The battle in the mirror-world spilled over into the physical plane. The emerald light that usually protected the village turned a toxic shade of black. The 1600 djinns were forced into a choice: stay loyal to Emon's conscience or join their "Regret" (the 1601st) and reclaim their destructive nature.
The second mega twist occurred when Khairul Nafas, Emon's most trusted general, seemingly betrayed him. Khairul knelt before the 1601st Jinni and offered the "Key of Solomon," which could unlock the prison of the Primeval Void. But as the 1601st reached for the key, Khairul's emerald flames turned into white ice. It was a trap. Khairul hadn't betrayed Emon; he had infused his own life force into the key to turn it into a seal. However, the cost was total: Khairul Nafas began to dissolve into stardust. Emon had to watch his best friend die to save a world that was already forgetting him. But even in death, Khairul whispered a secret: "The 1601st is not the end. It is only the lock."
