"Broly? Never heard of him. Is he strong?" Black Vegeta shook his head, a hint of contempt in his eyes. He clearly didn't take this unfamiliar name to heart.
"Hey, Black Broly, tell us your story. Let us hear about your experiences," Zamasu said with a smile to Black Broly, the corners of his mouth curling into a playful arc.
"There's not much to say," Black Broly replied in a flat tone, as if speaking of a trivial matter. "Originally, I also wanted to swap bodies with Son Goku. But after my investigation, I discovered there was a Saiyan with even better talent than Son Goku. That man is Broly!"
"So, in the end, you swapped bodies with Broly? A wise choice indeed," Black Goku said with a smile, a flash of approval in his eyes.
"Exactly," Black Broly nodded, his face expressionless and devoid of any unnecessary emotion.
"Now... all the top Saiyans are gathered, aren't they? What a perfect lineup!" Zamasu laughed, his smile growing even more brilliant. He crossed his arms over his chest, his eyes shimmering with excitement.
As Zamasu spoke, Black Vegeta nodded silently, inwardly agreeing. It seemed Zamasu was right; essentially, all the top-tier Saiyans had been assembled.
Black Goku, Black Vegeta, and Black Broly.
Just thinking about this lineup made one feel its overwhelming strength—it was enough to sweep through any universe.
"Not bad, right, my brothers? With us here, the elimination of humanity is just around the corner!" Zamasu patted Black Vegeta on the shoulder with considerable force, his tone full of confidence.
Black Vegeta also felt that Zamasu had done well and gave a slight nod. However, what Black Vegeta hadn't expected was that Zamasu would bring back several other "selves" from different timelines. This was a bit of a surprise.
"By the way... what happened to that Trunks fellow?" Black Vegeta suddenly changed the subject, asking curiously. "Was that a spaceship he took earlier? I can't sense his aura at all; it's like he vanished into thin air..."
"It wasn't a spaceship; it was a time machine," Black Goku spoke up, his tone certain.
"A time machine?" Black Vegeta was momentarily stunned, his brow furrowing slightly.
"It's a time machine created by a human woman. It can travel through time and space, moving freely between the past and the future," Black Goku answered, a flash of gravity in his eyes. "He's gone to another timeline to bring back reinforcements. If nothing goes wrong, Son Goku, Vegeta, and Trunks will all be back soon. When that happens, it will be another fierce battle."
"How do you know all this so clearly? Have you already experienced what's happening here?" Black Vegeta turned to look at Black Goku, his eyes full of doubt and inquiry.
"Yes," Black Goku nodded gravely, his tone heavy as if recalling unpleasant memories.
"I haven't had the chance to ask you yet... in your timeline, how did it end? Did you successfully eliminate all humans?" Zamasu asked impatiently, his eyes shining with curiosity.
"Everything was going smoothly... but the final outcome wasn't great," Black Goku lowered his head, his expression growing grimmer, his voice carrying a hint of bitterness.
"What do you mean? What exactly happened?" Zamasu and the others focused their gaze on Black Goku, their eyes full of urgency. They were beginning to feel that something was wrong.
The final outcome wasn't great? What kind of ending could it be?
"Son Goku and Vegeta went to my parallel world and fought me..." Black Goku mused, falling into memory. "To be precise, it was a battle between me and Vegeta. The first time, I was defeated by him and suffered severe injuries. Another 'me' treated me, and my strength increased significantly, allowing me to turn the tables and push them into a corner."
"And then? Were they eliminated by you?" Black Vegeta asked, leaning forward slightly, clearly interested in the subsequent developments.
"They took the time machine again and left my parallel world, narrowly escaping," Black Goku continued, his tone carrying a hint of unwillingness. "A day later, they returned. The battle between us began anew, even more intense than before!"
"Did you win or lose this time?" Black Vegeta pressed, his eyes locked onto Black Goku.
"Though I don't want to admit it... I did lose. I lost to Vegeta. His rate of improvement was simply too fast," Black Goku clenched his fists tight, his knuckles turning white and his expression growing even worse, his tone full of resentment and rage.
Black Vegeta remained silent, merely gesturing for Black Goku to continue. Since Black Goku was standing here, it proved that the final outcome must have been his victory; something must have changed in the middle.
"Out of desperation, I and the other 'me'—the Zamasu of that era—fused using the Potara earrings. Our strength increased massively, and we gave Vegeta a severe beating, leaving him with no way to fight back," Black Goku recalled, describing the situation at the time. "However, just as the dawn of victory seemed to belong to us, Vegeta and Son Goku actually fused using the Potara earrings as well! Their fused warrior's strength was beyond imagination!"
"What? Humans also fused using Potara earrings? Those are exclusive items for us Supreme Kais!" Black Vegeta raised an eyebrow, a hint of surprise on his face, clearly full of disdain.
"Hmph, even if humans fused using Potara earrings, they shouldn't have been a match for you, right? After all, you were the fused Zamasu; your strength should have been far above theirs," Black Broly asked in a low, booming voice, his tone carrying a hint of indifference.
"You're wrong," Black Goku sighed, baring his teeth with a pained expression. "At first, I thought so too. But their fusion was simply too strong. The fusion of me and Zamasu was no match for him at all! Fortunately, the Potara earrings couldn't withstand their immense energy, and their fusion dissolved after about a few minutes. Only then were we able to catch our breath."
"Regardless, they are humans with short lifespans and limited power. We are at least Apprentice Supreme Kais, with infinite life and potential..." Black Vegeta smiled, trying to ease the heavy atmosphere. "By the way, everyone here is an Apprentice Supreme Kai, right? Has anyone become a true Supreme Kai yet?"
Everyone shook their heads, indicating they were indeed all Apprentice Supreme Kais and hadn't had the chance to be promoted yet.
"I originally thought I had won. I just had to wait for them to defuse to easily eliminate them," Black Goku continued, his tone carrying a hint of lingering fear. "Next was the battle between me and Son Goku! But to my surprise, that Son Goku's strength was far beyond my imagination. He was simply ridiculously strong!"
"You... what did you say? You mean to say... even your fusion was no match for him? How is that possible?" Black Vegeta was aghast, his eyes wide, clearly unable to believe what he was hearing.
"It's the truth," Black Goku nodded, not denying it, his tone heavy.
After all, everyone here was a version of himself from different timelines. All Zamasus shared the same obsession and ideal: the elimination of all humanity. In their eyes, humans were the evil existence of this universe. The appearance of humans had caused severe damage to the planets and was the root of all disasters. Black Goku had nothing to hide; he told them everything he knew to prevent his alternate selves from following in his footsteps and repeating his mistakes.
"So, what happened later? How did you eliminate them? Did you find some way to deal with them?" Zamasu asked curiously, his eyes full of expectation.
"Fortunately, before that happened, I used the time machine from Universe 12 to search for a large number of my counterparts," Black Goku mused. "At that time, there were thousands of fused 'me's! We swarmed Son Goku and Vegeta together. No matter how strong they were, they couldn't withstand our human-wave tactics!"
Hearing Black Goku say this, Black Vegeta and the others were stunned, their faces written with disbelief. No one had expected Black Goku to pull off such a massive operation. Gathering thousands of fused versions of himself was simply unheard of.
"That's a good method. We can indeed use the same way to gather more comrades. When that time comes, even if all the humans in the universe join forces, they won't be our match!" Zamasu smiled, his interest piqued, his eyes shimmering with excitement. "Through the time machine of Universe 12, we can bring over more of ourselves from different points in time to form an invincible army!"
"No, you absolutely must not do that. That would be seeking your own death!" Black Goku shook his head gravely, his tone decisive, his face showing an expression of terror.
"Why? Isn't that a great method?" Black Broly asked curiously, his brow furrowed, not understanding why Black Goku would object.
"Because, in the end, Lord Zeno came," Black Goku said through gritted teeth, his voice trembling slightly, clearly filled with awe and terror toward Zeno.
"What? Lord Zeno!"
Zamasu, Black Vegeta, and Black Broly all cried out in shock. Their faces changed color instantly, their eyes filled with fear and disbelief, and their bodies involuntarily shuddered. Lord Zeno was the supreme ruler of the universe, possessing the power to erase everything; no one dared to provoke him lightly.
"With a wave of his hand, Lord Zeno erased the entire universe, including me and all my comrades, without leaving a single trace..." Black Goku let out a long sigh, cold sweat sliding down his forehead. Even now, the memory made his heart race, as if that terrifying scene had happened only yesterday.
The three of them fell silent, their eyes wide with bewerilderment, not daring to breathe loudly. They hadn't expected that, in the end, Lord Zeno would appear. This was the situation they least wanted to see.
"Wait, then how did you survive? If you were also erased by Lord Zeno, why are you standing here now?" Black Vegeta was the first to react, asking curiously, his eyes full of doubt.
"I also died. I completely vanished in that universe," Black Goku said in a low voice, his tone carrying a hint of weariness.
Black Broly, Zamasu, and Black Vegeta were all stunned, not quite understanding the meaning of his words. If he was dead, then who was the person standing before them?
"I did indeed die, but I was reborn. Perhaps it was the arrangement of fate," Black Goku laughed softly, his tone carrying a hint of relief.
The three were stunned again, their faces written with disbelief. Reborn?
"When I woke up, I found I had been reborn into a timeline before one of the Lord Zenos appeared, occupying the body of one of the Black Gokus," Black Goku replied, a complex light flashing in his eyes. "I knew what was going to happen next, so I didn't hesitate for a second. I immediately used the Time Ring to leave that parallel world to save my life... and then, I happened to be discovered by this brother here and followed him over."
Black Vegeta, Zamasu, and Black Broly all looked at Black Goku with bewilderment, their eyes full of shock and disbelief. No one had expected this guy to be reborn; it was simply unheard of.
In fact, this Black Goku was someone from the same world as the reborn Vegeta. No, that's not quite right. It should be said that Black Goku and Vegeta were two opponents who had fought in a previous life. In principle, they didn't belong to the same parallel world. Because the Zamasu of Vegeta's parallel world had already been destroyed by Beerus and had completely vanished. Additionally, the Zamasu appearing here was the Zamasu who originally existed in this world—the native Zamasu of Trunks' world. And the Black Goku and Zamasu previously eliminated by Son Gohan were unexpected visitors from another parallel world.
As for Black Vegeta, it was precisely because he watched the match between Vegeta and Universe 6 that he used the Super Dragon Balls to swap bodies with him, gaining Vegeta's powerful combat ability. Black Broly came from the original timeline, but before he planned to swap bodies with Son Goku, he specifically asked the sage Zuno about the Saiyans of Universe 7. Upon this inquiry, Zuno revealed that there was a Saiyan even more powerful than Son Goku: Broly, the Legendary Super Saiyan. Thus, Zamasu ultimately swapped bodies with Broly, becoming Black Broly.
Now, these identical souls in different bodies had gathered together with a single goal: the elimination of humanity. Among them, Black Goku was a reincarnated being with memories and experiences from a previous life, which was undoubtedly a huge advantage. He had been personally erased by Zeno, and his fear of Zeno was deep-seated.
"I came here primarily to tell you: absolutely do not go to other timelines to find more of our counterparts. Otherwise, you will only repeat my mistakes," Black Goku said gravely, his eyes full of warning. "I'm thinking... the reason Lord Zeno erased us back then was that we interfered with too many timelines and caught his attention! If it's just the few of us, Lord Zeno shouldn't care about such a small matter!"
Black Vegeta and the others fell silent, their brows furrowed in deep thought. Whether Lord Zeno would care about this matter was still an unknown. If he really intervened, it would indeed be difficult to handle. All of them combined were no match for Zeno and could be easily erased.
"It seems that if we want to survive well in this parallel world, we first have to find a way to deal with Lord Zeno. Otherwise, he will always be a hidden threat," Black Vegeta snorted coldly, killing intent flashing in his eyes. He had clearly begun to harbor thoughts he shouldn't have.
"Don't be a fool. Lord Zeno only has to wave his hand and you'll vanish before you even have a chance to react. You still want to ambush him? It's pure delusion," Black Goku laughed softly, shaking his head slowly with a hint of mockery. "In front of Lord Zeno, we are as tiny as ants, completely unable to withstand a single blow."
"Then what do you suggest? We can't just sit here and wait for death, can we? Are you sure Lord Zeno really won't care about this?" Zamasu asked, his tone carrying a hint of anxiety. He was clearly worried that Zeno might suddenly appear.
"I'm not entirely sure. I'm just stating a fact to avoid the same tragedy," Black Goku answered helplessly. "As for what to do next, I don't have a good solution either."
"Then what should we do? We can't just give up on the Zero Mortals Plan, can we?" Zamasu was also completely out of ideas, his brow furrowed and his expression grave.
The scene fell into silence once more. The air was thick with a sense of oppression, and everyone's heart was filled with anxiety and unease. If Lord Zeno once intervened, in the end, all of them would vanish without leaving a single trace.
"Brothers, I have a rather risky idea that we might try," Black Broly suddenly spoke up, his tone calm.
"Let's hear it. What's the plan?" Zamasu nodded, his eyes carrying a hint of expectation. As long as they could avoid being erased by Zeno, he was willing to try even the riskiest method.
"Instead of worrying that Lord Zeno will appear and erase us, why don't we proactively go to find Lord Zeno and strive for his approval?" Black Broly proposed, his tone carrying a hint of certainty.
Upon hearing this, Zamasu and the other two shuddered, their faces turning pale in an instant.
This idea of yours is very dangerous!
Zamasu screamed internally.
We could have just laid low for a while! If we'd kept a low profile, we might have escaped our fate.
But now you want to go find Grand Zen-Oh on your own? Isn't that just walking straight into a trap?
Do you think your erasure wasn't thorough enough the first time?
Black Vegeta's brow was furrowed, clearly dissatisfied with the proposal.
"Let me ask you first—how much of this world has already been destroyed?" Black Broly ignored their reactions and continued to question Black Vegeta. "Besides killing the humans on Earth, what else have you done? Have you killed any other Supreme Kais?"
"The plan to eliminate the Supreme Kais was about to be implemented, but we hadn't had time to act yet," Black Vegeta replied.
"In other words, except for the humans on Earth being mostly dead, you haven't started moving against the gods of the other universes?" Black Broly confirmed once more, a flash of realization in his eyes.
"That is correct," Zamasu nodded, answering for Black Vegeta.
"That's slightly different from the parallel world I came from," Black Broly said with a light smile, his tone relaxing. "In my world, I only started moving on Earth after I had eliminated all the gods."
"My world was the same as yours. We cleared out all the gods before laying a hand on the humans," Goku Black added, nodding toward Black Broly with a hint of lingering fear in his voice.
"Then that's excellent news. This might just be our chance." Black Broly let out a small sigh of relief. He looked at Goku Black and pondered for a moment. "The main reason Grand Zen-Oh erased you was likely because you wiped out all the gods, right?"
"It's possible," Goku Black didn't deny it, his tone heavy.
"In this world, at least, you haven't really done anything yet—you've only targeted a single planet, Earth," Black Broly said with a grin, a hint of cunning in his eyes. "To a god, a planet like Earth is so insignificant in the vast universe that Grand Zen-Oh might not even care about it!"
"So what's your point? What should we do?" Zamasu asked, eager for an answer.
"We proactively apply to Grand Zen-Oh, stating that we want to manage Earth and the entire galaxy it resides in according to our ideals. We can argue that we'll make the universe develop in a better direction, and use that to gain his recognition," Black Broly proposed with a confident tone. "Then we ask Grand Zen-Oh to give us some time to develop and demonstrate our capabilities."
"That sounds a bit risky. What if Grand Zen-Oh disagrees and just erases us on the spot?" Zamasu asked deeply, his tone full of worry. He didn't want to take such a gamble.
"If Grand Zen-Oh doesn't agree, then we just have to pack it up and go home... give it up, go to sleep, and abandon the plan to eliminate humanity," Black Broly let out a long sigh of resignation. "As for the body swap, you can just go back to Universe 10 in your current bodies and continue being a Supreme Kai. At least that way you'll keep your lives."
"There's one more thing I haven't told you," Goku Black's brow furrowed, his tone grave. "Beerus from Universe 7 already knows about us. He erased the past version of me. We have no way back anymore."
"Since there's no way back, then we'll just find a random universe to spend our long lives in. We have plenty of time, after all," Black Broly smiled, looking entirely unconcerned. "We Grendels have incredibly long lifespans. Perhaps after many years have passed and Beerus and the others have forgotten what we did, we can make new plans and stage a comeback."
The group discussed it thoroughly and felt that what Black Broly said might actually be feasible.
Rather than sitting and waiting for the end, it was better to take the initiative and go for broke.
After all, they were essentially the same person, sharing the same thoughts and goals; it was easy to reach a consensus on many things.
Ultimately, the four of them decided that Black Broly and Zamasu would personally visit Grand Zen-Oh's palace.
They would apply to Grand Zen-Oh for the management of Earth and its galaxy, testing the waters to see what he thought.
They would gauge Grand Zen-Oh's attitude first; if he agreed, they could carry out their plan openly.
If he didn't, they would follow Black Broly's suggestion: find a place to hide and wait for the heat to die down before making further plans.
With the decision made, Black Broly and Zamasu didn't dare delay. They set off immediately, using Instant Transmission to appear outside Grand Zen-Oh's palace.
Both were visibly nervous.
Flash!
In a blur of motion, the Grand Minister appeared before Zamasu and Black Broly like a ghost. He looked at them expressionlessly, his deep gaze seemingly capable of seeing through their every thought.
"Greetings, Grand Minister!"
