Chapter 487 - Chapter 488: Crushing a Nike Sneaker, Setting the Arena Ablaze

"Tonight, the unstoppable Blake is a one-man army, while the three standing against him are the Heat Big Three: 'King James' LeBron James, 'Flash' Dwyane Wade, and 'CB4' Chris Bosh.

"One against three.

"Blake is single-handedly trading blows with the Heat Big Three. This game has been absolutely incredible, and Blake has been just as unbelievable!!!"

Mike Breen roared with excitement until his voice had gone slightly hoarse.

Van Gundy's face was flushed with excitement as well. He shouted, "That's right. One against three.

"'The Emperor' Blake is taking on the Big Three all by himself and doing what seemed impossible.

"What an incredible performance from Blake!"

Mike Breen and Van Gundy were completely fired up.

At that moment, fans everywhere watching the game couldn't help getting swept up in the excitement, their eyes fixed on the action with anticipation.

They all wanted one thing more than anything else.

A championship!

Back on the court, Blake's one-against-three battle continued!

6:13 remaining.

"Swish!"

LeBron backed George down on the left block, created space with his body, and knocked down the mid-range jumper.

On the other end, Blake crossed Bosh over in front of him and shook free.

"Swish!"

He calmly buried a mid-range jumper of his own.

5:03 remaining.

"Clang!"

LeBron powered his way to the rim against Blake but couldn't finish. Bosh grabbed the rebound, however, and kicked it out to "Flash" Wade.

"Whoosh!"

Wade caught the ball and immediately attacked the basket again.

"Swish!"

He powered his way inside and finished.

Back the other way.

"Clang!"

Curry missed a three, but George grabbed the rebound and kicked it out to Nash, who fired another one from deep.

"Clang!"

Still no good.

Blake came down with the rebound again and sent it back out to Curry on the perimeter. Curry didn't hesitate and launched another three.

"Swish!"

Straight through.

3:44 remaining.

"Clang!"

Curry missed another three.

Then, in transition, Wade tried to send a long pass ahead to LeBron, only for Blake to intercept it in midair near center court.

"Whoosh!"

Without even bringing the ball down, Blake immediately redirected it to George, who had just inbounded the ball and had yet to get back up the floor.

George caught it, charged straight at the basket, and threw down a powerful two-handed dunk.

2:09 remaining.

"Swish!"

Wade pulled Frye out to the perimeter and isolated him. One hard step forward, a sudden stop, then a step-back.

He rose over Frye and drilled the three.

But on the very next possession, Blake reached the top of the arc and stopped a full meter beyond the three-point line with Wade right in front of him.

"Whoosh!"

He suddenly pulled up from deep and returned the favor.

Was it good?!

"Swish!"

No suspense at all. Nothing but net!

After three quarters:

Suns 101, Heat 95.

At the commentary table, Van Gundy kept shaking his head in amazement.

"Incredible. This game, this back-and-forth scoring battle, has been absolutely spectacular. Blake put up another 15 points in the third quarter, along with 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block.

"He has 42 points through three quarters.

"Barring something unexpected, we're looking at another 50-point game tonight.

"On the Finals stage, 'Superhero' Blake, a rookie center, is taking on the 'villains,' the Heat Big Three, all by himself.

"His dominance has once again changed what I thought was possible for him."

"Absolutely."

Mike Breen nodded repeatedly, still in awe. "Blake is unbelievable. He came into the league and immediately established himself as something special.

"He's a center with truly phenomenal ability."

"Exactly!"

Van Gundy agreed before continuing, "Mike, Blake has been on fire all night, but the Heat Big Three have been playing very well too.

"So why are the Heat still down by six?"

"Well..."

Mike Breen thought for a moment.

"I think those six points might simply come down to three-point shooting.

"Through three quarters, Blake has made eight threes. The Heat Big Three, all three of them combined, have made only three.

"That difference alone accounts for five points."

"That's right."

Van Gundy nodded. "The two sides have produced similar offensive firepower and efficiency, but three points is still worth more than two.

"And that difference has helped give the Suns a six-point lead.

"There's really not much the Heat can do about that.

"As the small-ball era gradually takes shape, more and more players, and even coaches, are beginning to understand just how important the three-point shot is.

"And Blake is undoubtedly ahead of the curve.

"He's a center, the kind of player people traditionally assume shouldn't be shooting threes at all. Yet here he is, knocking down one three after another and helping his team build a six-point lead in Game 7 of the Finals.

"'The Emperor' Blake is showing everyone what the small-ball era can look like, but he's doing it in a way no one expected!"

"Blake really is incredible!"

During the break between quarters, the two commentators continued discussing the game while the atmosphere inside the arena remained electric.

A six-point lead had the Suns' home crowd buzzing. They were already preparing themselves for a championship celebration.

Of course, the Heat hadn't lost confidence either.

The deficit was only six points, and there was still an entire quarter left.

The championship was still up for grabs.

Who would come out on top?

It would all be decided in the final quarter.

Soon, the fourth quarter began.

"Thump, thump, thump!"

The Heat Big Three stepped onto the court.

Blake came out as well.

That's right.

Both teams sent their starters straight back onto the floor. No one wanted to rest, not even for a single minute.

Win the game, and there would be plenty of time to rest afterward.

Lose, and no amount of rest would make the pain go away.

"Let's go!"

No one knew who shouted it, but from the very first possession of the final quarter of the Finals, the battle between the two teams immediately erupted.

"Bang, bang, bang!"

Nash controlled the ball at the top of the arc against Chalmers.

He drove, then passed to Blake at the right high post. Bosh and LeBron immediately converged on him for the double-team.

"Whoosh!"

Blake kicked it out.

The ball went to George in the left corner. George caught it and immediately attacked the basket.

One explosive step, and he actually got past Wade.

He was going straight to the rim!

But once Haslem stepped up to stop him, George hesitated. Bosh was already rotating over to help as well.

"Whoosh!"

George kicked the ball back out.

"Smack!"

At the top of the arc, Blake received it again.

Now he had LeBron one-on-one.

Blake slowly shifted the ball from side to side in front of him, searching for his rhythm.

The ball was in his right hand.

The instant his right foot stepped forward...

"Whoosh!"

Blake exploded to his right.

"He's going right!"

LeBron's eyes narrowed.

He slid over and stayed with him, and the two immediately made contact.

But in the very next instant...

"Thud!"

"Thud!"

The first sound came from LeBron falling backward onto the floor.

The second came from Blake crashing sideways to the floor.

"What happened?!"

Both Blake and LeBron were down.

Neither had simply stumbled. They had completely lost their balance, and the falls looked dangerous.

The fans' eyes widened in shock and concern.

"Please don't let either of them be hurt!"

That was the first thought running through countless minds.

An injury at this stage of the game would be devastating.

Fortunately, both men quickly got back to their feet.

"Thank goodness."

Seeing Blake stand back up after falling right in front of her, Mia Quinn clenched her little fist and breathed a sigh of relief.

Yoona let out a deep breath as well, relieved that Blake was okay.

At that moment, the arena's big screen showed a replay of the collision between Blake and LeBron.

Only then did everyone see what had happened.

As Blake drove, his left foot came down on LeBron's left sneaker.

LeBron couldn't retreat properly to stay in front of him, lost his balance, and fell backward.

At the same time, Blake had stepped directly onto LeBron's shoe while trying to push off. His footing was thrown off as well, causing him to lose his balance and tumble sideways onto the floor.

A genuine scare, but nothing more.

Then, in the very next moment...

"Whoa!"

Another wave of shocked cries swept through the entire arena.

What now?

As LeBron got back up and started walking, the camera zoomed in on him and the fans suddenly noticed something on the big screen.

The front of the Nike sneaker on LeBron's left foot, the exact shoe Blake had stepped on, had split wide open.

"Blake Su Generation" had stomped it apart!!!
