"You should just call me Kakashi, otherwise I won't know how to explain things when I meet Lord Jiraiya and Lady Tsunade again," Kakashi Hatake said casually.
Although his tone sounded relaxed, his words were actually a subtle test.
After all, Sora's identity had not yet been fully confirmed.
"You should stop probing my identity because you'll know when the time is right," Sora replied calmly.
A faint glint flashed in his eyes.
If he had answered carelessly just now, Kakashi would have immediately confirmed his connection to Tsunade.
Until Tsunade herself allowed it, Sora had no intention of revealing anything.
It was one thing for Kakashi to guess.
It was another thing entirely for Sora to admit it.
He did not want to rely on Tsunade's reputation to gain trust.
If this was a test, then he would pass it with his own strength.
"Oh, was I probing you?" Kakashi said with a completely innocent expression as if he truly had no idea what Sora meant.
"Only a fool would believe that," Sora thought silently.
Everyone in Konaha knew Kakashi Hatake's ability to play dumb was legendary.
"Anyway, Kakashi, let's consider this our official introduction because my name is Sora, Sora the Ruthless" he said calmly.
Since they were about to cooperate, a basic introduction was necessary.
"What a show-off name, Sora the Ruthless, then I'll call myself Cold-Blooded," Naruto muttered from the side.
Regardless, Kakashi and the others now remembered the name Sora.
Kakashi quietly studied the boy.
At first glance Sora did not appear particularly cold or arrogant.
However his eyes revealed a faint sense of indifference.
It was the kind of look that seemed detached from everything around him.
Naruto's joke was not entirely wrong.
Sora truly seemed ruthless or cold toward everyone except the few people he cared about.
Kakashi was good at reading people.
On the surface Sora appeared casual and easygoing.
But beneath that calm attitude was a clear distance that kept others away.
It was the indifference of someone who only valued a very small number of people.
Unless someone was extremely important to him, he would show little mercy.
"Well, now that you know my name, I should introduce these three," Kakashi began.
However he was interrupted immediately.
And by his own student.
"I'm Uzumaki Naruto, the man who will become Hokage!" Naruto declared proudly.
"Uchiha Sasuke," Sasuke said simply.
"My name is Sakura Haruno, please take care of me, and thank you for helping us earlier," Sakura said politely.
Kakashi's eye twitched slightly.
Being the teacher of these three problem children was truly exhausting.
"That should be enough for introductions," Sora said calmly.
He remained neither warm nor cold.
His eyes were as calm as still water.
Since Zabuza would certainly return soon, they had more important matters to discuss.
"Zabuza will definitely come back, and he will not come alone, so until he is dealt with we are allies facing a common enemy," Sora continued.
"Because of that we should discuss our strategy."
"How much information do you have about Zabuza?" Kakashi asked.
He was not fully aware of Zabuza's current situation, so he wanted to hear what Sora knew.
"As far as I know, Zabuza has another expert assisting him," Sora said.
"If that person fights seriously, their strength will be significantly higher than an average Chunin. They are still not at the level of a Jonin, but ordinary Chunin would not stand a chance."
Sora was referring to Haku.
Although Haku was powerful, his greatest weakness was his soft heart.
In the original situation Haku had many chances to kill Naruto and Sasuke instantly.
Yet he never delivered the fatal blow.
Showing mercy to enemies during battle severely limited his true strength.
Unless Haku hardened his resolve, his normal combat ability would remain around high Chunin level.
However if Zabuza was in danger, Haku would undoubtedly fight far more fiercely.
"Oh, you have information about him?" Kakashi asked while maintaining his lazy posture.
However a sharp glint flashed in his eye.
"He belongs to the Minazuki clan and possesses the Ice Release Bloodline Limit," Sora said.
"The Minazuki clan was once one of the two great bloodline families of kirikagura. I don't think I need to explain how dangerous that bloodline limit can be."
Kakashi sighed quietly, "That really is troublesome because if I had known earlier, I might have abandoned this mission."
The reward for this mission was ridiculously low. Yet the difficulty had practically reached S-rank level.
On top of that he had to protect three inexperienced Genin.
Anyone would feel frustrated in this situation.
"How can you say that because we promised to help that old man!" Naruto shouted immediately.
At this moment Sora almost felt sympathy for Kakashi.
Regardless of Naruto's future potential, right now he was simply a huge burden.
Traveling with him meant constantly risking trouble.
"I will handle the Ice Release user," Sora said calmly.
"Zabuza has already learned my fighting style and techniques. If I fight him again it will be much harder. But you are different because he has not figured out your Sharingan or your abilities.
You have the advantage against him."
"So you want me to fight Zabuza while you handle the Ice Release ninja?" Kakashi asked.
"Yes," Sora replied.
"You still have your mission, so let your students focus on protecting the client while also watching for any additional enemies."
Although Sora remembered that Zabuza originally only had Haku as an ally, there was no guarantee the situation would remain the same.
Because of Sora's presence, Zabuza might hire additional rogue ninjas.
Taking precautions was always wise.
Naruto immediately protested, "What, you want the three of us to just stand there and watch?"
After training so hard recently, he was eager to prove himself in battle.
"Shut up, Naruto, this is an order," Kakashi said firmly.
He understood that Sora's plan made sense.
His students had potential, but they were still far too inexperienced.
Facing Zabuza or the Ice Release ninja directly would be extremely dangerous.
Their mission was to protect Tazuna.
This arrangement was the most reasonable.
"Then I will stay nearby for the next few days until Zabuza appears," Sora said calmly.
Based on Zabuza's recovery ability and Jonin-level physique, he would likely return within one or two days.
And when he did, the real battle would begin.
