Chapter 94 - Shared Joy is Better

On the second day after her birthday, Kate boarded the train back to Hogwarts with Hermione.

Yesterday was probably the happiest birthday Kate had spent since coming to this world. Although only the old butler and Hermione were there to help her celebrate, it was warm enough.

As soon as they returned to Hogwarts, Harry told them that he had obtained a magical Invisibility Cloak and had also seen a mirror that could show a person's inner desires. He even invited them to go see it together.

Kate expressed her refusal; she really didn't want to see the scene of pure-blood families kneeling before her again. Her little heart couldn't take it.

Hermione, however, was unprecedentedly interested in this and wanted to drag Kate along.

"However, night wandering to that abandoned classroom is too troublesome. Why don't we go directly after lunch?"

As expected of Hermione, even when looking in a mirror, she considered whether it would violate school rules. Kate couldn't refuse for a moment, so she simply made a decision: "Then let's call everyone along!"

If a pile of students lined up to look in the mirror, the law couldn't punish the masses, and Old Man Dumbledore probably wouldn't say anything either.

So, just after lunch, Harry grabbed Neville, Ron grabbed his twin brothers, and even Hermione called along Lavender and Parvati from the same dormitory. A group of people walked mightily toward that abandoned classroom, not avoiding anyone at all.

Very good, they were all a bunch of lions. The only little snake caught in the middle of a group of lions felt her mood was a bit subtle.

"Kate, didn't you call any friends?" Harry asked curiously as he led them toward the abandoned classroom, seeing that Kate was the only one standing alone.

Ron made a bitter face. "Come on, don't call anyone else from Slytherin over." Anyway, in his impression, apart from Kate, Slytherins were not good people!

"Coincidentally, the person I called over just happens not to be a Slytherin student." Kate raised an eyebrow.

Hermione, who was talking to her roommates on the side, suddenly seemed to think of something, and her originally decent mood sank instantly. Before Harry could ask who she had brought, he saw an Asian face walking toward them from a distance.

What kind of girl was that?

Harry thought she was probably a girl one grade higher than him. Her still somewhat childish face carried a slight flush from recent exercise, looking exceptionally healthy and beautiful. As he watched this girl walk toward him, he couldn't help but want to take a step forward and say hello.

"Hi!" The girl raised her hand, her eyes shining as bright as stars, and waved at him.

Harry felt a strange throbbing in his heart. He couldn't wait to step forward, but before the "Hi" could leave his mouth, he saw the girl walk intimately toward Kate beside him. The hand he had raised halfway stopped awkwardly in the air. Harry pretended to scratch his hair, watching the girl share an affectionate hug with Kate.

Somehow, he suddenly felt the temperature around him drop a bit, and he looked at Hermione beside him with some confusion. He saw Hermione surrounded by two roommates, yet she was staring wordlessly at those two people.

"This is..." He subconsciously straightened his wizard robes.

Kate naturally linked arms with Cho Chang. "This is the person I invited to look in the mirror together. She is Cho Chang, Ravenclaw, second year."

"Sorry I'm late, there was something going on with the Quidditch team." Cho Chang tilted her head and smiled at Kate. "By the way, regarding the gift you sent me, many people on our team are fighting to borrow it."

Confirmed. As the heir of a major family, the gifts sent out naturally couldn't be cheap. In this magical world with its simple prices, expensive items always had their benefits.

"That won't do," Kate raised her head high, teasing, "The thing I gave you, of course, can only be used by you alone."

"Of course!" Cho Chang responded with a brilliant smile. "I can't even bear to use it myself yet."

The two conversed as if no one else was around; Harry didn't even have time to interject. He had indeed heard that the Ravenclaw Quidditch team had recruited a new female Seeker, but they hadn't met on the pitch before this.

"Um, I'm also on the Quidditch..."

Just as he wanted to seize the chance to interrupt, Ron pointed to the abandoned classroom not far away. "The mirror is inside there!"

Everyone cheered and couldn't wait to go in together, especially the Weasley twins, who excitedly dragged their unlucky brother inside. Ron yelled in anger but could do nothing about it.

Leaving Harry stopping at the door, somewhat hesitant, watching Cho Chang and Kate walk in intimately together, then looking at Hermione and the others behind them.

"What's wrong with you?" He keenly perceived that Hermione's expression wasn't quite right.

"It's nothing..." Hermione just shook her head. "Nothing, let's hurry in."

Harry nodded. As soon as he entered the classroom, he saw a group of people already laughing and lining up in front of the mirror. The Weasley twins had just let go of their little brother and began to look in the mirror one by one.

"George, I see that we've developed many inventions together and become the premier inventors in the magical world!"

"I also saw that we opened a joke shop! Fred, sure enough, we think exactly the same!"

The two brothers walked away playfully. The next one was Neville. "Me! I see that my Herbology grade got an O!"

Neville at this time was surprisingly simple, only thinking about his studies. Kate stood behind them, smiling helplessly, then said to Cho Chang beside her, "Want to go take a look?"

"I estimate I should see myself winning the Quidditch Championship, or becoming a female Prefect." Cho Chang smiled indifferently and lined up behind Lavender.

When it was her turn, she walked over gracefully and stood in front of the mirror. The illusions shown by the mirror could only be known by the person themselves. They saw Cho Chang's originally natural expression stiffen slightly, and they began to jeer and ask her.

"How is it? What did you see?"

Cho Chang came back to her senses, subconsciously looking back at Kate. "I saw that I won the Quidditch Championship, and... I became first in the year."

"Good thing you aren't in first year, otherwise with Kate and Hermione here, that wish is basically impossible to achieve," Ron whispered a complaint from the side.

Cho Chang laughed momentarily. "Indeed, then I really am lucky."

"Then only Kate and Hermione are left." Harry clapped his hands and began to urge them. "Which of you wants to go first?"

Kate naturally knew the ambition in her own heart, so she turned her body aside and blinked at Hermione. "You go quickly."

"...Mn." Hermione nodded hesitantly, strolled to the front of the mirror, took a deep breath, and looked up at herself in the mirror.

She saw herself in the mirror holding a report card with full marks in all subjects, along with a graduation certificate, excitedly pouring out her joy to Kate beside her.

Ah... sure enough, is it about the same as she imagined?

Hermione secretly breathed a sigh of relief, but soon, her expression changed slightly. Because the version of her in the mirror stood on tiptoes and took the initiative to kiss Kate.

Although it was just a kiss on the cheek, but... she had never thought before that she would be intimate with Kate to this degree.

She suddenly took a step back, looking somewhat flustered at Kate behind her, seeing Kate's face full of surprise as she asked what she had seen.

"I..." She opened her mouth hesitantly. "I saw that I got full marks in all subjects and was the most outstanding graduate of Hogwarts for that year."

Kate nodded thoughtfully; this fit her expectations. However, before she could speak, she was pushed in front of the mirror by Ron, Harry, and the Weasley twins all at once.

Unsurprisingly, she saw Dumbledore behind her, Hermione beside her, and a vast crowd of people kneeling in front of her. Compared to these students whose hearts were still considered pure, was the dream in her heart a bit too evil?

Oh wait, these are just Gryffindors and Ravenclaws. Swap a Slytherin in here, and who knows what kind of chaotic scene they might see.

"I saw myself graduating smoothly with Hermione." She turned around and lied calmly.

As soon as her voice fell, she saw Hermione's gaze, which had been fixed on her, instantly brighten.

"Really?" She ran excitedly to Kate's side, grabbing her sleeve to ask, "You really saw yourself together with me?"

Kate looked baffled. "Is there a problem?"

"No! Absolutely not!" Hermione laughed out loud, her whole person looking much more radiant. She pursed her lips. "Since everyone has finished looking in the mirror, we'd better hurry back. There are still classes this afternoon."

"Neville was the first to speak up. "Ravenclaw also has classes," Cho Chang nodded.

Coincidentally, only Slytherin had no classes.

Kate instantly became happy and raised her eyebrows. "Then you guys go first. I'll stay behind to clean up the traces, to avoid being discovered."

Although coming over so undisguisedly meant someone definitely already knew. However, she wasn't wrong; the lions and the little eagle didn't force it. They left the classroom and scattered.

Only after watching them all walk far away did Kate clear her throat and speak to the empty classroom: "Professor, they have already left."

Dumbledore walked out from behind a pillar in the classroom. "It seems Harry is a child with a sharing spirit."

You waited quite a while, didn't you? Thank you for your trouble, old man.

Kate held back her laughter and didn't expose him. In the original works, Harry couldn't endure the thought of wanting to see his parents, so he would go to watch every night, only to be caught red-handed by Old Man Dumbledore guarding the place, and then given a life education lesson.

From the moment she entered this classroom, Kate had already discovered the surveillance-type spells set up within. With a massive influx of little wizards into the room with the magic mirror, she didn't believe Dumbledore wouldn't Apparate over to check.

Thus, in order to not let this legendary wizard wait behind there for too long, Kate kindly evacuated the others.

"I think he will come again tonight," she hinted euphemistically.

The Life Education Little Classroom could continue tonight. Kate expressed that she was really trying hard to endure not laughing out loud.
