Chapter 73 - Chapter 78: The Paradox of the Unwritten Sword

The Kingdom's Crisis:

A gargantuan dragon appeared at the borders of the kingdom. Its scales were so hard that no weapon on Earth could pierce them. The King declared that any hero who could slay the beast would receive half the kingdom. Hundreds of warriors went forth with legendary swords, but all were defeated. Finally, the desperate villagers carried Emon, still on his bed, and left him at the mouth of the dragon's cave. The dragon emerged, breathing fire that turned the ground into glass, and roared at the sleeping figure.

The Lazy Strategy:

Without even opening his eyes, Emon reached out and picked up a small bamboo stick to scratch an itch in his ear. As the dragon lunged to devour him, Emon let out a massive, thunderous yawn. The sheer force of the air exhaled from Emon's lungs pushed the dragon's flames back into its own throat. The dragon stopped, confused. It realized it wasn't standing before a warrior, but a man who had zero hatred, zero ambition, and zero desire to win.

The Second Twist:

The dragon began to speak in a human tongue. It revealed that it wasn't a monster, but the "Incarnation of Human Ambition." It only attacked those who sought to conquer it. Because Emon had no desire to win or conquer anything, the dragon lost all its power and size. It shrank into the size of a tiny lizard, crawled over Emon's blanket, and disappeared into the forest. Emon did nothing, yet the kingdom was saved. The King offered him the throne, but Emon simply waved his hand in his sleep, refusing the offer because ruling a kingdom sounded like way too much work.
