(Jay Jay's POV)
Something felt… heavy.
Warm.
And slightly suffocating.
I slowly woke up.
Still half asleep.
My brain trying to remember where I even was.
Right.
Keiren's room.
Last night.
Pillow fight.
Chaos.
Snacks.
Keiren begging me to sleep with him.
I smiled a little.
But then…
I noticed something.
I couldn't move.
Jay (muttering):
"…why can't I move…"
Then I felt it.
One arm around my waist.
Another arm stretched across the bed.
My brain froze.
Slowly.
Very slowly.
I turned my head.
And saw Keifer sleeping behind me.
His arm was wrapped around my waist.
Like he had no intention of letting go.
I blinked.
Jay:
"…what."
Then I turned the other way.
And there was Keiren.
Sleeping like a tiny starfish in the middle of the bed.
One leg over the blanket.
Hair completely messy.
Mouth slightly open.
And suddenly the situation made sense.
I was sandwiched.
Between two Watson brothers.
Jay:
"…this is ridiculous."
Keifer stirred slightly.
Still half asleep.
His arm tightened a little around my waist.
Keifer (sleepy):
"…don't move."
Jay:
"I have to breathe."
He mumbled something unintelligible.
Then buried his face into my hair.
Keifer:
"…five minutes."
I rolled my eyes.
Jay:
"You said that yesterday too."
He didn't answer.
Because he had already fallen asleep again.
Meanwhile Keiren suddenly turned.
And placed his small arm across my stomach.
Now I was fully trapped.
Jay:
"Oh my god."
I tried moving again.
Both of them tightened their grip at the same time.
Jay:
"Are you serious right now."
Keiren suddenly opened one eye.
Keiren:
"…Ate Jay?"
Jay:
"Good morning."
He smiled sleepily.
Then hugged me tighter.
Keiren:
"Don't leave."
Jay:
"I'm not leaving."
Behind me…
Keifer finally woke up.
Keifer:
"…why are you talking so much in the morning."
Jay:
"Because I'm trapped between two humans."
He opened one eye lazily.
Then looked at the situation.
Keifer:
"…this is fine."
Jay:
"This is not fine."
Keiren suddenly sat up energetically.
Like he had been fully recharged overnight.
Keiren:
"GOOD MORNING!"
His sudden movement woke Keifer completely.
Keifer groaned.
Keifer:
"…too loud."
Keiren jumped off the bed immediately.
Keiren:
"I'm hungry!"
Jay laughed.
Jay:
"That was fast."
Keiren ran toward the door.
Then turned dramatically.
Keiren:
"Come eat breakfast!"
Then he disappeared down the hallway.
The room became quiet again.
I sat up slowly.
Stretching.
Keifer was still lying on the bed.
Hair messy.
Eyes half closed.
Looking extremely sleepy.
Jay:
"You came here in the middle of the night didn't you."
He didn't even deny it.
Keifer:
"…maybe."
Jay:
"You were jealous."
He opened his eyes.
Then gave me a look.
Keifer:
"He's my brother."
Jay:
"That's not a denial."
He sighed.
Then sat up beside me.
Keifer:
"You hugged him."
Jay:
"He's ten."
Keifer:
"Still."
I laughed.
Jay:
"You're jealous of a ten-year-old."
Keifer ran a hand through his hair.
Keifer:
"…I'm not jealous."
Jay:
"You literally came here in the middle of the night."
Keifer leaned closer slightly.
Keifer:
"You're supposed to sleep next to me."
My cheeks warmed a little.
Jay:
"Oh really?"
Keifer shrugged.
Keifer:
"That's the rule."
Jay:
"Who made that rule?"
Keifer smirked slightly.
Keifer:
"I did."
I shook my head laughing.
Then stood up.
Jay:
"Come on."
Keifer:
"Where?"
Jay:
"Breakfast."
He groaned.
Keifer:
"Five more minutes."
Jay walked toward the door.
Jay:
"Fine."
Then I looked back.
Smiling mischievously.
Jay:
"But I heard someone downstairs opening the snack cabinet."
Keifer's eyes snapped open immediately.
Keifer:
"…what."
Jay grinned.
Jay:
"Keiren."
Keifer jumped out of bed instantly.
Keifer:
"Absolutely not."
I laughed as he rushed out of the room.
Because one thing was certain.
If Keiren reached the snack cabinet before Keifer…
The house would experience another level of chaos.
