

They ended up playing for several hours.

Mia Quinn, fully immersed in the game, did not even want to go out to eat. She made two cups of instant noodles in the hotel lounge, one for herself and one for Blake Su.

"Thanks, Quinnie."

Blake Su took the noodles and smiled.

"Quinnie, you know, right now you are exactly the kind of girl countless otaku dream about."

"Huh? Why?"

Mia Quinn asked with a laugh.

Blake Su pointed at the noodles.

"Every otaku wants a girlfriend who plays games with him at an internet café, brings him food, and is also beautiful."

"Really?"

"Of course."

"Hehe, I did not realize I was that popular. But if that kind of popularity could help my acting career, that would be even better."

...

By the time they finished playing, it was already 9 p.m.

Finally feeling a bit tired, Mia Quinn stood up to stretch and walked onto the balcony, looking out at the night view of Phoenix.

Soon, her eyes landed on a KTV across the street. Suddenly excited, she grabbed Blake Su.

"Blake, should we go sing?"

Blake Su thought for a moment and agreed. It was another good way to relax.

Once they got there, he realized just how good Mia Quinn's voice was. Even with the relatively poor KTV microphones, she sounded amazing.

More importantly, when she sang, her presence was captivating. She carried herself like a performer on stage, full of charm.

In truth, Mia Quinn had studied traditional opera since childhood, so her stage presence was naturally strong.

Blake Su had not known this before, but now he could clearly feel it.

By around midnight, after singing to her heart's content and completely exhausting herself, Mia Quinn let Blake Su lead her slowly back to the hotel.

It had been a full day of relaxing together. Blake Su felt happy and had also discovered a different side of her.

"Blake, today was really fun. Thank you. I..."

Mia Quinn fell asleep before finishing her sentence.

Blake Su, however, fell into deep thought.

"With her personality, breaking into the entertainment industry and gaining popularity will take time. Right now, there is not much I can do to help.

But does she really have to become an actress?

If she wants to become famous, does it have to start with acting?

What Quinnie lacks is not skill, but opportunity.

Once she gets the right opportunity, she could become famous overnight.

Right now, besides acting, she is good at League of Legends, she sings well, and most importantly, she is beautiful.

With these qualities, in today's environment, she could easily become a top-tier internet personality."

Because of Mia Quinn, Blake Su thought of the concept of internet celebrities, something that was not widely accepted in this era.

However, in the future, many big stars would chase that same online popularity.

It was not about who was right or wrong. It was simply the direction of the times.

And Blake Su understood that trend.

"Internet celebrity. Live streaming. Gaming streamer."

"Maybe I can help Quinnie in a different way. Help her gain popularity and access to opportunities sooner."
