Chapter 103: Hearts in Fire
(Jay Jay's POV)
The morning sunlight spilled across the New York apartment, painting gold streaks over Keifer's sleeping face. I couldn't help but stare. Every line, every contour of him, softened by sleep, made my heart feel like it was about to burst.
Jay (thinking):
"…how did I get so lucky? How did I get a man who makes my world… feel like this?"
Keifer shifted slightly, stretching, his eyes fluttering open. The moment he saw me, his gaze softened instantly, and that smirk—the one that always made me melt—curved onto his lips.
Keifer (voice husky, still half-asleep):
"…finally awake, my little troublemaker?"
I crawled closer, curling against his chest, listening to the steady thrum of his heartbeat.
Jay:
"…you're warm. Too warm."
Keifer chuckled, one hand sliding around my waist, pulling me impossibly closer.
Keifer:
"…good. You're supposed to feel safe in my arms. Always."
I pressed my lips to his chest, and he responded instinctively, wrapping his arms around me. His warmth was suffocating—in the most comforting way possible.
Jay (whispering):
"…I could stay here forever."
Keifer (smirking, brushing my hair back):
"…then don't move. I won't let you leave."
I laughed softly, hiding my face against him. His smirk softened into a gentle smile as he pressed a feather-light kiss to my forehead.
Keifer:
"…my woman. My heart. My everything."
My cheeks heated instantly, and I found myself reaching for his lips, brushing against them with a hunger I couldn't hide.
Jay:
"…my man. My life. My love."
He groaned softly, tilting me toward him, and our lips met in a slow, searing kiss that spoke more than words ever could.
The city outside buzzed, oblivious to the storm of feelings raging between us.
(Keifer's POV — Intense and Protective)
I couldn't stop staring at her. Her hair spilled across the pillow like a golden river, her lips slightly parted, and her eyelashes casting delicate shadows.
Keifer (thinking):
"…she's mine. Every piece of her. I'd cross fire, oceans, and hell itself for her. No one else touches her. No one else looks at her the way I do."
She stirred against me, brushing her lips against my chest. My heart pounded violently, and the surge of desire and love collided, leaving me breathless.
Keifer:
"…Jay… look at me."
Her eyes met mine, brown and dark, full of love, trust, and something wild that belonged only to me.
Keifer (low, deep voice):
"…you don't understand. You're my world. My life. Every heartbeat of mine… it's for you. No one else, Jay. No one. Do you hear me?"
Jay (softly, voice trembling):
"…I hear you. And I want you… all of you… forever."
I groaned, pulling her impossibly close, lips trailing from her forehead to her collarbone. Every touch, every caress, was a silent declaration.
Keifer (whispering, breath hot against her skin):
"…then don't ever leave me, Jay Jay. Promise me."
Jay (biting her lip, nuzzling his neck):
"…never. You have me. Always."
I buried my face in her hair, inhaling her scent. I couldn't get enough. The world beyond this room didn't exist—there was only her, only us, only this consuming fire of passion and love.
(Afternoon — Romance, Chaos, and Playfulness)
Later, we found ourselves in the apartment kitchen. Sunlight poured through the tall windows, bouncing off the marble counters.
I was cooking while Jay Jay leaned against the counter, watching me, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Jay:
"…you're way too focused on that omelet. It's just breakfast, you know."
Keifer (without looking up, grinning):
"…it's not just breakfast. It's fuel… for us."
Jay (laughing, stepping closer):
"…fuel for… what exactly?"
Before he could answer, I leaped onto the counter, straddling him playfully, our faces inches apart.
Jay (teasing):
"…don't get distracted. You'll burn it."
Keifer's hands found my waist, pulling me impossibly closer. His lips brushed mine in a soft, teasing kiss.
Keifer (low, deep, intoxicating):
"…don't tempt me, Jay Jay. Or breakfast will be the least of what I ruin today."
I laughed, hiding my face in his neck. His warmth and scent made me weak, my pulse racing.
Jay (softly, mischievously):
"…maybe I want to be ruined."
Keifer groaned, pulling me closer, and the kiss deepened. The heat between us was undeniable, undeniable, undeniable.
(Evening — Walk Through NYC, Hearts Entwined)
We eventually stepped out into the streets of Manhattan. The lights shimmered against the wet pavement from a passing drizzle.
Jay Jay's hand found mine instinctively.
Jay (thinking):
"…everywhere I go, it's better with him. Even this city… this chaos… is beautiful with him."
Keifer (thinking, eyes on her):
"…I could die right now and it wouldn't matter. She's my life. My love. My everything. No one else could ever replace her."
We walked in silence, our fingers entwined. Every glance, every brush of hands, every shared smile spoke more than words.
Keifer (softly, kissing her temple):
"…you know, if anyone tries to touch you, I'll erase them from existence."
Jay Jay laughed softly, resting her head against his shoulder.
Jay:
"…I don't need protection, Keifer. I have you. That's enough."
Keifer smiled, pressing a lingering kiss to her hair.
Keifer (thinking):
"…enough? No… you're everything. And I'll spend my life proving it."
(Night — The Apartment, Full of Fire and Tenderness)
Back at the apartment, we finally collapsed onto the couch, exhaustion mixed with desire.
Keifer pulled me into his lap, cradling me.
Jay:
"…you're too much, you know that?"
Keifer:
"…too much love? Too much desire? Or too much me?"
Jay Jay laughed, burying her face against his chest.
Jay:
"…all of it. All of you. I don't care. I just… want this."
Keifer kissed the crown of my head, his body melting into mine.
Keifer (whispering, almost breaking):
"…I love you, Jay Jay. I can't… I can't live without you. Every second away from you… it kills me. Do you know that?"
Jay (smiling, eyes teary):
"…then never leave me. Because I'll never leave you."
We stayed like that, entwined, hearts beating together, minds consumed by love, fire, and desire.
Keifer (thinking, half-asleep, holding me close):
"…I've never wanted anyone this badly. She's mine… and I'm hers. Forever."
Jay Jay (thinking, resting against him):
"…and I'd fight a thousand worlds to stay in his arms. Forever isn't long enough with him."
The city lights outside flickered, as if the world itself acknowledged our bond, the fire of our hearts, and the love that nothing could extinguish.
