Chapter 1 - The End and New Beginning

A slender man is sitting alone at a cafe, scrolling on his phone, looking at his unread messages from his friends.

'Jake, you useless piece of shit.'

'Go die in a hole, you bastard.'

'You messed up my life.'

As Jake looks back at what happened back in school, where he was bullied and everything he tried to do for others always ended in disaster. Like when he was trying to be nice and give a friend some food he had left over.

Which had food poisoning and caused them to be in the hospital for 2 months.

'Why am I such a plague?'

'Nothing goes my way.'

Jake left the cafe, and as he was walking down the street, he saw an elderly lady holding food shopping. She was struggling to hold it, so he went over and tried to help.

Jake asked, "Let me carry those for you."

"Thank you there, love." She responds with a smile.

As Jake walked down the street next to this woman. He tripped on the curb, dropping all the shopping, and while he was falling, he tripped over the elderly woman, causing her to fall over on her head. Causing her to have to go to the hospital and get 10 stitches in her head to heal her.

As Jake walked out of the hospital and down the street.

He thought, 'Am I really a good person

What makes me any different from those villains? I cause harm to others all the time.'

'I'm a disease.'

Jake stops by the corner shop to pick up cup noodles and beer. He then walks back home, cup noodles and beer in hand, thinking about what he did wrong. Whether he should have tried harder at school. Not to play games in the back, to try revising, not thinking he's better than these tests. Thinking about how everything failed for him.

'Just why didn't I try?'

'I'm just some sad-ass loser who didn't know when to stop.'

Jake walked into his house. Closing the door slowly.

"I'm home," he shouted in the direction of the TV.

He got no response. Only a cold, distant glare from his sister.

Jake walked over to my kitchen, where he heated up the noodles and saw his sister go to bed next door to him.

He reminisced about the past: 'If only Mother and Father were still here.'

As he thought about the car crash that occurred 2 years ago. He still vividly remembers the scream of his mother and the despair on his father's face as the car crashed, as only his little sister and he survived.

Moving past the memories, he picked up the cup noodle, and he remembered he had to go and get some antidepressants from the pharmacy.

As he walked out of the house, slowly walking down the dark, damp street with the lights of the street lamps dancing off him.

Jake turned the corner and crossed the road. Unknowingly walking into the path of a speeding car.

"Bang!"

As the lights around him start to fade. He thought of his sister. The smile that she used to have. The happiness she used to give Jake.

'Oh, how I've failed you, Frida, my beloved little sister.'

'How pathetic a person I am'

'This is how I end.'

As I die alone in the middle of the street.

Jake re-awoke in a place. Looking like the middle of the cosmos.

But there in front of Jake is a man. White hair, fair skin, eyes like galaxies.

Then the man speaks.

"Hi."

I reply, "Hi?"

"Where am I?"

The man says, "The boundary of the universe."

"Why am I here?"

"I don't know," he says, smiling.

"That's a lie. And I know it," Jake responded.

While smiling, he says, "I just got bored and picked a dead soul, which was you."

"Who even are you, and what do you mean 'picked a dead soul'?"

He says, "I am 'everything,' and I mean I picked up your dead consciousness and brought it here."

"And I brought you here for my entertainment."

Jake asks, "Why did you describe yourself as 'everything'?"

He responds, "Every living being has a word that describes them. As I said, I'm everything in the universe, and the word that describes you is 'ruin.'"

"Like when you brought ruin to yourself, parents, sister, and friends. Everyone you've ever known has been brought to ruin by you." He finishes while smiling.

Jake responded, his emotions flaring. "Are you saying everything is MY FAULT?"

He responds, "Of course, but I'm offering you a solution." He says, smiling.

"To be reborn anew and not have the sins of past times haunt you."

"With a new meaning of your existence!"

Jake looked at him dumbfounded at his proposal.

Jake said slowly, "I accept."

"Brilliant now to pick a word to describe your new existence…"

"I know!"

"It's going to be '$#*{$.'"

Jake slowly opens his eyes to see a woman holding him in her arms.

Lustrous white hair dropping over her shoulders down to her waist. Deep red eyes. She displays her strong facial features, giving her an ethereal beauty. This was complemented by her deep red dress and her beaming smile on her face, which shone like a star in the sky.

She slowly turns her head to the right, where a tall, handsome man is standing. With messy pure black hair. Golden eyes like the sun. Also with strong facial features. Jake's eyes are attracted to the golden sword hanging at his waist.

As Jake surveyed the scene around him, he noticed women in maid outfits bowing in the corner of the room. Men with metal armor on, some with long curved blades, some with massive great-swords hanging over their shoulders, all of which were showing respect to the women, the man, and Jake in the middle.

As Jake tries to move, he realizes his limbs are tiny and weak, and he doesn't have full control over them as he tries to push himself up.

The woman opens her mouth and says, "Welcome to this world, Moros."
