Three Genin had appeared out of nowhere.
Sora was certain he hadn't offended any Ninja Village. He hadn't even fought other ninja before this. So why were three Genin suddenly targeting his life?
But the reason no longer mattered.
Once ninja drew blades against each other, logic became meaningless.
It was kill—or be killed.
"Die!"
The three Genin clearly had teamwork experience.
Several shuriken sealed off Sora's retreat while they formed a triangular formation, each thrusting forward with a kunai.
Slash!
Three kunai struck Sora simultaneously but no blood flowed.
Bang!
He turned into a block of wood.
"Substitution Jutsu!"
Before they could react further, a shadow burst forward at blinding speed.
"It's not certain who's going to die!"
Sora had used Substitution Jutsu at the critical moment.
Chakra surged through his legs, propelling him forward like a cheetah. In an instant, he closed the distance and threw a direct punch at one of the Genin.
"Tch!"
Seeing a fist coming at him, the Genin sneered and raised his kunai to block.
The sneer vanished immediately.
A terrifying force exploded through the blade, traveling straight into his arm.
Crack!
Bone shattered. His wrist broke instantly.
"What monstrous strength?!"
The other two Genin realized their target wasn't ordinary.
But there was no retreat. Once an assassination mission was accepted, abandoning it meant death by reputation—no one would ever hire them again.
Only one man in history had ever caused missions to be abandoned:
Konaha's White Fang. During the war, even elite ninja from the Five Great Villages could refuse missions involving him.
Sora obviously didn't possess that level of deterrence yet.
Though he had injured one opponent, the remaining two pressed forward fiercely.
Sora originally intended to finish off the Genin with the broken wrist, but he was forced to pivot and deal with the other two.
At this moment, his Monster Strength Fist displayed terrifying power.
Though far from perfected, even glancing blows carried devastating force. The three Genin dared not clash head-on with his fists.
"Hmph, you think this can stop me?"
His hands formed seals rapidly. Three seals per second wasn't exceptional—but it was more than enough for low-level ninjutsu.
"Water Release: Water Clone Jutsu!"
A clone materialized instantly, engaging one Genin in close combat using Monster Strength Fist techniques.
Meanwhile, Sora focused Chakra into his legs. Using the explosive principle of Monster Strength Fist, he forced a burst of instantaneous acceleration.
His speed multiplied.
The targeted Genin barely had time to react—
Boom!
Sora's fist smashed into his skull.
The head exploded instantly. Blood scattered through the air.
The gruesome sight didn't disturb Sora.
It only ignited his ferocity further.
"A bit forced…"
His muscles twitched violently. That explosive speed had pushed his body beyond its limits, straining multiple areas.
But he couldn't stop now.
Ignoring the pain, he lunged toward the injured Genin.
"Earth Release: Headhunter Jutsu!"
Sora leaped and punched down but the body turned to dirt.
The real Genin had vanished underground.
A sudden chill ran through Sora's spine. Danger.
Under the stimulus of crisis, his mind sharpened. Chakra surged wildly through his body, flowing twice as fast as usual.
Without hesitation, he condensed Chakra into his right foot and stomped down.
Boom!
The ground cratered violently.
Unfortunately for his opponent, the stomp landed directly on the Genin who had attempted the Headhunter Jutsu.
"Trying to drag me underground?" Sora sneered inwardly. "Mother explained this move to me many times. You're still too green."
He didn't even look at the crushed corpse. He immediately turned toward the last Genin.
That Genin had just dispersed the Water Clone. Though only one-tenth as strong as the original, the clone had stalled him long enough.
"This is bad…"
Panic flashed across the Genin's face.
He hadn't expected Sora—outnumbered and ambushed—to eliminate two of them so quickly.
"Getting distracted in battle is fatal."
Sora remembered Tsunade's words clearly: even if the sky collapses, never lose focus before the enemy is dead.
He exploded forward again.
Punch!
The struck body turned to earth.
"Blocked?"
Suddenly, his feet tightened.
He was yanked downward into the ground. At the same time, a kunai thrust toward his skull.
"I can't match your speed," the Genin said triumphantly, "but I can prepare Earth Substitution in advance."
Then his eyes bulged.
The body he stabbed dissolved into water.
"Water Substitution Jutsu—?!"
Too late.
A massive force pierced through his back, bursting straight out his chest.
"I'm sorry," Sora said coldly, pulling his blood-soaked fist free. "But 'the same move won't work'—that line belongs to me."
He didn't linger.
One versus three had nearly drained his Chakra and stamina completely. Forcing that explosive speed had injured him internally.
Not knowing whether more enemies lurked nearby, Sora maintained a steady expression and departed calmly, as though nothing had happened.
But inside—
He knew.
He had just crossed another line.
And someone, somewhere, wanted him dead.
