"Here comes my favorite people,I've been looking for you guys" I hollered over the music excusing myself from my charming dance partner with a Slavic accent "sorry babe,we went looking for the other babe" Theo answeredpointing at Camille who looked like she wasn't having a blast "don't babe me" "okay babe" he gave a smirk at his comment.
Damn that stupid face
"Cam,you okay?" She shook her head vigorously at my question as I held her hand "I need some air" she whispered with a shaky breath. not a moment more,she headed to the exit.
"You gentlemen care to explain?" I asked with a raised brow,they looked at each other before Skye spoke "I'm guessing it's an Andre problem"
He was here?
my eyes widened urging him to continue "we saw them at the back of the building talking but the atmosphere was fucking tense.....she sort of flaked out on him" an exhausted breath came out of me before I spoke "who would have thought huh?,we came here so she could forget him but now she's more consumed than ever" the whole situation was turning into a never ending cycle which we didn't appreciate.
"at this point we'll have to leave,she's not feeling it" Theo suggested with disappointment which Skye and I nodded in agreement to. After getting our stuff and clearing out tab,we exited Vibranium with hesitation but the will to be a friend...
Next day
Andre's POV
The ball slipped from my hand the fifth time in a match today and I hadn't made a single dunk "get your head in the game Makeila" coach yelled frustratedly from the bleachers "I'm trying sir" I yelled back with sweat glistening my forehead.
What's wrong with me?
Long minutes into practice,Vasily saved one of many sloppy passes I had made today. After the first half,I got benched for the first time since freshman year.

"Andre,you good?"Levi asked carefully while handing me a bottle of water "yeah dude,what happened to bringing your A game?" Vincent questioned as he came out from the shower "it was practice" I lied while using my blue towel to dry my hair "bullshit,you're always fired up practice or not" the whole team hummed I'm agreement at Vasily's statement, "whatever it is sort it out before next week,take a break if you need to" Levi suggested which I disagreed coldly "I don't need it" he just grinned with his eyes boring at me through his glasses "your call".
closing my locker,I took my duffel bag and left the locker room not ready to continue the conversation.
Camille's POV
A hand placed on my shoulder brought me back to reality "I'm sorry,you were saying?" I asked bashfully which the lady I asked gave tight smile to " I asked what your name was?" "I'm Camille Morgan"
She nodded with a smile at my answer tucking a hair behind her ear "nice to meet you Camille,I'm Juliana Malhotra your PT for your fresh man year"I smiled "nice to meet you too" after that,our tutor and the tutored relationship kicked off. I found out she was was half Indian and African American,she was the heir to her father's real estate,was twenty four and a final year student.
"It was nice talking to you Camille" "same here" I said in all honesty as we headed to the library exit "whatever is on your mind,face it head on if it seems or feels important to you" my smiled faded in shock at her words "you spaced out a few more times in our convo,so I can tell something's up" my face warmed in embarrassment which she laughed at "we'll meet tomorrow afternoon 2pm sharp,bye"
"Bye Julianna" the words barely came out as I lingered on her advice wondering if what I had to face was important.

"Beck,I need to know where Andre's house is"
"What?" he spat out pausing his game while leaning back in the chair in the school lounge "you're joking?" I simply looked at him dead in the eyes "I can't tell you that and I'm sure you know why?" he deadpanned staring right back at me.

His question made me frown softly "but I can tell you where he probably is" my eyes lit up at his confession urging him to go on "he's probably at the ice rink at in the heart of the city,you'll know it the moment you see it" I beamed more than I should "thanks Becky" he gave me a signature glare which made me smile more as I picked my bag ready to get an Uber since I was too impatient to wait for Draven then I stopped in my tracks "why are you being helpful?" I couldn't help but ask making him pause his game again and look at me with his dark orbs
"Don't know actually but I don't feel I'm doing the wrong thing y'know?" nodding I replied swiftly "you're not and thank you" with that,I headed straight to the parking lot.
Using few minutes to order an Uber,I went straight to my group with my gang
Me:won't be able to meet up for lunch,I'm going to apologize and settle everything🫡✨
Theo: settle what?
Lucy:it's about Andre dipshit,obviously

Reading the chats,I was more motivated than before and texted back

Sighing contently,I saw the Uber parked in front of me and I got in quickly afterwards placing my phone in my cartier bag,without a moment to waste the car sped out of west hills.
Amidst the ride,I thought of Julianna's statement and all my thinking could sum up to was,this was important,what I was doing was important and most of all for some reason my mind couldn't place....he was important.
