I took a deep breath and tried to focus. I knew I had to find a way out of the maze, but I had no idea where to start.
The Queen took my hand and led me forward. Trust me, she said. I know the way.
I nodded and followed her, trying to keep up as she navigated the twisting corridors with ease. We walked for what felt like hours, the darkness and silence starting to get to me.
But the Queen kept moving forward, her grip on my hand tight. Finally, I saw a glimmer of light ahead and my heart lifted.
We're almost there, the Queen said, smiling at me.
As we reached the end of the corridor, I saw a door made of pure light. The Queen pushed it open and we stepped through, finding ourselves back in the chamber with the ancient ones.
You have passed the final test, they said, smiling at us. You have proven yourselves worthy of our help.
The Queen and I looked at each other, both of us grinning from ear to ear. We did it, she said.
Yes, we did, I replied.
The ancient ones nodded. Then let us begin, they said. Let us save the world together.
And with that, they raised their hands and a bright light filled the room.
