Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: dream paradise

Chapter 5: dream paradise

The Dream Divine Kingdom built by Uchiha Tenmei is externally known as dream paradise, disguised as a game where no God of Dreams appears.

After all, the Ninja World still has deities like the Evil God and the Shinigami; in the eyes of powerful Ninjas, gods are not invincible—gods can die too.

Powerful Ninjas are even bestowed with the titles of gods.

For example, the God of Shinobi Senju Hashirama, and the Demigod Hanzou.

Limited by the current capacity of dream paradise, the first batch of players selected for dream paradise are neither Ninjas nor Civilians, but Ninja Academy students who fall somewhere in between.

To be precise, it is the entire second-year class of the Konoha Village Ninja Academy.

Within the Ninja Academy, Uchiha Tenmei silently placed marks on all the second-year students.

As long as these people are in a sleeping state, Uchiha Tenmei can pull their soul projections into dream paradise at a very small cost.

Because the first batch of players chosen are Ninja Academy students, the first scene in dream paradise is an Arena.

In the Arena, players can engage in combat without any scruples to increase their practical combat experience; even if they die, it will not harm their soul's origin.

To prevent soul projections from dying in dream paradise and causing players to wake up as if from a nightmare, Uchiha Tenmei lowered the pain perception of injury and death for the players.

Increasing combat experience in dream paradise is highly attractive to Ninja Academy students. After all, when sparring at school, the teachers are usually only Chunin and might not be able to stop students in time during a fight.

While students might not die in spars, getting injured is very common. Even with medical Ninjas using Medical Ninjutsu for treatment to allow for quick recovery, students still don't want to get hurt, as it can affect their schooling to some extent.

More importantly, they cannot use their full strength.

In dream paradise, there's no need to worry about such things, allowing them to effectively increase their combat experience.

However, Uchiha Tenmei felt that just increasing combat experience wasn't attractive enough to ensure players entered dream paradise every day and spent all their spiritual energy there.

Thus, dream coins were introduced as a currency that could be traded within dream paradise.

dream coins are equivalent to spiritual energy; using dream coins can directly enhance a player's power.

Before the official open beta of dream paradise, Uchiha Tenmei conducted several closed tests, pulling a few ordinary people from Konoha Village into dream paradise to observe the spiritual energy consumption of ordinary people's activities there.

Ultimately, Uchiha Tenmei set a standard: an ordinary adult with full spiritual energy (over 95%) active in dream paradise until only 5% spiritual energy remained before leaving; the 90% spiritual energy consumed by this ordinary adult in dream paradise would be one unit.

A player's spiritual energy cannot be completely exhausted, as total exhaustion would cause damage to the soul's origin; hence, the setting is to leave dream paradise once spiritual energy drops to 5%.

One unit of spiritual energy is 1 dream coin.

As for the name of the spiritual energy unit, Uchiha Tenmei came up with it himself. Unable to think of a better name, he thought of Kakashi being used as a unit for Chakra, so he named one unit of spiritual energy 'One Ka' of spiritual energy.

That is, one Ka of spiritual energy equals 1 dream coin.

When an ordinary adult with full spirits enters dream paradise and exhausts all 100% of their available energy (actually leaving 5% spiritual energy) before departing, this ordinary adult contributes a total of 100 dream coins.

Of these dream coins, Uchiha Tenmei takes half for his own use, 20% are given directly to the player, 20% are rewarded to all players through various means, and the remaining 10% cover the loss of spiritual energy absorption and the maintenance of dream paradise's operations.

The 20% of dream coins given to the player are rewarded based on the player consuming a certain amount of energy.

An ordinary adult consuming 1% energy is rewarded with 1 dream coin.

Consuming up to 30% energy rewards 3 dream coins.

Consuming up to 60% energy rewards 6 dream coins.

Consuming up to 100% energy rewards 10 dream coins.

A total reward of 20 dream coins; this is actually the base guarantee.

The other 20% of rewarded dream coins depend on luck; in cases of extreme bad luck, one might get nothing, while with good luck, one could get hundreds or even thousands of dream coins at once.

Normally, the stronger a player's soul, the more dream coins they obtain daily; the weaker the soul, the fewer dream coins they obtain.

Students from Civilian backgrounds who have just entered the Ninja Academy obtain fewer dream coinsdaily than an ordinary adult because they haven't practiced cultivation beforehand.

However, as Ninja Academy students begin their cultivation, even before graduating, their soul power will exceed that of an ordinary adult, thereby allowing them to obtain more dream coins in dream paradise.

Uchiha Tenmei also added a level system and an attribute system to dream paradise.

In the level system, levels 0 to 9 are Tier 0, 10 to 19 are Tier 1, 20 to 29 are Tier 2... 90 to 99 are Tier 9, and level 100 and above is Tier 10.

To some extent, Tier 0 can be seen as Civilians, Tier 1 as Ninja Academy students, Tier 2 as Genin, Tier 3 as Chunin, Tier 4 as Special Jonin, Tier 5 as ordinary Jonin, Tier 6 as Elite Jōnin, Tier 7 as Kage, Tier 8 as Super Kage, Tier 9 as Six Paths, and Tier 10 as God.

This is named according to strength.

Following the level system is the attribute system.

There are three types of attributes: Soul, Body, and Essence.

Soul is the soul, Body is the constitution, and Essence is Chakra.

The Naruto World uses 'Essence' to refer to Chakra; Uchiha Tenmei actually preferred to use 'Qi' to refer to Chakra.

A Level 0 player has Soul 0, Body 0, and Essence 0—like an unborn fetus.

The Soul attribute value serves as the player's actual level.

It should be noted that players cannot specialize in just one attribute.

A powerful soul requires a powerful body as a vessel, and powerful Chakra also requires a powerful body as a vessel.

Powerful Chakra also requires a powerful soul for control, and a powerful body likewise requires a powerful soul to control it.

If one attribute exceeds the other two by too much, the actual power of that attribute cannot be fully utilized.

Might Guy possesses a powerful body, and his soul and Chakra are not weak either; it's just that he doesn't release many Ninjutsu.

Uchiha Tenmei himself, having transmigrated his soul, has a Soul attribute value that significantly exceeds his Body and Essence, yet he cannot exert the actual power of his Soul attribute at all and is currently in a weakened state.

In dream paradise, players can directly consume dream coins to add points to themselves, improving their physical attributes in the real world; the attributes of the soul projection will change accordingly.

In addition to these, Uchiha Tenmei also added a shop to dream paradise, which sells various bloodlines, Bloodline Limits, pills and potions, weapons, and so on.

This is the power of turning the illusory into reality brought by the dream godhead, a power close to creation.

The cost to create things that already exist in the Naruto Universe is relatively small, but the cost to create things that do not exist in the Naruto Universe increases significantly.
