Luellen didn't have to open her social media accounts to see the chaos. Even as she stepped into the conglomerate, people gossiped loudly. However, none of them looked in her direction. Luellen felt torn. Should she be relieved that they didn't mob her? In the back of her mind, she figured Shirley had done something again.
Otherwise, none of the attention would be kept from Luellen.
The maiden rode the elevator to the fifteenth floor. She inevitably saw familiar faces—people from the Sales Department. At their sharp side-eyes, Luellen realized her hindsight was correct again.
"Please hold that elevator!" A few more people rushed to get in. Since the elevator was wide enough to accommodate fifteen people, everyone just stepped back to give the new people some space.
