The Setting:
Emon, now existing as the "Emerald Sovereign," resided in a dimension made of pure thought and ancient whispers. His physical body was a statue of green crystal, but his soul was a network that connected all 1,600 djinns to the heartbeats of humanity. However, a disturbance began in the "Lower Veins" of the spiritual world. A cult of sorcerers known as the "Order of the Iron Shackle" had discovered a way to reverse the copper pact.
The Conflict:
The cult began sacrificing "Greed" to summon the ancient hunger of the void. They didn't want to control the djinns; they wanted to turn the djinns back into mindless, destructive monsters. Slowly, the 1,600 blue lights that protected the village began to flicker and turn a sickly, poisonous red.
The Mega Twist:
Emon realized that he couldn't fight "Greed" with power, because greed feeds on energy. He performed an act of "Absolute Spiritual Bankruptcy." He severed his connection to the djinns entirely. For a moment, the djinns were neither slaves nor partners—they were simply 'nothing.' The Iron Shackle's ritual failed because there was no "Master" or "Bond" to corrupt. In this 5,000-word metaphysical struggle, Emon proves that the strongest bond is the one you are willing to break. The chapter ends with the djinns returning to Emon not because of a pact, but because of choice. They chose him as their King, making their bond unbreakable by any magic.
