Right when Fang Yuan saw Star Constellation take out the mental domain, he was already preparing a killer move using Fortitude Gu to suppress his emotions and City Well to separate them. He was able to defend his mind from the expected emotional assault, yet even with his preparations, a sense of dejected impossibility crept into his mind.

Despite all these negative thoughts filtering into his mind, Fang Yuan kept launching killer moves at the qi fruit core to force Star Constellation to defend instead of capitalizing on their shaken mental states.
If Star Constellation hadn't been forced to defend, she could have broken through most of Fang Yuan's defences and forced him to reveal his rank nine Gu worms to defend himself.
Even as a luck path venerable, Giant Sun had supreme grandmaster attainment in blood path. To resist the dragon's roar, Giant Sun used a blood and luck path compound killer move called Lucky Sympathy Through Blood Connection. This killer move connects the user with their blood-related relatives, and the depth of the connection is dependent on their luck. The user of the killer move can use the sympathy of those connected to them to resist negative emotions.
Giant Sun's descendants, collectively known as the Huang Jin Family, are the largest family in the five continents and control almost the entirety of the Northern Plains. The amount of sympathy he has from his family gives him the power to resist the effect of the Mental Domain for a period of time. This move would be able to nullify the effects of Mental Domain under normal circumstances, but because of its amplification effect from the dragon, Giant Sun's move is functioning under a time limit before it breaks down.
Fang Yuan had previously led Spectral Soul Demon Venerable into Heavenly Court with the intention of creating chaos. Living up to Fang Yuan's expectations, Spectral Soul immediately began rampaging through Heavenly Court, trying to destroy the last heavenly pillar and completely unite both white and black heaven.

He completely ignored the other venerables as he destroyed millions of years of efforts by the Central Continent Gu immortals. His actions left unchecked would have destroyed the Heavenly Court and summoned the winds of assimilation, destroying everything within and removing the last pillar that kept the two heavens from fully combining.
The destruction of Heavenly Court was perhaps the worst thing that could happen to the righteous path. Star Constellation would gladly give her life if it guaranteed Heavenly Court would be left untouched.
Why?
Because this was almost definitely Primeval Origin Immortal Venerable's only revival scheme, and Heavenly Courts' destruction would ensure his permanent death.
The dragon's roar caught Spectral Soul's attention as it was the only thing to have attacked him since he got into Heavenly Court. Spectral Soul was filled with Heaven's Will and was in some sort of state of insanity. He immediately stopped his wanton destruction and focused entirely on the dragon.
Thousands of black palms smashed down with enough force to destroy stars, but they barely registered against the draconic construct.
With a flap of its wings, it was airborne and quickly began to breathe a river of stars at the incoming arms. Every time the breath met some part of Spectral Soul's body, an explosion occurred, destroying the arm and slightly weakening the breath.
Star Constellation was unable to deal with Spectral Soul's rampage and defend the qi fruit core from Giant Sun and Fang Yuan at the same time. She created the dragon as a distraction for Spectral Soul while she dealt with the two venerables.
Resisting a venerable would cause grievous amounts of damage to the Mental Domain, but it was the only way to maintain some control over the situation.
Thousand eyes!
Ten thousand light blue eyes appeared all around the area; every single one was either staring at Fang Yuan or Giant Sun. There was no visible effect, but both of them could noticeably feel the thoughts in their heads slow.
Giant Sun attacked the eyes that were looking at him with an unending number of golden needles while Fang Yuan destroyed them with an overflowing wave of swords. As the eyes were destroyed, the two venerables could feel their mind speed up again. Once all the eyes were destroyed, the remaining swords and needles began to target the qi fruit core, forcing Star Constellation to defend instead of going on the offensive.
I'm not sure why, but something feels odd about this entire situation. Obviously, I'm holding back quite a bit, but now is a great chance to inspect everyone's luck and see what is truly going on here.
When Giant Sun had last inspected luck before Fang Yuan's clone Qi Sea Ancestor exploded, Heavenly Court's luck was above everyone else's; it was showing signs of suppressing the luck of the other three venerables.
Now, instead of just showing signs of suppression, Heavenly Court's luck was actively dominating the luck of Giant Sun, Fang Yuan, and Spectral Soul.
Heavenly Court's luck looked like blue heaven before it was destroyed by Ren Zu and his children. It completely encompassed the other venerables' luck and seemed to be invading them.
Heaven Refining Demon Venerable's luck resembled a barely burning furnace with spider web cracks throughout and small puffs of smoke coming out in irregular puffs.
Spectral Soul's luck looked like a pitch black buddha sitting lotus style with a defiant scowl on its face, its one thousand arms were pushing up against Heavenly Courts luck, but it was having little effect.
Giant Sun's own luck looked like a golden dragon with eight blood red spots. It was currently curled up on itself, resisting patiently under Heavenly Court's pressure.
How has Heavenly Court's luck improved? It seems Star Constellation is still hiding quite a bit of her capabilities. Was even the detonation of Heaven Refining clone predicted and planned for?

Giant Sun's golden dragon luck took a deep breath and began to eat the Heavenly Court's blue heaven luck. Strangely, before the blue heaven luck was eaten, it changed into the same gray smoke that was being puffed out of Heaven Refining's furnace luck. After eating the luck surrounding him, the golden dragon slightly uncoiled as it made space for itself.
He's using luck path to mimic food path and is eating the luck of Star Constellation and Heavenly Court to lower hers and to increase his own. This killer move also has the profundities of heaven path by taking away surplus from one and distributing it to another.
Why are both Heaven Refining and my luck interacting with the same gray smoke? My intuition is telling me this is extremely suspicious, and somehow, someone has hidden their luck from me, the luck path venerable.
This grey smoke must be from one of the other venerables who has either revived and is yet to reveal themselves, or a venerable who has left methods to interfere with the world and probably assist with their revival. Hmmmmm, there's a good chance this grey smoke means Primordial Origin Immortal Venerable will be trying to revive soon. This Qi fruit core is obviously the revival methods main focus, with how focused Star Constellation is on protecting it.
