We walked out of the room after the meeting.
The corridor felt quieter now. Less formal. Just normal.
As we stepped outside the honke, my mother glanced down at me.
"Rei, you must be wondering why your father didn't meet you until now?"
I thought about it for a moment.
"Yeah. Something about a weird rule?"
My mother smiled and ruffled my hair. "My snowflake is so smart."
"Yeah! Yeah! Super smart!" Ryu yelled from beside us, pumping his fist in the air.
My mother nodded, adjusting her hold on me. "It's time to show you."
Sigh, again with the whole secretive thing.
I didn't ask. They'd tell me when they wanted to. That's how this family worked. Everything had its time, and I trusted them to make the right choice for me.
We walked across the estate, past the gardens and training ground I'd seen earlier.
Finally, we reached the main training ground.
A wide, open space with packed dirt and stone markers along the edges.
When we arrived, my mother turned to Yuka.
"Yuka, if you would."
Yuka nodded and stepped onto the training ground.
I looked at my mother, then at Ryu. "What is she doing?"
Ryu grinned with excitement. "Just watch, Rei. She looks the coolest when she's at it."
Coolest at what?
I turned back to my sister.
She stood in the center of the training ground now, breathing softly. Her posture was relaxed but focused. She raised her hands to shoulder level, spreading her fingers slightly.
What now? She gonna do magic?
Turns out, that's exactly what she was going to do.
And I saw it happen.
Literally.
I don't know what triggered it. The moment she closed her eyes, something inside me... opened. Like a door I didn't know existed, suddenly opening, and my world exploded.
I could see it. All of it.
Something was flowing inside her body. Not blood. Not air. Something else. It moved from deep in her core — her gut, maybe — up through her chest, down her arms, and into her hands.
Some sort of energy which pulsed and swirled inside her, following invisible pathways.
And then it flowed out.
She moved gracefully, like a dancer. Her hands swept through the air, and the energy followed. Then, it condensed and solidified.
Fans.
Two elegant, ice-blue fans materialized in her hands.
She exhaled as fog came out of her mouth. The kind you see when it's freezing cold.
Then she flicked her wrist.
Ice spikes shot out from the fans, glittering in the sunlight. Looking deadly, and beautiful at the same time.
They hung in the air for a moment before shattering into a thousand tiny crystals that dissolved into nothing.
Yuka lowered her hands, breathing heavily. The fans disappeared.
All I could do was stare.
"What wa -"
Then it hit me.
Information.
A lot of information.
Every object suddenly had layers. The energy. Residuals. Intent. Density. Flow.
The air felt textured, like it had weight and shape. I could see it moving. Breathing.
Light became painfully detailed. Edges glowed. Shadows crawled.
My brain couldn't filter it.
Everything was too much. Too loud. Too bright. Too real.
My head burned.
My eyes burned.
Everything burned.
"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!"
I screamed.
I couldn't stop the flow of information.
The pain was everywhere. Inside my skull. Behind my eyes. Like someone had set my brain on fire and poured molten glass into my eye sockets.
What is happening?!
It was the last thought I had before I drifted to dreamland.
General POV:
"REI!"
Ryu's shouted in horror.
He spun around just in time to see his little brother collapse in their mother's arms, screaming.
"What's happening?!" Ryu yelled, rushing over. His hands hovered uselessly, not knowing what to do. "Mom! Mom, what's wrong with him?!"
Fuyuka, still exhausted from her demonstration, stumbled forward. Her legs were shaky, but she forced herself to move toward her little brother.
"Rei...."
"Relax, kids."
Their mother's voice calmed them down.
She scooped Reizan up gently, cradling him his body.
Ryu and Fuyuka stared at her, waiting for an explanation.
"He's fine," their mother said softly, brushing Reizan's light blue hair out of his face. "He's awakened his cursed energy. Which means his eyes have finally awakened."
The twins froze.
Then they relaxed.
Fuyuka let out a breath she didn't know she was holding and sat down hard on the ground. "His eyes...?"
Ryu, however, was already bouncing back.
As quickly as he'd panicked, his excitement returned tenfold.
"Mother! Mother! Mother!" He grabbed her sleeve, practically vibrating. "What does that mean?!"
Are we really twins? Fuyuka questioned her existence.
She sighed and asked. "Do you have a brain?"
"What?" Ryu asked, blinking innocently.
She sighed again. "Nevermind."
Their mother giggled, clearly enjoying watching them banter.
"Okay," she said, still smiling. "Tell me. What is Mother's name?"
"Yuki Fuyomi," Ryu said immediately.
"Before she got married."
Ryu paused. "Gojo Fuyomi."
"Yes. And what is the one thing the Gojo clan hopes to have at least once per generation, but almost never does?"
"The Six Ey-"
He stopped mid-sentence.
He looked at his sister.
Then at his smiling mother.
Then down at his sleeping brother.
His hands started trembling. Not from fear, but from excitement.
"You- you mean-" He could barely get the words out. "He awakened..... that?"
His mother nodded, her smile soft and proud. "Yes, sweety."
Ryu didn't say anything for a full three seconds. Then...
"MY LITTLE BROTHER IS GOING TO BE THE STRONGEST!"
He screamed it at the top of his lungs.
Then he took off running.
Sprinting across the estate like his life depended on it.
"RYU!" Fuyuka called after him. "Where are you going?!"
"TO TELL EVERYONE!" he shouted back, already halfway across the courtyard.
Fuyuka groaned and buried her face in her hands.
Their mother just laughed softly, looking down at the unconscious Reizan in her arms.
"Your brother is quite enthusiastic, isn't he, snowflake?"
Reizan, of course, didn't respond.
He was out cold.
But if he had been awake, he probably would've said something like, "Yeah. That sounds about right."
***
Fuyomi watched her youngest son's unconscious form with a mixture of pride and concern.
His small chest rose and fell steadily as he slept peacefully.
She knew what came next.
The Six Eyes.
The legendary mutation of the Gojo clan. The one that appeared once in a century.
Her grandfather had it. That's why he became clan head.
And now her son — her youngest, her little snowflake — had awakened it.
The irony wasn't lost on her.
The clan that cast her out for marrying into the Yuki family. The clan that said she was betraying her bloodline. The clan that stripped her of her status and told her she was no longer a Gojo.
And now, the Six Eyes had appeared in her son.
A Yuki.
She almost laughed.
"I wonder what they'll say when they hear about this," she murmured, stroking Reizan's hair. "The technique they're so proud of... awakening in the clan they looked down on."
She traced a finger along Reizan's forehead, brushing aside his light blue hair.
"You're going to have a difficult life, snowflake," she murmured. "But I'll make sure you're ready."
Fuyuka, still sitting on the ground nearby, finally spoke. "Will he be okay, Okaa-sama?"
"He'll be fine," Fuyomi said, lifting Reizan into her arms. He was so small. So light. Hard to believe he carried such power. "His body is adapting. When he wakes up, the world will look different to him."
"Different how?"
Fuyomi smiled softly. "He'll see everything. Cursed energy. Flow. Intent. Structure. Things that most sorcerers spend years learning to sense, he'll see naturally."
Fuyuka's eyes widened. "That's... incredible."
"It's a gift," Fuyomi agreed. "But also a burden. The Six Eyes see too much. Process too much. It's overwhelming at first. Some people never adjust."
"But Rei will, right?"
Fuyomi looked down at her youngest son's peaceful face.
"Yes. He will. He's stronger than he looks."
She turned toward the estate.
"Come, Fuyuka. Let's get him to his room. He'll need to rest for a while."
Fuyuka stood, brushing dirt from her robes. She was still tired from the demonstration, but she followed without complaint.
As they walked, Fuyomi could hear Ryu's voice echoing across the estate.
" — AND HE'S GOING TO BE AMAZING! THE STRONGEST! JUST WAIT!"
She sighed fondly.
By tomorrow, word would spread beyond the estate.
The Yuki clan's youngest son had awakened the Six Eyes.
And the world of jujutsu sorcery was about to take notice.
***
Ryu hadn't stopped running.
He'd already told the guards at the gate. The servants in the kitchens. The gardeners tending the koi pond. The elders meditating in the ceremonial hall.
"My little brother awakened the Six Eyes!"
Some of them smiled . Others looked genuinely shocked. A few didn't quite understand what that meant, but they nodded anyway because young master Ryu looked so excited.
He burst into the western training hall, where several senior clan members were practicing.
"THE SIX EYES! REIZAN HAS THE SIX EYES!"
One of the older sorcerers, a man with a scar across his jaw, stopped mid-swing with his practice sword.
"The youngest master? Are you certain?"
"YES! I saw it! Well, I saw him pass out after Yuka demonstrated her technique, and then Okaa-sama said he awakened his cursed energy and his eyes, and — "
"Slow down, boy," the scarred man said, setting down his sword. "You're saying Lady Fuyomi confirmed it?"
Ryu nodded enthusiastically.
The man's expression shifted. Serious now.
"Then it's true."
He bowed slightly, a gesture of respect. "The Yuki clan is blessed."
Ryu beamed. "I KNOW, RIGHT?!"
He took off running again before anyone could ask more questions.
The senior sorcerers exchanged glances.
"The Six Eyes," one of them muttered. "In the Yuki clan."
"This will change things," another said quietly.
"For better or worse?" No one knew the answer to that.
***
Yuki Soran sat at his desk, reading through reports from the southern territories, when he heard the commotion.
Shouting. Footsteps. Excited voices.
He sighed.
"Ryu."
The door to his office slammed open.
"OTOU-SAMA!"
His eldest son stood in the doorway, breathing hard, grinning like he had just won a battle.
"Ryu," Soran said calmly, setting down his brush. "I assume there's a reason you're disturbing me."
"REI AWAKENED THE SIX EYES!"
Soran went very still.
For a moment, he didn't move.
"Repeat that."
Ryu's grin faltered slightly at his father's serious tone, but his excitement won out.
"Reizan! He awakened his cursed energy when Yuka showed him her technique, and Okaa-sama said his eyes awakened too, and she said it was the Six Eyes because she's from the Gojo clan and -"
"Where is he now?"
"With Okaa-sama. She's taking him to his room. He passed out."
Soran moved.
He crossed the room in three long strides, past Ryu, and into the corridor.
Ryu blinked, then scrambled after him.
"Otou-sama! Wait up!"

Meanwhile, in Reizan's room.
Fuyomi had just finished laying Reizan on his futon when the door slid open.
Yuki Soran stepped inside.
Fuyomi looked up and smiled. "I was wondering when you'd arrive."
Soran's gaze went straight to Reizan.
"It's true?"
"Yes."
He knelt beside the futon, studying his youngest son's face.
Reizan looked peaceful. Unaware of the chaos his awakening had caused.
Soran reached out, hesitating for just a moment, then rested his hand on Reizan's small shoulder.
"The Six Eyes," he murmured.
Fuyomi knelt beside him. "I saw it happen. The moment Fuyuka activated her technique, Rei's eyes changed. He could see the cursed energy flowing through her. All of it."
"And it overwhelmed him."
"Of course it did. He's four years old. His body isn't ready to process that much information yet. Plus, I don't know how this will work with the Yuki clan's technique." She placed her hand over Soran's. "But he will be. Given time."
Soran was quiet for a long moment.
Then he spoke, his voice low. "This changes everything."
"I know."
"The other clans will hear about this. The Gojo clan, especially." His voice held an edge. "Your former clan."
Fuyomi's expression hardened slightly. "They stopped being my clan the day they cast me out for choosing you."
"They'll still try to claim him. Say he belongs with them because of his bloodline."
"Let them try." Her voice was firm, cold even. "Reizan is our son, a Yuki. The Gojo clan rejected me. They rejected any future I wanted to have. Now they don't get to claim him now just because it's convenient."
Soran looked at her, and for the first time since entering the room, he smiled.
"You're right."
He looked back down at Reizan.
"He'll need training."
"Then we'll teach him," Fuyomi said simply.
Soran nodded.
He stood, his decision made.
"When he wakes, bring him to me. We'll begin immediately."
Fuyomi smiled. "He'll complain."
"That's life. I would rather have my son hate me than be taken advantage of."
Soran turned and walked to the door.

Yup, 6 eyes it is. I always wonder what 6 eyes would do with other CT's. So her it is. Hope it was not too generic.
