Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 Digimon Gets a Double Kill

The first simulation ended quickly, and the system presented new options after the first few interactions.

[⑤~Training: Improve the strength of the trainer and the monster through items.]

  [⑥~Backpack: The items you hold.]

[⑦~Companions: The statistic of the bond between you and your companions.]

  [Momotsuka Takuma: 10]

  [Hyuga Minoru: 10]

  [Aoi Shibuya: 5]

  [Ryo Tominaga: 0]

  [Shuuji Kayama: 0]

  [Saki Kimishima: 0]

  [Kaito Shinonome: 0]

  [Miu Shinonome: 0]

Note: None of the above characters will appear in this book; it is a pure Pokémon story. More unfamiliar characters!

Link, who originally thought he could gain an advantage in future information through the simulator, remained silent for a long time. Both the overly casual way he died and the meaningless system had dealt him a blow.

Sure enough… the system made a mistake?

Could it be that he received a Pokémon system in another world?

  The silence was deafening.

He looked around and, finding the situation relatively stable, assumed Team Marine wouldn't cause trouble anytime soon, so he "started again."—Omitted.

[Although you're curious about the incongruity between the first-aid kit and the school building, it's better to stay with everyone in an unfamiliar environment to avoid becoming the culprit's first target.]

[The group went up to the second floor and found the withdrawn, sarcastic, and unpleasant senior, Ryo Tominag, in a classroom.]

[Sure enough, he was also being harassed by a mysterious monster. According to Agumon, the insect-type Digimon beside him was called Kunemon, and it seemed harmless, just wanting to play with Ryo.]

[However, Ryo had no affection for these monsters that had attacked them before, utterly rejecting them as companions, and even getting angry at his juniors who viewed them rationally.]

[The others were puzzled by his fear and fussiness, but learned from Ryo that other monsters and even ghosts existed in the abandoned school building.]

[A ghost...is it the kind of ghost you know?]

[Just as everyone was feeling uneasy, a large amount of sticky spider webs suddenly appeared in the classroom.]

[Ryo screamed immediately, as if he had seen something strange. Before anyone could ask him, they heard the calm and gentle Aoi also exclaim in surprise.]

[Labramon hurriedly looked in Aoi's direction...Aoi was gone!]

Link, seeing this, instinctively thought, "What's wrong with you Chosen Ones? A perfectly good classic adventure has turned into a horror story?

And this simulator can't only simulate things from another world forever, right? Can the items from that world work on the people and spirits of this world?"

[Ryo said that Aoi had been captured by an extremely fast monster, and everyone panicked. Labramon suggested that everyone split up to search for Aoi.]

[Takuma and Minoru agreed, and left the classroom under Ryo's look of utter disbelief.]

Huh? Split up? Isn't that just sending them all to their deaths?

[You and Ryo stare at each other for a moment, feeling inexplicably powerless and exhausted. But the fighting power of Labramon and Aoi-senpai is necessary in this world. You and Pukamon leave the classroom, leaving Ryo alone in a corner, trembling.]

  [Exploring~]

  [A wild Digimon has appeared!]

Link thinks to himself, "Damn it, it's time to start all over again.

" [When enemies meet, their eyes blaze with hatred. You hold Pukamon and keep moving, using your special move "Sessho-seki" to poke Digimon.]

  "Hmm?"

  Seems promising?

[But before you transmigrated, you were just a completely regressed, useless college student. Although you regained a youthful body, you were quickly pierced through the abdomen by Digimon's "Air Cannon."]

  "..."

[In the face of life and death, your weak but desperate figure inspired Pokomon, causing it to evolve into Ravemon!]

[Even in its Rookie stage, Ravemon was quite large and possessed an agile body, making it an excellent combat form. It charged forward and tore Digimon apart with a single "Fox Flash."]

[But with your abdomen and organs shattered by Digimon, you were powerless to turn the tide. Even defeating your enemy was futile. You slowly dissipated into light under the bright moonlight.]

[At the same time, Ravemon also transformed into fragments of data, following you into the afterlife.]

[Simulation ended. You gained 10 coins, 10 bits, and 1 Learning Crystal.] [

Learning Crystallization: Improves the subject's learning ability; markings emerge from the beautiful stone, looking like writing on a board...]

[Moderate simulation is beneficial to the brain, excessive simulation is harmful to the body. The number of simulations that can be performed per day is 2 + (Perception - 10) / 2 times. Please recover your condition before continuing.]

Both simulations ended hastily, yielding nothing of value to the current situation, but leaving Link mentally exhausted.

Moreover, Link felt that there was something wrong with these Chosen Children, and Pukamon seemed to be acting against him.

But why did Foxmon also die after he was killed by Digimon?

Could it be that his life and death in the other world were tied to his Digimon?

Link shook his head. Now was not the time to explore the background of the simulator. He should first study the effects of coins and bits.

With this simulation, the system once again showed new interactive options:

  [⑧~Shop: Used to purchase supplies.]

[⑨~Free Battle: Replicate experienced scenes, enemies, battles, or obtain coins and bits in stages.] It didn't take long for Link to understand the uses of these two system currencies.

Bits could be used in the [Training] interface to enhance his and his Digimon's strength.

Digimon could gain experience points by investing Bits, improving their basic abilities.

Humans could invest Bits to enhance six attributes: Strength, Agility, Constitution, Intelligence, Perception, and Charisma, as well as various tamer-specific skills.

Incidentally, all six of Link's attributes were 10, and adding points required 1000 Bits.

He would have to defeat 100 Digimon repeatedly to add one point...

Since he had nothing else to do, Link simply equipped his Pukamon, which was already capable of evolving, with "Learning Crystals" in the [Training] interface, and used the system's built-in auto-farming function to farm money and experience without progressing through the story.

The efficiency wasn't high, yielding 10 coins and Bits every 2 minutes (fluctuating), but Pukamon would level up with each battle, which should greatly improve efficiency.

During this time, Link browsed the system shop, looking for items that could be used immediately.

The results were not optimistic. He discovered that most of the items inside could only be used by Digimon… To be honest, he didn't even have any Pokémon yet, and couldn't even confirm whether these items would be effective against the Pokémon in this world.

Moreover, most of the items were very expensive, some requiring the completion of specific side quests or spending a large amount of Bits to purchase.

Helpless, he had no choice but to continue playing, hoping to recover and look forward to tomorrow's simulation.

He hoped Team Aqua wouldn't sink them, the kidnapped people, into the Hoenn Sea tonight…

The environment wasn't pleasant, but thankfully, the melodies of the ocean helped him fall asleep.

Unfortunately, his good fortune didn't last long.

That night, the members of Team Aqua opened the hatch and used their Pokémon to force everyone onto the deck.
