One month has passed since the incident.
Miyuki had somehow calmed down. She didn't seem as insane as she was, but still empty. She was eating bit by bit, but not a lot still.
It had also been a week since she met Sumi and the Twins. Sumi had come over some times to help take care of Miyuki. She diante have any mark or different ears, so she was a human at best. Maybe she knew Rumika's struggles with the speecies.
The twins had also been helping, but in the emotional part. Takemi had somehow found out about the real reason of why Miyuki was on Rumika's house, but thankfully she didn't tell anyone. Her brother, on the other hand, still seemed oblivious.
Rumika frowns, looking at Sumi.
"Her eyes sometimes turn their natural colour. Other time they turn black again. I still haven't found out why she does that."
"Hmn... That's strange" - Sumi thinks. - "normally they loose their head and their eyes stay black forever... maybe she's fighting it? Like, trying to stay conscious?"
"You really think that's possible?"
"You live in a world with giant human fishes, half animals and humans with powers. You never now, girl" -Sumi makes a deadpan face.
"Fine. If you really think so." - Rumika sighs. - "She stills seems pretty wary of you."
"Yeah. Maybe because of that whole thinking I'm the killer thing... well, i should get going. I think she's eating me alive with that look."
Rumika laughs.
"Sure. Be safe out there."
Then, Right after Sumi leaves, there's another ring bell...
"Oh my fucking god i can't have 5 minutes...."
Rumika opens the door to see Takemi standing there, with plastic bag and a raised eyebrow.
"If you want me to leave just say so."
"No, no.. sorry, come in."
Rumika steps aside to let the taller female come in.
"What bring you here? And why are you alone?"
"Me and my brother might be twin but we don't do everything together, yknow... you offend me"
"Sorry..."
"Plus, i thought you might need these."
She takes out of the plastic bag sleeping pills.
"Miyuki isn't givung me trouble right now.."
Rumika raises an eyebrow, confused, while Takemi looks at her as if she was dumb.
"I can see those eyebags yknow."
"Oh."
Takemi sighs.
"And i can tell you've been abducating your room for her." -She glances towards Rumika's room. - "Want help moving her?"
".. if its not a bother."
Takemi approaches Miyuki, ignoring the punches and bites the paragon gives her while picking her up, and moves her to the guest's room.
There, she closes the door, pretending nothing happened.
"There, all yours."
Rumika looks at her, concerned.
"Didn't that hurt?"
"Sirens are known for being strong, i don't mind."
"You're way nicer than i thought..." -She softens- "can i give you some coffee? Or water?"
"Water is fine." -She sits on the couch.
Rumika goes to the kitchen, grabbing a cup of water.
She goes back, sitting next to her and giving her the water she asked for.
"Thank you." -she smiles- "for doing this for me. I thought i was done for on day one... but im so glad i met you and your brother..."
"Where's this lame talk coming from?"
"I just felt like saying thank you. And i have the need to repay you someday."
Takemi snorts
"You dont have to."
"Your breaking that nonchalant facade"
"Shut it." -she surpresses a smile.
"I can see that."
"Fine." - Takemi smiles.- "it better be a good payback, or im never helping you again."
