Son Goku watched the surging aura of Broly, then turned his gaze toward the shocked Toppo, lost in thought.
"Hmph, the disciple of Universe 11's God of Destruction doesn't seem like anything special," Vegeta remarked, arms crossed over his chest. He spoke with an air of unshielded arrogance.
Son Goku stepped over to Vegeta's side, studying him intently with a searching look in his eyes.
"What is it, Kakarot?" Vegeta frowned, his tone carrying a hint of impatience. He clearly didn't appreciate being stared at like that.
"Vegeta, in our previous life, did we also come to Universe 11 to challenge them?" Son Goku asked in a low voice, careful not to be overheard.
"No," Vegeta shook his head, speaking the plain truth. "In the previous life, not long after the tournament with Universe 6 ended, Trunks arrived from the future and told us about Zamasu."
"Zamasu? Is that the North Kai from Universe 10?" Son Goku still had some memory of the name.
Though he had never met him, both Vegeta and Son Gohan had mentioned him. That fellow had turned Future Trunks' world completely upside down. Back then, if Gohan hadn't followed Trunks to the future, Trunks likely would have died there long ago. Not only that, but all the warriors of the future might have been wiped out by him.
"That's right," Vegeta nodded, his eyes darkening.
"By the way, will the Zamasu incident happen in our current era too?" Son Goku scratched his head, a trace of worry appearing on his face.
Vegeta remained silent, his brow furrowed tight.
How should I know? he thought. There are too many variables in the future.
"Back then, it was the Piccolo from the past who sealed Zamasu away, right? You have that little jar, don't you?" Son Goku asked again, seeking confirmation.
Vegeta gave a cold nod in response.
"You've kept that jar safe, right?" Son Goku pressed, his concern deepening.
"Hmph, of course," Vegeta grinned with a touch of confidence. "I've placed it in Lord Beerus's palace. It's perfectly safe."
Son Goku: "..."
"Then there shouldn't be any major problems," Son Goku murmured thoughtfully, trying to convince himself to relax.
"The sealed Zamasu indeed isn't a major problem; he can't cause any trouble," Vegeta said deeply, though his tone wasn't entirely certain. "But don't forget, that Zamasu isn't the Zamasu of our world. It's possible the Zamasu of our own world might still go rogue!"
At the thought of this, Vegeta felt a twinge of unease.
Mainly, it was because of the tournament with Universe 6...
Vegeta had single-handedly defeated all the contestants from Universe 6, stealing the spotlight entirely. If the Zamasu of this world wanted to swap bodies with someone, nine times out of ten, he would choose Vegeta.
...
The Future, Trunks' Parallel World.
The entirety of West City was a mess of ruins and broken walls. Weeds grew amidst the rubble of the deserted city, and the air was thick with the scent of death.
Trunks dodged and hid among the ruins, moving through the city like a hunting leopard. Every step was light and silent as he kept a wary eye on his surroundings.
After running for a distance, Trunks hurriedly glanced back. Confirming there were no pursuers, his expression grew even heavier, and his forehead was beaded with cold sweat.
However, just as he was about to continue forward...
Boom!
A powerful energy beam roared in from the distance, slamming into the ground at Trunks' feet like a falling star. The massive impact instantly sent Trunks flying backward.
Trunks' body was like a kite with a broken string. He crashed through a crumbling wall and landed heavily inside a room, kicking up a cloud of dust.
Trunks gritted his teeth, enduring the sharp pain as he scrambled up from the ground, a trace of blood leaking from the corner of his mouth.
But the moment Trunks stood up, several energy blasts fell rapidly from the sky, whistling sharply as they closed in.
Trunks was horrified. He lunged to the side, narrowly dodging the attack.
Rumble!
A series of explosions rang out, and the room was instantly leveled to the ground, sending stone fragments flying everywhere.
Trunks hid behind the corner of a broken wall, his right hand quickly gathering a ball of blue energy as his eyes warily scanned the area.
Boom!
Trunks thrust the energy ball forward with all his might.
But the energy missed its mark, striking distant ruins and triggering another explosion.
Trunks' expression grew even more grim, and the hand clutching his fist trembled slightly.
"What's the matter? My dear son, Trunks! Your attacks are a bit lacking, aren't they?"
Just then, a figure both familiar and strange suddenly appeared directly above Trunks' position. He hovered in mid-air, looking down with a gaze full of mockery.
This person's features were carved from the exact same mold as Vegeta's—the same coldness, the same pride.
However, the clothes he wore were extremely similar to Goku Black's, and a shimmering Potara earring hung from his left ear.
"You... you're not my father!" Trunks shouted angrily, his voice filled with unbelievable rage and pain.
"You should feel honored to be the son of a god!" Black Vegeta gave a contemptuous smile, his tone full of arrogance and disdain.
Trunks clenched his fists tight, the veins on his forehead bulging as his body shook with fury.
Trunks was also a bit lost right now.
Zamasu had already been eliminated by them. To be precise, he had been eliminated by Big Brother Gohan.
Why had another Zamasu suddenly appeared?
And this Zamasu had even swapped bodies with his father. Previously, it had been a swap with Mr. Son Goku, but now it had changed to his father.
"Zamasu, I know it's you! You're the North Kai of Universe 10, aren't you?" Trunks pointed at Black Vegeta and shouted, trying to expose his true identity.
"Oh? You already know who I am? And what of it?" Black Vegeta didn't panic at all, the contemptuous smile still on his face. "Even if you know my true identity, everyone in this world except for you has already been cleaned out by me."
Trunks shook with rage, his face pale to the extreme and his eyes reddening.
However, Trunks also felt a sense of utter speechlessness.
In this world, he was once again the only one left!
Also, why was Zamasu appearing again?
He remembered that Zamasu had been sealed in a small jar by Mr. Piccolo using the Evil Containment Wave. He had sent that jar to the past and given it to his father.
Had that Zamasu escaped again?
Trunks' thoughts were in a whirl, his mind a tangled mess.
"Hmph, you're thinking about how to escape, aren't you?" Black Vegeta smiled thinly, his eyes cold. "You won't be getting away this time."
"Solar Flare!"
Trunks suddenly placed both hands by his cheeks. A blinding light erupted from his head, illuminating the ruins like a miniature sun.
Caught off guard, Black Vegeta's eyes were instantly stung by the intense light. His world turned into a blur of white, and he instinctively closed his eyes.
Seizing the opportunity, Trunks turned without hesitation and fled at his top speed, his figure quickly vanishing into the depths of the ruins.
...
The Present.
Universe 11, Planet Belmod.
Vegeta's premonition had finally become a reality.
Just as Vegeta had guessed, the Zamasu of this world had watched the tournament between Universe 6 and Universe 7. Attracted by Vegeta's overwhelming strength, he had ultimately decided to swap bodies with him.
After swapping bodies with Vegeta, Zamasu had traveled through time and space to appear in Trunks' parallel world. With his immense power, Black Vegeta had gone on a killing spree in that world, slaying every warrior except for Trunks and turning the place into a wasteland of despair.
However, Vegeta knew nothing of what was happening in Trunks' future world. All of his attention was focused on the battle before him.
Currently, whether it was Vegeta, Son Goku, or Bardock and the others, they were all focused on enjoying the battle between Broly and Toppo, their eyes full of expectation.
Broly had already entered his Super Saiyan transformation. His golden fur shimmered in the sunlight, and he was surrounded by a roaring golden aura.
Toppo, on the other hand, had unleashed all of his energy. His aura swept out like a giant wave, his presence terrifying.
Both sides charged at each other almost simultaneously, the air seemingly sparking with the friction.
"You think changing your hair color is enough to defeat me? How naive!" Toppo gave a cold snort, his face full of absolute confidence. He clenched his fist and swung it at Broly with a piercing wind.
Boom!
In the next instant, Toppo's fist slammed heavily into Broly's face with a dull thud.
Broly took Toppo's attack squarely with his face. There wasn't a trace of pain on his features; instead, he gave a gruesome grin, revealing a row of white teeth.
Toppo was aghast, his pupils shrinking slightly.
Toppo hadn't expected Broly to be so tough that he could take a heavy punch with just his face.
But what shocked Toppo even more was yet to come.
Broly simply kept his face pressed against Toppo's fist as he slowly straightened his head, as if Toppo's attack meant absolutely nothing to him.
The shock on Toppo's face deepened, his eyes full of disbelief.
Broly's large hand shot forward like a bolt of lightning, pinning Toppo's head with such force that Toppo couldn't break free at all.
Immediately after, Broly gripped Toppo's head like he was holding a small chick and dove toward the ground, his speed increasing by the second.
"No... This is bad! Let go of me!" Toppo was horrified and couldn't help but cry out, his body struggling violently.
However, it was already too late.
Boom!
Accompanied by an earth-shattering explosion, Broly slammed Toppo's head directly into the ground of the God of Destruction's realm. The ground instantly caved in, forming a massive crater.
Then, Broly gripped Toppo's head and began a new round of grinding it against the earth. Toppo's body was dragged along the ground, making a piercing sound.
"Awoooo... Awoooo..."
Toppo let out a series of shrill screams, his voice full of pain and humiliation.
Broly felt it wasn't enough and increased the pressure in his hand, literally carving a long trench into the ground with Toppo's head.
This trench was at least ten thousand meters long and bottomless. It stood out starkly on the flat ground of the God of Destruction's realm, like an ugly scar.
Belmod shook with rage, his face turning ashen. He clenched his fists so tight his knuckles turned white, his eyes full of fury and resentment.
"Belmod, do you see the gap now? This disciple of yours is a bit lacking; he's a far cry from mine," Beerus laughed even more brilliantly, his tone full of boasting and triumph.
"Hmph, it's not over until the very end... the winner hasn't been decided yet. Don't get ahead of yourself!" Belmod snorted coldly, his words stubborn as he expressed his deep dissatisfaction.
"Then let's wait and see what other cards you have to play," Beerus smiled lightly, his eyes full of confidence.
"Hey, Marcarita, do you think Toppo has much of a chance of winning?" Belmod turned to Marcarita and asked in a low voice, a hint of expectation in his tone.
"Oh dear, oh dear..." Marcarita sighed slightly and shook her head. "I'm afraid the chance of victory is only 1%."
Belmod: "..."
Belmod's face turned black, the veins on his forehead bulging. He said irritably, "Where did this 1% come from? Why is it only that much?"
"Consider it a bit of comfort," Marcarita laughed so hard her flowers trembled, a hint of teasing in her eyes.
Belmod: "..."
You might as well not have comforted me at all.
Belmod felt a surge of madness in his heart.
"Contact Jiren immediately. Tell him to get over here right now, hurry!" Belmod's voice was low, his face growing increasingly grim as he barked the order to Marcarita through gritted teeth.
This was Belmod's last hope.
"Oh dear, oh dear... Mr. Jiren might not be willing to come for this kind of match. He's not interested in mere sparring," Marcarita said, shaking her head with a look of difficulty.
"Tell him that I'll find a way to resurrect his master, Gicchin, as long as he's willing to come and help," Belmod mused.
To save the face of Universe 11, Belmod didn't care about the cost anymore.
"Lord Belmod has found a way? Can you really resurrect Mr. Gicchin?" Marcarita was momentarily stunned, her eyes full of surprise.
"Not yet... just bluff him for now. We'll figure out a way later. Whatever it takes, we have to trick him into coming here," Belmod grinned, a flash of cunning in his eyes.
"Is that really appropriate? Deceiving Mr. Jiren might not be a good idea," Marcarita sighed softly, feeling that this wasn't quite right.
"Stop nagging! Do you think I have any other choice? Am I supposed to just stand here and watch Universe 11 be humiliated by them?" Belmod rolled his eyes, looking thoroughly displeased.
"Alright, I suppose that's the only way." Although Marcarita felt that Belmod's plan was a bit deceptive, the reputation of Universe 11 was at stake. With no other options, she could only nod in agreement.
Immediately, Marcarita stepped to the side and raised her staff, beginning to contact Jiren through it.
Soon, Jiren's deep and calm voice rang out from the staff.
"Hello, Mr. Jiren. I am Marcarita, the Guide Angel for Lord Belmod," Marcarita introduced herself respectfully.
"What is it?" Jiren asked calmly, his voice devoid of any emotion.
"Lord Belmod would like Mr. Jiren to come to the God of Destruction's realm to fight someone from Universe 7. This is a matter of Universe 11's reputation," Marcarita said with a smile, a hint of urgency in her tone. "Currently, Mr. Toppo is being ground into the dirt by someone from Universe 7. The probability of him losing is 99%."
"Universe 7?" Jiren was momentarily stunned, clearly surprised. He asked again, "Is it just a spar? Not some evil enemy?"
"It is indeed a spar, just a friendly match," Marcarita admitted with a nod.
"Is it not a battle for justice or something similar?" Jiren asked again, as this was his primary concern.
"No," Marcarita answered.
"My apologies, but I am not interested in such things. I have more important matters to attend to," Jiren refused decisively. "If an evil force appears in the universe that needs to be dealt with, I will go immediately without hesitation. But a sparring match like this has no meaning for me."
"Lord Belmod said that he will find a way to resurrect Mr. Gicchin, as long as you are willing to come and help," Marcarita finally revealed Belmod's condition.
"Lord Belmod can resurrect my master?" Jiren's expression shifted slightly, his tone carrying a hint of excitement and expectation that was hard to detect.
"He's still working on it... but Lord Belmod said it shouldn't be a major problem. As long as you come, he will certainly do his best," Marcarita smiled, trying to make her voice sound convincing.
Jiren grew even more tempted.
Resurrecting his master was Jiren's greatest wish. For this wish, Jiren was willing to do anything.
"Are they currently on Lord Belmod's planet?" Jiren asked hurriedly.
"Yes, we are all here waiting for you," Marcarita nodded gently.
"I'll be there immediately. It won't take more than 10 minutes; I happen to be handling some business nearby," Jiren mused.
"Alright, we'll wait for you to arrive." Marcarita smiled slightly and then ended the call.
Marcarita returned to Belmod's side and gave him a wink.
Belmod looked deeply at Marcarita, his eyes full of expectation as he hurriedly asked, "Well? Is Jiren willing to come?"
"Mr. Jiren said he can be here in about 10 minutes," Marcarita reported truthfully.
"Excellent!" Belmod took a deep breath, feeling much more confident. A long-awaited smile finally appeared on his face.
As long as Jiren came, he could definitely turn the situation around.
At that moment, Toppo had been ground down by Broly for a while. Broly then slammed a fist into his stomach, causing him to curl into a ball from the pain.
Immediately after, Broly grabbed Toppo by the fingers and yanked his body, slamming him back and forth, left and right, as if he were swinging a weightless object.
Toppo: "..."
Toppo broke down in tears right then and there, his tears flowing uncontrollably.
Don't grab my fingers to slam my body around!
My fingers are about to snap!
It hurts too much!
The reason Broly was grabbing Toppo's fingers was that Toppo's arms were too thick and muscular; Broly couldn't even get his hand around them.
After all, Toppo could be said to have "Kylin Arms"—his arms were even thicker than Broly's thighs. Although Broly's transformation had expanded his body, his hands still weren't as large as Toppo's arms, so he had to settle for grabbing his fingers.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
Broly's slamming of Toppo continued, each impact making the ground vibrate.
How could Toppo be a match for Broly?
In the original story, even Son Goku and Vegeta in their Super Saiyan Blue forms were left helpless and battered by Broly's Super Saiyan transformation. And Toppo's strength was, at most, roughly equal to Super Saiyan Blue—perhaps even a bit less.
Furthermore, the current Broly was much stronger than the one in the original work.
Well, he had been through Son Goku's "tough love" training.
Also, Broly hadn't even brought out his true strength yet; he still had his Legendary Super Saiyan form held in reserve. But to deal with the current Toppo, a regular Super Saiyan form was more than enough; there was no need to use his trump card.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
Toppo's screams rose and fell in a continuous, miserable wail that echoed over the God of Destruction's realm.
Wham!
Broly gave a casual toss, throwing Toppo high into the air. Toppo flew out like a rag doll.
Toppo's body traced an arc in the sky and slammed heavily into the earth, landing head-first with a dull thud and kicking up a cloud of dust.
However, immediately after, Toppo stood up in a fit of humiliated rage. He was covered in dust and looked battered, but his eyes were full of unwillingness and fury.
"Damn it! You've completely enraged me! I'll make you pay for this!" Toppo roared in anger, clenching his fists tight. His aura began to soar once more.
"Had enough?" Broly grinned, his tone carrying a hint of provocation.
"How could I possibly lose to you? I am a candidate for the God of Destruction of Universe 11! I absolutely cannot lose!" Toppo shook with rage. A purple-red flame suddenly erupted around him, brilliant and dazzling, as he entered his God of Destruction form. His presence was several times more powerful than before.
Broly was momentarily stunned, a flash of curiosity in his eyes. He was clearly interested in Toppo's new form.
Vegeta's pupils shrank slightly as he carefully observed Toppo's new state.
This guy's new form is a bit similar to my Ultra Ego!
However, in terms of energy intensity, there's still a huge gap between him and me.
I could easily crush him even in my Super Saiyan Blue form.
It looks like Broly is going to win.
After entering his God of Destruction form, Toppo's speed and power took a qualitative leap. He rushed toward Broly and launched a torrential rain of punches and kicks, each move carrying powerful Destruction energy.
Broly responded calmly, dodging Toppo's attacks without haste and occasionally reaching out to block. His movements seemed casual, yet they always precisely neutralized Toppo's offensive.
After several rounds of exchange, Broly found an opening and delivered a slap that landed squarely on Toppo's head. The blow sent Toppo staggering, his footsteps unsteady.
Splat!
Toppo nearly fell over, quickly reaching out with his right hand to prop himself up on the ground. His face was written with pain and disbelief.
"Do you want to continue? You're no match for me. Continuing will only be self-inflicted humiliation," Broly said, shaking his head gently with a flat tone.
