King Kai's pupils shrank as he was struck by a wave of pure terror. His face flushed red and then turned pale in rapid succession. No wonder Broly had lost. It wasn't Vegeta who had defeated him—it was Lord Beerus himself.
This is bad!
Goku was heading to the Sacred World of the Kai! That meant the person Goku was about to challenge was Lord Beerus, not Vegeta. This was a disaster! No matter how strong Goku was, there was no way he could be a match for Lord Beerus.
King Kai felt a cold shiver run down his spine. He immediately began searching for any trace of Goku. He had to stop him from challenging Lord Beerus! If he didn't, Goku was going to get himself killed in the most systematic way possible.
A Remote Planet...
Goku appeared at the Supreme Kai's side via Instant Transmission.
"Goku?" the Supreme Kai blinked in surprise.
"Ah... Lord Supreme Kai! Could you do me a favor and send me to the Sacred World of the Kai? I want to have a good match with Vegeta," Goku said, rubbing his hands together with an eager expression.
Supreme Kai: "????"
Kibito: "????"
Old Kai also looked completely bewildered. What Vegeta? Where is this Vegeta you speak of? Are you planning to have a match with a Vegeta who's currently unconscious? Isn't that just bullying? Can we please stop picking on poor Vegeta? Doesn't the man have any dignity left?
The Sacred World of the Kai...
"Whis, heal Broly. And while you're at it, ask him where that other Saiyan went," Beerus ordered.
"Of course, Lord Beerus," Whis nodded. He gave his scepter a casual wave toward Broly, and a wave of invisible Angel power quickly washed over him.
Broly rubbed his head as consciousness returned. Suddenly realizing something, he snapped his eyes open and whipped his head around to look at Beerus. When he saw the God of Destruction's face, he was genuinely spooked. His energy flared up instinctively.
CRACKLE! CRACKLE!
Bolts of dark green lightning danced around Broly's body, hissing with power. He immediately entered his strongest form—the Legendary Super Saiyan 2.
This dog is terrifying! I'm completely outmatched! But I'm not going to just sit here and wait for the end!
Beerus looked at Broly with a calm expression, not moving an inch. Broly bared his teeth, but he didn't dare to make a move. Aside from Son Goku, Beerus was the only person who had ever made Broly feel this intimidated.
"Do you want to keep going?" Beerus asked with a playful smile. "Do you really think you can beat me?"
Broly said nothing, his fists clenched tight. He didn't dare to lower his guard for even a second.
"I have a question for you, and I expect an honest answer," Beerus said, a teasing smirk on his face. "Wasn't there another Saiyan on this planet? Where is he?"
Broly blinked, then looked around. He quickly spotted Vegeta lying on the ground. He pointed a finger toward him. What's wrong with your eyes? That Saiyan is right there. Can't you see him? I just finished beating him to a pulp a moment ago.
Beerus's face darkened, and two puffs of white smoke erupted from his nostrils in frustration. Do I look like I'm talking about Vegeta?
"Not him! The other one! I know there are three Saiyans here in total!" Beerus snapped, glaring at Broly. "Where did that one go?"
"You mean Son Goku?" Broly asked, scratching his head as he finally understood.
"His name doesn't matter to me, but yes, that's likely the one," Beerus nodded.
"I don't know," Broly said bluntly, shaking his head.
Beerus: "..."
His face turned even darker. You go through all that build-up just to tell me you don't know?
"Where does he usually hang out?" Beerus asked, suppressing his irritation.
"That, I know," Broly replied.
Beerus looked expectant.
"But I'm not going to tell you," Broly added.
Beerus was instantly fuming. This kid is annoying enough when he's silent, but he's even worse when he talks! Should I just erase him right now?
"Fine. You've officially pushed my buttons," Beerus said, his eyes narrowing as a thick wave of killing intent radiated from him.
Broly felt a twinge of fear, but he still dropped into a fighting stance, ready for the next round.
Goku was just about to ask the Supreme Kai to send him to the Sacred World of the Kai when he suddenly sensed Broly's massive energy signature.
"Oh? Broly's awake already?" Goku blinked. Without a moment's hesitation, he used Instant Transmission and vanished.
The Supreme Kai froze. By the time he reacted, it was too late. Kibito stood there in a daze, while Old Kai remained silent.
"This is bad! Is Goku going to the Sacred World of the Kai to challenge Lord Beerus?" the Supreme Kai cried out, his face turning pale. Didn't he see how badly Broly was beaten? Goku, why are you rushing into this?
"This is indeed a dire situation," Old Kai sighed, pacing back and forth. "To this day, no one has ever been able to defeat a God of Destruction."
"I've certainly seen the extent of Lord Beerus's power today," the Supreme Kai said, nodding fervently. He felt his ancestor was absolutely right.
"I've heard that Lord Beerus is the strongest among all the Gods of Destruction," Old Kai added quietly.
"What? Lord Beerus is the strongest of them all?" the Supreme Kai was genuinely shocked.
"That's not the point right now. The point is that Goku is in serious danger," Old Kai's expression grew even more somber.
"He's right! Broly only survived because he was lucky, or because Lord Beerus didn't feel like killing him," Kibito said grimly. "If Goku goes over there and manages to truly enrage him, it's all over."
"Kibito is right," the Supreme Kai agreed. He looked at Old Kai helplessly. "Ancestor, what do we do now?"
"We watch and see," Old Kai replied after a moment's thought.
Supreme Kai: "..."
That's your plan? 'Watch and see'? It feels like you're just here for the show! Aren't you worried Goku might actually get erased?

Just as Beerus was reaching the peak of his anger and preparing to erase Broly...

Son Goku appeared on the scene via Instant Transmission. Seeing Goku arrive, Broly felt a surge of gratitude. I didn't sell you out, and yet you came anyway. You're a real friend!
However, Broly was still uneasy. He began frantically signaling Goku with his eyes. Goku scratched his head, completely failing to understand what Broly was trying to tell him. But then, he noticed Beerus standing beside him, and his expression turned blank for a moment.
"Oh? You're not Vegeta!" Goku said. He looked around and quickly spotted the unconscious Vegeta and Fat Buu. He also noticed a tall, blue-skinned figure standing nearby, leaning on a staff.
"So, you're Son Goku?" Beerus said with a slight smirk, his interest piqued.
"Hello! I'm Goku," he greeted warmly.
Beerus: "..."
Beerus had been furious, but Goku's friendly greeting caused most of his anger to evaporate instantly. There's something very unusual about this man's aura...
"I see. You're much more polite than that Broly kid," Beerus said, clearly pleased with Goku's attitude. He even offered a rare word of praise.
"Are you Lord Beerus?" Goku asked, his voice filled with excitement and anticipation. His expression grew more serious as he spoke. At that moment, it all clicked for him. It wasn't Vegeta who had defeated Broly—it was this man, Beerus. And here I was wondering what kind of new form Vegeta had achieved.
"You know who I am?" Beerus asked, slightly surprised.
"I've heard of you, but I've never seen you before," Goku answered honestly.
"Then you probably know why I'm here," Beerus said with a smile.
"Lord Beerus means..." Goku had no idea what his purpose was.
"I heard there were some very strong Saiyans here, so I came to have a little fun," Beerus chuckled, pointing at Broly. "That Broly fellow has already been defeated. Now it's your turn. Are you ready?"
"So Lord Beerus came here to spar with us!" Goku's expression tightened, followed by a look of pure excitement. "Alright, I understand! Actually, I've been wanting to spar with you too, Lord Beerus!"
"Oh? Is that so? Then come. Let me see what you've got," Beerus said, beckoning him forward.
"Alright then," Goku said, taking a deep breath.
Broly stepped forward as well, standing beside Goku. "Beerus?" Broly asked, turning to Goku. "He's Beerus?"
"He's the God of Destruction, Lord Beerus, the one Old Kai told us about," Goku explained in a low voice.
"Didn't Old Kai say Lord Beerus was a cat? Why does he look like a dog?" Broly asked.
"Well... I'm not sure," Goku scratched his head. He had never seen a cat like this before, but he wasn't particularly interested in animal types. Whether the opponent looked like a cat or a dog didn't matter to him at all.
Beerus's face darkened again. Even though Broly was whispering, Beerus was a god; his hearing was incredibly sharp.
"Kid, I'm a cat! Not a dog!" Beerus snapped, emphasizing every word. He then turned to Whis. "Whis, you tell them!"
"Of course, Lord Beerus," Whis nodded. He used his scepter to project a holographic image from the crystal ball. The image showed a Cornish Rex cat.
"This is a cat-person from Planet Cornish Rex. Lord Beerus grew up on that planet. Hundreds of millions of years ago, he was its king and the strongest person in our Seventh Universe," Whis explained with a smile. "Later, he became the God of Destruction for Universe 7."
Goku studied the projection carefully and nodded thoughtfully.
"Uh..." Broly scratched his head and nodded along. So he really is a cat. I thought he was a dog.
"And I was almost going to say he looked like a rabbit," Broly added in a low voice to Goku.
Beerus: "..."
His face turned even darker. This kid just keeps finding ways to piss me off. I'm definitely erasing him later.
"In any case, Lord Beerus must be the strongest god in our universe, right?" Goku said with a smile.
Hearing Goku's words, Beerus felt a bit better. At least this Son Goku fellow knows how to talk. He's much more eye-pleasing than Broly.
"Enough talk. Both of you, come at me together," Beerus said, beckoning to them both.
"I'd like to challenge Lord Beerus alone first! I want to see just how strong you really are!" Goku said, his fists clenching as his expression grew intensely serious.
"Oh? You want to challenge me alone? You've got guts!" Beerus nodded, almost wanting to give Goku a thumbs-up. "Very well. I'll play along!"
"Lord Beerus was able to defeat Broly easily, so I'll have to show you my true power!" Goku said. A massive surge of energy erupted from his body as he entered his Super Saiyan 5 transformation.
BOOM!
A vast, overwhelming aura radiated from Goku, sending out wave after wave of energy. Seeing this transformation, Beerus was slightly surprised. However, he quickly shook his head in disappointment. He could clearly sense that, in terms of raw energy, Goku's current form was still a far cry from Broly's Legendary Super Saiyan 2. Of course, it was much stronger than Vegeta.
"Is this the extent of your power? If so, you might as well give up now," Beerus said with a contemptuous smile.
"Not yet. This is Super Saiyan 5. I know it's nowhere near enough to face you, Lord Beerus," Goku said, preparing to transform again.
"Wait a second!" Beerus waved a hand. "What is 'Super Saiyan 5'?"
"Ah... it means this is the fifth transformation of a Super Saiyan," Goku explained.
Beerus: "..."
"Show me the first four," Beerus said, his interest suddenly piqued.
"Sure, I can show you," Goku agreed readily. He reverted to his base form and explained, "See, Lord Beerus? This is my normal state, my untransformed self."
Beerus nodded.
Flash!
A golden aura erupted around Goku as he entered the standard Super Saiyan form. "This is Super Saiyan, the most basic transformation."
"Keep going," Beerus said, nodding silently.
CRACKLE!
Golden lightning began to dance around Goku, and his hair stood even taller.
"This is Super Saiyan 2," Son Goku explained.
"It doesn't feel like much has changed compared to the last one," Beerus said with a slight smile.
"Next is Super Saiyan 3!" Son Goku didn't waste any time. Energy erupted from his body, and his hair began to grow, quickly cascading down past his waist.
CRACKLE... CRACKLE... CRACKLE...
Dense golden lightning swirled around Son Goku, crackling like frying beans.
Seeing this transformation, Beerus let out a series of impressed clicks, his interest suddenly piqued. "Not bad. This transformation actually has a bit of flavor to it! Keep going!"
"And then!" Son Goku dispelled the golden light around him. With a sudden shift, he entered his Super Saiyan 4 transformation.
"Oh? I thought your hair would just keep getting longer. I didn't expect a complete change in appearance," Beerus remarked, stroking his chin as he studied Son Goku's new form from head to toe.
"This is Super Saiyan 4. Simply put, it's a change in appearance based on the Great Ape form," Son Goku answered honestly.
"Great Ape? Ah, I remember you Saiyans can turn into giant apes! That makes sense," Beerus nodded thoughtfully.
"My Super Saiyan 4 transformation is actually quite similar to Broly's Super Saiyan form," Son Goku added. He turned to Broly and said, "Broly, show Lord Beerus your Super Saiyan form."
"Okay," Broly nodded, immediately transforming into a Super Saiyan.
However, Broly's Super Saiyan transformation was achieved by utilizing the power of the Great Ape.
Beerus looked at Son Goku, then at Broly, and quickly caught on.
"So, even though this kid hasn't turned into a giant ape, he's using the power of one. Is that it?" Beerus asked with a smile.
"Yes," Son Goku nodded.
"Keep going, keep going." Beerus was starting to find Son Goku very interesting.
Flash!
Son Goku's hair stood straight up, instantly turning silver-white as he entered his Super Saiyan 5 transformation.
"This is the Super Saiyan 5 transformation that Lord Beerus saw just a moment ago!" Son Goku explained with a smile.
"Hmm... this transformation looks like an evolved version of the Great Ape form," Beerus analyzed reasonably after a moment's thought.
"As expected of Lord Beerus," Son Goku nodded. "It is indeed an evolution of the Great Ape. As for why it evolved into this specific look, I'm not entirely sure."
"Oh my, Mr. Goku's current transformation actually taps into the Great Ape God from the ancient Saiyan era. It possesses incredibly vast energy," Whis suddenly interjected, providing the answer.
Son Goku looked at Whis, feeling a bit confused by what he heard.
"Whis, do you mean... it's that guy?" Beerus's pupils shrank slightly, a hint of shock appearing on his face.
"Yes, it's him," Whis nodded.
"No wonder!" Beerus realized. He then let out a scoff. "However, this kid has only tapped into a tiny fraction of that guy's power. If he had tapped into all of it, he'd be quite a handful to deal with."
"Who? Who are you talking about?" Son Goku asked curiously.
"Simoya!" Whis said the name.
Son Goku: "????"
Son Goku didn't recognize the name at all.
"Yes, that's right. It's him, Simoya!" Beerus nodded. He turned to Son Goku and said, "This man is your Saiyan ancestor. Millions of years ago, he competed against me for the position of God of Destruction!"
"What? Our Saiyan ancestor?" Son Goku was genuinely learning something new. "Simoya! What a strange name!"
"Simoya! Hmm..." Beerus's eyes suddenly lit up. He looked toward Whis again. "I remember now!"
Whis was slightly taken aback. "What did you remember, Lord Beerus?"
"The Super Saiyan God from my prophecy dream!" Beerus mused.
"Wasn't the Super Saiyan God from your prophecy dream Mr. Vegeta?" Whis asked.
"It wasn't Vegeta. It was a guy named Yamoshi!" Beerus's eyes sparkled as he tapped his head with a finger.
"Yamoshi? Isn't that just Simoya's name spelled backward?" Whis wiped his brow in silence.
"Exactly! It's this Yamoshi fellow, no doubt about it!" Beerus nodded with certainty.
"Who is Yamoshi?" Son Goku asked, looking lost and curious.
"What? You don't know him?" Beerus blinked, raising an eyebrow.
"Never heard of him," Son Goku shook his head.
"Whis, look him up," Beerus said, turning back to Whis.
Without hesitation, Whis used his scepter to search for a Saiyan named "Yamoshi."
Son Goku leaned in curiously, craning his neck to see.
But he couldn't see anything at all.
"No such person found," Whis said, shaking his head slightly.
"No such person?" Beerus felt a headache coming on.
"Perhaps the person Lord Beerus dreamed of exists in another time and space and doesn't belong to our era," Whis offered a reasonable analysis.
"Then let's forget about him for now." Beerus decided not to bother with this Yamoshi fellow anymore. He turned back to look directly at Son Goku. "Kid, you really are something else, actually tapping into a portion of Simoya's power through your transformation!"
"Uh... even though I don't know this Simoya person you're talking about, since you say I'm using his power, I should thank him!" As Son Goku spoke, his expression grew serious. He even cupped his hands and bowed toward the distance to show his deep gratitude.
Beerus: "..."
You don't need to be so formal about it.
"However, as I said before, even if the real Simoya were here, he wouldn't be a match for me—let alone you, who's just borrowing his power!" Beerus said with a slight smile. "He already lost to me in the God of Destruction selection tournament all those years ago!"
"Is that so? As expected of Lord Beerus. You're much more powerful than I imagined!" Son Goku felt more and more that the opponent before him was no ordinary foe.
No wonder Old Kai said that Lord Beerus was tens of thousands of times stronger than the Shadow Dragons.
Thinking about it now, that might actually be true.
I've trained so hard, and yet it seems Super Saiyan 5 might not even be a match for him.
"We can begin now. You can attack me whenever you're ready!" Beerus said with a smile, beckoning Son Goku forward.
"Ah... my transformation isn't finished yet," Son Goku said with a grin, looking a bit embarrassed.
Beerus's expression froze, a look of utter bewilderment crossing his face.
There was a brief silence.
"Are you saying... there's a Super Saiyan 6?" Beerus asked in surprise.
"I suppose you could call it that," Son Goku nodded slightly.
"It either is or it isn't. What do you mean, 'I suppose'?" Beerus's face darkened as he snapped irritably.
"Because my next transformation might be a bit of a mishmash," Son Goku said with a smile.
"Then transform and let me see it." Beerus's interest was instantly piqued.
After all, Beerus had already sensed that Son Goku's Super Saiyan 5 was weaker than Broly's Legendary Super Saiyan 2 in terms of raw energy.
With that level of power, he dared to challenge me, Beerus?
So he had another transformation up his sleeve.
"Alright, here I go!" Son Goku said, taking a deep breath. Suddenly, a thick, fiery aura erupted from his body.
The flames burned intensely, dyeing Son Goku's hair a fiery red.
The aura of a god began to radiate from Son Goku's body.
Beerus stood there in a daze, momentarily struck by a wave of shock.
"This... what kind of messy transformation is this?" Beerus's lip twitched slightly as he couldn't help but ask.
"This is the Super Saiyan God transformation activated on top of Super Saiyan 5. Actually, you could also call it Super Saiyan 6," Son Goku said, already dropping into a fighting stance.
Beerus: "..."
