Viola got the best servants within the packhouse to assist with the wedding dressing. Caelan sat and waited as the attendants finished. A curtain was held between him and Rain since Raze did not want to be apart.
Caelan's mind wasn't at ease; his nails dug into his skin, and with Rain, he felt even more pressure. Vegas was like a drop of water added to a deep sea. His presence carried little or no significance, but he had lived enough with Vegas and Selene to know they never came at him straightforwardly...always using those around them. And with Rain… he feared he would be dragged yet again into a conflict he knew nothing of.
Viola stepped out of Rain's section, and without doubt, she was pleased with the results. Caelan wore a black robe with golden embroidery, while Prince Rain wore white with the same pattern.
