Chapter 28 - Chapter 29: The Global Summit of Hope

Emon was invited to the United Nations to address the world leaders. He stood at the podium, his frame thin but his presence commanding. He didn't talk about profit margins or market shares. He talked about the boy who used to stare at the ceiling, waiting for his breath to return. "Health should not be a luxury of the rich," he declared. "It is a right of the living."

He announced that he was releasing the patents for his nano-sensor technology for free to developing nations. The room was silent for a moment, then erupted in the longest standing ovation in UN history. Leaders who had spent their lives at war were now shaking hands over medical cooperation. Emon's name was being whispered as a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize. But as he walked off the stage, he leaned heavily on his cane. His sister, Maya, was waiting in the wings. "You did it, Emon," she whispered. Emon looked at her, his eyes clouded with exhaustion. "No, Maya. We just started."
