The wind at the Lookout always carried a faint chill.
Kami's wrinkled old face twisted like a bitter melon, and his knuckles turned white as he gripped his staff tightly.
Just moments ago, as he was about to take Goku's body away,
Krillin suddenly appeared using that unsettling teleportation and made a request that nearly sent his blood pressure through the roof.
"You mean you want to go to the Other World with your physical body?"
Kami's voice trembled. This was simply unheard of.
"Krillin, the Other World is the final destination of the dead. The life force of a living person is too strong.
Setting aside whether the rules allow it, the erosion from that environment alone would already be dangerous."
"Don't look at me like that," Krillin casually toyed with the gravity bracelet on his wrist, looking completely indifferent.
"You know as well as I do that I can beat up aliens in a vacuum. The environment of the Other World is no different from a walk in the backyard to me."
Kami was speechless.
This guy really was a freak.
He had witnessed the battle earlier. That Saiyan named Raditz was absurdly strong, yet Krillin had swatted him like a fly.
Even more terrifying was Krillin's trait called Starry Sky Adapter, which allowed him to maintain stable life signs in any extreme environment.
"But King Yemma..." Kami was still worried.
King Yemma governed life and death, and his temper was notoriously explosive.
If he found out Kami had helped a living person sneak through the back door, Kami's own divine position might be at risk.
"Don't worry, I have a way to deal with that big guy," Krillin patted Kami on the shoulder with such force that he nearly knocked the old deity apart
"Let's go. Don't keep Goku waiting. If we're late, that guy might get lost looking for food on Snake Way."
Kami sighed and resigned himself to fate.
He grabbed Krillin's shoulder. Without even needing an incantation, Krillin gripped him back.
Their figures distorted briefly before they vanished from the Lookout and reappeared in the Other World, right in front of King Yemma's Palace.
The sky here was eternally a dull, murky yellow.
Countless cloud-like souls stood in long lines waiting for judgment like passengers at airport security.
At the very front of the line, behind a massive mahogany desk, sat a giant as imposing as a mountain.
King Yemma.
He wore a sharp suit, with two pointed bull horns growing from his head. His purplish-red skin gleamed under the lights.
He was holding a giant stamp and slamming it down on documents like a pile driver.
"To Heaven." "To Hell." Each strike was accompanied by a thunderous boom.
"Yo! Goku!"
As soon as Krillin arrived, he saw the orange-clad figure with a halo above his head standing next to the desk and looking around in confusion.
Goku turned at the sound, his eyes lighting up instantly, his simple face full of pleasant surprise.
"Krillin! You died too? That's great! I thought I was all alone here. That horned uncle just now was really scary."
Hearing this, Kami broke into a cold sweat and desperately wanted to cover Goku's mouth.
"I'm not dead. I came to accompany you on a tour," Krillin walked over with a smile and sized Goku up.
The halo on his head looked quite unique, like a glowing fluorescent ring.
"Not dead?" Goku scratched his head.
Clearly, this complicated logic exceeded his processing ability, but he quickly gave up thinking about it and asked excitedly.
"By the way, Krillin, how are Gohan and Trunks? And what about Piccolo?"
"Don't worry. Piccolo might look grumpy, but he's tough as nails."
Krillin thought about Trunks' eager expression before they left, and a slight smile appeared on his face.
"Trunks and Gohan were taken by him for special training. When you're resurrected in a year, you'll see two remarkable little warriors."
"Really? That's awesome!" Goku nearly jumped for joy, but soon became discouraged again.
"But that guy Raditz said even stronger Saiyans will come in a year. I'm afraid I won't be able to keep up."
"That's why I'm taking you to see King Kai," Krillin pointed ahead.
At that moment, a terrifying pressure suddenly enveloped the three of them.
King Yemma put down his documents. His bell-like eyes stared directly at Krillin as two visible streams of white steam burst from his nostrils.
The temperature in the entire hall seemed to drop instantly, and the souls waiting in line trembled in fear.
"Kami!" King Yemma's voice boomed like thunder, making Kami's eardrums ache.
"As the god of Earth, do you not know the rules? It's one thing to bring the dead here, but why is there a living person? Do you think this place is a wet market?"
Kami's legs went weak and he nearly knelt as he stammered an explanation.
"K-King Yemma, this is for the future of Earth. This young man possesses extraordinary strength..."
"I don't care about the future!" King Yemma slammed the table, sending the Ledger of the Living and the Dead flying half a meter into the air.
"Rules are rules. Living people return to the world of the living immediately. Otherwise, don't blame me for throwing you into a vat of oil in Hell and frying you like tempura."
The aura was overwhelming. He truly was the ruler who governed both the living and the dead.
Krillin, however, didn't panic at all.
He stepped forward and shielded the trembling Kami, wearing a professional fake smile that made even King Yemma want to punch him.
"King Yemma, calm down. Working too hard makes people irritable."
As Krillin spoke, he flicked his wrist and produced a beautifully packaged photo album from his System space.
On the cover, several blonde women in skimpy swimsuits were running along a sunlit beach.
The image quality was crystal clear, and every water droplet was visible.
This was the latest Hot Beaches: Limited Collector's Edition published in West City by a magazine under Bulma's company. Only one batch existed in the entire universe.
"This is a small local souvenir I brought for you. I heard you're busy every day and might need something to help you relax once in a while."
Krillin discreetly pushed the album toward the giant palm.
King Yemma's eyes, which had been wide with rage, instantly froze the moment they landed on the cover.
The air suddenly went silent for three seconds.
King Yemma's purplish-red face immediately flushed darker.
He looked around guiltily, then with unbelievable speed, his massive palm swept the album into a drawer.
The movement was so smooth it was breathtaking.
King Yemma cleared his throat.
The murderous aura from before vanished instantly, replaced by the kindness of an elder looking at a junior.
"Hmm... since this is for the peace of Earth, some rules aren't completely inflexible. After all, special circumstances require special handling."
Kami stood at the side completely stunned, his jaw nearly hitting the floor.
This was the impartial King Yemma? Solved with just one swimsuit magazine?
"Er... Kami, you've done well. You know how to scout talent," King Yemma praised him solemnly, though his eyes kept drifting toward the drawer.
"In that case, I'll make an exception and allow you to pass. However, Snake Way is long. If you fall off, there's no coming back."
"Thank you, King Yemma," Krillin smiled and cupped his hands respectfully.
"Go on, go on."
King Yemma waved them away impatiently. He was clearly eager to start relaxing.
The three of them walked out of King Yemma's Palace, with Kami still questioning reality.
Krillin took the opportunity to open his System panel and glance at his data.

"It seems bribing King Yemma counts as defeating a powerful enemy. The fusion progressed by 0.5%," Krillin was in a great mood.
"Krillin, was there something delicious in that book? That uncle seemed to really like it," Goku leaned closer curiously.
Krillin looked pityingly at this martial arts fanatic who understood nothing about adult life.
"That is spiritual food for adults. You'll understand when you grow up. Let's go. Snake Way is waiting for us."
Ahead of them, a winding yellow stone path stretched endlessly above a vast sea of clouds and disappeared into the horizon.
