Chapter 1 - The First Glance

In this story, I take you back to childhood, where dreams are born for the first time in innocent hearts, and emotions intertwine with the first experiences of learning and life. It is a journey of true love, of pain and fear, and of the strength that first admiration can inspire. Every moment, every glance, and every word was a small stone in building Soren's character, a character who would later discover the meaning of love, patience, and sacrifice.

Chapter One: The First Glance

In this story, I will recount events that actually happened in real life, some time ago, specifically in 2012. There was a little boy named Soren, who was seven years old at that time and had just been admitted to school for the first time. Soren was very mischievous and lazy, always avoiding his homework and skipping classes.

One day, his mother was summoned to the school, and they informed her about his misbehavior and constant absences. She took Soren back home and told his father what had happened. His father, filled with anger, gave Soren a strong slap. Yet Soren held back his tears; he knew that in his environment, showing weakness, especially crying, was considered a flaw in front of everyone.

After that, his aunt transferred him to another school, which was slightly mixed, with more girls than boys. On his first day at the new school, Soren entered the building without much concern for studying, until something unexpected happened.

His eyes fell on a little girl his age, Lyra, and that single glance left a deep mark on his heart. Lyra was very diligent, always walking with those who shared her dedication. She was surrounded by many classmates, and she usually spent her time with the most hardworking students.

The first lesson in the new school began, and Soren entered the classroom, already missing Lyra's presence. To his surprise, Lyra was seated in the same class, right next to him. He looked up at the sky and whispered, "Thank you, God." He sat at the table beside her, thinking to himself: "What luck… am I dreaming?"

The lessons began, and Soren, as usual, was very lazy, while Lyra kept glancing at him with pity, noticing his lack of interest and effort. As time passed, the lunch break arrived, and Lyra went out with her friends. Soren overheard her speaking with her classmates, saying she did not like lazy people. He felt as if her words were meant directly for him.

Soren returned home feeling sad, realizing how lazy he had been. Yet he remembered her words and decided to change himself. He was determined to become one of the top students and spent the whole night reading and studying until his eyes grew tired from exhaustion.

The next day, he went to school, tired but determined to succeed. Over time, he began answering the teacher's questions quickly, and his grades steadily improved.

The girls around him began noticing his progress and diligence, and some started to admire him. But his heart was only with Lyra. Even though he was the only one who truly noticed her beauty and dedication, he ignored the attention of other girls. His love was one-sided, painful yet inspiring him to persevere.

Soren continued studying diligently until he surpassed all his classmates and became the top student in his class. At the end of the first school year, he had not confessed his love to Lyra, yet his heart carried her always, knowing that this love would remain a source of motivation for his achievements in the future.

Although the first school year had ended, fate had not revealed all its secrets. First love may grow quietly, but it always carries unexpected challenges, and a betrayal may be waiting to test the loyalty of hearts. Soren's journey with Lyra was far from over, and the days ahead held surprises neither of them would ever forget.
