I woke up because the birds were chirping; it seemed spring was coming, and so were the small life that spring tends to bring.
I immediately checked my team members online.
-Kit: OFFLINE
-Exile: OFFLINE
-Serina: OFFLINE
-Noobie: ONLINE
"Online?" I puffed up my cheeks. Why is that dummy online? I tilted my head and tried to think about it, but then I just shrugged. Whatever. I was about to get out of bed, but then Cerelia scared me so bad I almost fell over.
"Good morning, master. Was it comfortable drooling on my chest this morning?" Cerelia asked in a blunt, honest remark.
"C-Cerelia!? God, SAY SOMETHING so I know you're there!" I panicked.
"Allow me, master…" Cerelia replied as she quickly put me in my obsidian dragon armor. "Don't move so much, master…"
I tried really hard not to wiggle while she put on all the armor pieces. The gauntlets always feel weird. When we were finally ready, I waved at Cerelia to follow me. We went out of the room and down the stairs to the tavern. My stomach was making noises.
While we went down, I saw a bunch of horses running past outside. The tavern felt empty today. Tim, Tina, John, and Shadow Hunter were sitting at their table, all quiet and not moving. It was weird. I approached the guild receptionist, as she had a huge frown on her face.
"Hey, what's wrong?" I questioned.
She didn't say anything. She just pointed at the request board with a big sigh. Cerelia and I walked towards the request board…there were a ton of requests…but it was ALL THE SAME… until our eyes landed on one.
REQUEST FORM: DEATH TO THE LEFT HAND OF THE UNFALLEN
CLIENT: THANALORD
CONDITIONS: THE LEFT HAND IS SLAIN, ALONG WITH THE QUEEN, AND THE PRINCESS.
PAYMENT: 3,000 gold bars to whoever collects all 3 kills
NOTES: THE LEFT HAND IS PRESUMED WELDING HIS LATE LORD'S SWORD MIST EDGE.
SIGNED: (TYRANT SEAL)
My eyes widened…I knew why he was online now.
I immediately mobilized before another group of dark knights galloped past outside as they yelled out, "WE'RE MARCHING TO DEFEAT THE LEFT HAND OF THE UNFALLEN, THOSE WHO WISH POWER AND WEALTH AND REWARD; FOLLOW US TO GLORY IN THE NAME OF THE KING!!!!"
They all rallied out and galloped, but the concerning part wasn't them; there were the knights, and then came the mercenaries from the east on horseback and their long spears with their banners (like heavy samurai cavalry) galloping to make haste as well.
Cerelia looked at me in confusion, "Master, what should we do?"
"WE GOT TO GO LOCATE NOOBIE, armies are coming after him, and the queen and the princess!" I declared.
A dark knight then steps into the tavern, he studies the room, then ignores us and proceeds to question the guild master and the guild receptionist, asking if they've seen "THE LEFT HAND of the UNFALLEN," to which both denied.
That knight wasn't taking NO for an answer; he took the guild master by the neck and demanded an answer.
The guild master would struggle, "I-I really don't know! I've never even SEEN the Left Hand!"
The guild receptionist would try to pry the knight off the guild master, "Please, SIR! We DON'T know who the Left Hand is!! Harming a Guild Official is a Felony in the Guild Laws-"
The knight smacks the Guild Receptionist with his other hand, "GUILD LAWS THAT WE UPHOLD, BUT THE LEFT-HAND DISREGARDS!!"
I clutched my fists then with rage, "Cerelia…"
"Yes, master, your command?" Cerelia bowed with undying loyalty.
"Your first command…is to protect this Guild tavern, and the ones here, excluding this knight from the likes of knights and beings like him!" I ordered.
"Your wish is my command!" Cerelia obeyed.
Cerelia's eyes glowed with blue hues, and the blue spell circles glowed brightly as she snatched the guild master away from the knight's grasp and the guild receptionist out of the knight's range.
The knight, astonished, turns around to face Cerelia, followed by Tim, Tina, John, and Shadow Hunter.
"Go, MISSY! We'll buy YOU TIME!!" Tina yells.
I didn't waste any time darting out of the tavern and towards the castle that was once the UNFALLEN KINGDOM's.
"Assaulting a dark paladin on the orders of the king IS punishable…by death." The paladin states as he draws out his huge great sword.
"W-well, trying to choke out old man guild storm IS ALSO A CRIME!" Tim responded with his party nodding in agreement.
"Step aside, young ones, I'll take this one, take care of the Guild master and the guild receptionist…" Cerelia's eyes then turned teal, "I shall not disappoint my master and hold my ground and my beliefs here."
Cerelia holds a fighting stance as the dark knight lunges forward to slam his great sword, which makes a crater in the tavern's floor.
Cerelia is already on the ceiling with her hair draping down as she swings side to side from the impact of the attack.
Dark knight then casts, "Dark REGIME!!" his sword becomes wrapped in dark energy as souls wail and scream.
Cerelia then USES "SCAN"
Cerelia can see Knight's HP bar, his Mana bar, and his stats.
Then out of nowhere, "PROTECT AEGIS!!" and the hexagonal prisms began swirling around Cerelia.
Tim is seen standing up, blocking the exit, "OMEGA DOESN'T FEAR TYRANTS!!" (he's referring to Kit's quote)
"You would stand up against the KING!? Then you're also dead!" the knight declares.
"Then he's not alone!! Take this, "ICE PRISON!!" Tina casts, holding her wand high. Ice begins to form at the knight's feet, trapping him in place.
"There's mine too! "HOLY GRAIL!" John casts, and they all begin to glow with a faint golden aura.
"I was never a Tyrant Loyalist!! Take THIS!! "Shadow shooters!" Shadow hunter casts as 4 more images of him shoot arrows to slow the knight's speed.
The guild receptionist, unable to stand by, stands up and chants, then casts, "Will of the Statues!" They all begin glowing a green hue.
The knight, outnumbered, begins snickering, "I'm going to enjoy killing every last one of you present!"
He breaks the ice instantly and charges the guild master.
The blade is CAUGHT mid swing as the knight struggles to pry it out, away from Cerelia, who caught the blade mid swing. The aura, corrupted and wailing, disappears immediately.
"My master has given me a command…and I would see to it that the command is… FULFILL," Cerelia confirms as she glared at the knight with purple-hued eyes this time.
The knight kicks himself off as he draws out his short sword, and Cerelia destroys the great sword with ease.
"I suppose I'll kill you first, the crazy woman," the knight smirked.
Another dark knight enters the tavern, seeing the fight, he takes out his lance.
"PERFECT, GIVE ME A HAND AND KILL THOSE KIDS!" the first knight says.
"WHY are you wasting mana fighting these kids!?" the second one argues.
While they were occupied, Cerelia charged up her spell circles on both her wrists as they began to increase in size and became a hula hoop, with her being able to rotate at will. The spell circles glowed blue, their intensity fluctuating as she rotated them; they obeyed her will.
Both knights cast "SWORD WAVES OF DESTRUCTION!!"
As the knights launched air slices of waves towards Cerelia. She danced gracefully. Playing with her hula hoop, slicing the air slices and redirecting them back towards the knights. Slicing and damaging both heavily.
"W-WHAT in the world is this crazy woman!?" the first knight mutters as he bleeds.
The knights then combined their efforts, "Tyrant's grasp!!"
A huge sword comes out of the ground and flies towards Cerelia to impale her. Only for Cerelia, to put the two-spell circle hula hoop together. The hula hoops sucked up the mana sword and shot the beam back at them, defeating them.
"ARGH…ughh…i-impossible…how could anyone deflect the Tyrant's grasp!?" the knights utter as they fell.
Cerelia continued to play with her hula hoops. Swinging, rotating them in the air, and catching them with both wrists up. The circles returned to their normal size until the dark paladins were confirmed unconscious.
"Whoa…THAT WAS AMAZING, sister CERELIA!!!" Tim yelled out.
"C-can you teach me how to use it too! Tina quickly grabbed Cerelia by her apron.
Cerelia smiles, "If master permits me, then I'll teach you how to play and make Hula Hoops…"
The guild receptionist and guild master smiled in relief. Their fight was over, but mine was still just beginning.
I snuck into the castle grounds. It was empty because all the guards were running around. I tiptoed to the stables, looking for a sad war horse. I hoped it would know the sigils I had. When I got close, the horse made a snuffy noise and looked surprised to see me.
I patted its head, handed the sigils and told it, "TAKE me to him, your master…take me to him."
The horse kept snuffing and looking everywhere. I think I was nervous. I tried to put some armor on it, but I didn't really know how. If it felt tight, I guessed it was good enough. I climbed on, and the horse took off so fast I almost fell right off its back.
"WHAAAA!!! SL-slow down!!!" I tried to yell as it ran through the castle grounds.
Now the guards had noticed and rang the alarm as they drew up the drawbridge.
Silly horse.
The horse just kept running and running. It even jumped into the moat! We stumbled, but we made it to the other side. It was getting dark, so the Tyrant's army couldn't find me. I got back on the horse, and we went even faster.
HANG on, Noobie! We're coming to save you, hold on!
Ping!
Kit: ONLINE
Exile: ONLINE
The trails to the local village were a mess, flames everywhere, corpses lying about, while villagers and peasants cried. I continued galloping with his friend. I studied the chaos.
TEAM CHAT
Kit: WTF, where's Noobie!?
Exile: He's wanted; we need to find him before the Tyrant clan freaks out…
Kit: Oi dumb girl, FIND Noobie!!
Missy: I-I can't find him!?
How am I supposed to find him?
Exile: USE your dumb spell from last time, wherever it goes, that's where he is!!
Missy: …
OH… oh. HAHA, I forgot…
I then took out my scepter spear…focused while trying to brace on the back of the horse. Think of a car with no shocks and no comfort…and no cup holders.
Wait, what's a car? And what are cup holders? Why did I? Never mind.
I almost lose my grip as the horse continues to run at full speed, before I then focus. I thought of Noobie, bloodied and broken…fighting with his phantom guarding his rear, and only the two of them protecting the queen and the princess. I raised my scepter as the horse leaps over a wooden fence leading to a green pasture.
The spell circle appeared beneath the horse and me. Slowly expanded, by the second as we kept going. We passed a hill, and then the sight was horrible. I saw multiple fire arrows fired at a single area of the field with a ridge and a cliff on the side of the mountain.
There on the mountain by the cliff, on a narrow edge, Noobie was fighting with 3-4 paladins by himself. His right-hand phantom carefully deflects arrows and blows that would have passed Noobie. Protecting the queen and the princess from harm.
Noobie is a porcupine with arrows stuck in him, multiple pike heads, and spears cut off from their shafts. There was no shield; his entire helmet is gone, and he's bleeding from his forehead.
As the spell circle expanded past the horizon. I yelled at the top of my voice while the horse galloped as fast as it could to Noobie, "ABYSMAL DAMNATION!!!!!!"
The spell circle disappears as the beam is shot up from my scepter spear into the skies, soul flames descending into the chaos. I'd see the Tyrant army react as they erected barriers and shields and even fire nullification magic as the spell dropped onto them.
"NOOBIE!" I yelled out.
He must've heard me because he glanced over, followed by a smile, while he urged the queen to leap onto the horse.
I used the item "SOS of the adventurers." Shooting the flare up into the night sky, matching the chaotic fire arrows and the fireball spells crashing down onto Noobie. The flare bloomed like a flower, drawing attention yet getting swallowed up in the chaos of the fireballs blazing past.
TEAM CHAT
KIT: We're on it, we saw your flare!
Exile: Hold on just a bit longer!
"Your majesty, quickly!" I urged her as she leaped, landing onto the horse.
"FIRE!!" a tyrant officer commanded, as a volley of cannons and ballistae shot towards Noobie and the princess on the ridge.
The right-hand phantom parries a blow from a dark paladin. He notices the ballista flying towards the princess and takes the hit, vanishing instantly. Noobie would shield the princess with his body, bracing himself as he took the impact of the cannon fire and the ballista volley.
"NOOBIE!! QUICKLY!" I yelled as the queen adjusted herself behind me on the horse.
Noobie scrambles to his feet from the cannon fire, parrying a blow from a paladin behind him, protecting the princess as he stabs the paladin dead with his Mist Edge.
"FIRE!!!"
And another volley comes.
Noobie dives in and grabs the princess as they both fall over the ridge into the water far below. The queen and I stare in utter shock.
"SEARCH FOR HIM!! KILL HIM!!!" they rallied.
I dismount, "Your majesty, please take the horse, go to the guild tavern with the maid with the glowing blue wrists, you'll be safe there!"
"W-what about you, young missy?" the queen asked, concerned.
"I-I must see if Noobie is okay…" I answered.
The queen nodded, "Please protect my daughter, she's all I have left…"
She gallops away in the night.
God, you'd better be alive, Noobie…
