"Smack!"
Goku raised his arm and caught Frieza's incoming punch. At the same time, he drove his knee upward toward Frieza's abdomen.
Frieza reacted instantly, shifting sideways to avoid the blow.
In the next second, Frieza lashed out with a kick.
Goku leapt back, narrowly dodging it, then shot straight into the sky.
A sharp gleam flashed in Frieza's eyes.
"Whoosh! Whoosh!"
Two crimson beams tore through the air, streaking toward Goku at incredible speed.
"Flash!"
Goku vanished from his original position and reappeared behind Frieza, slamming a heavy blow into his back.
"Ugh—!"
Frieza spat out a mouthful of bile, his entire body convulsing from the impact.
Furious, he spun around with a savage side kick.
Goku slipped aside effortlessly.
Frieza lunged again, unleashing a flurry of punches and kicks.
Goku calmly blocked every strike with precise movements of his arms.
"Ho ho ho! Son Goku, can you keep up with my speed?" Frieza cackled, suddenly accelerating his attacks.
"Bang!"
Goku's eyes sharpened. He drove a brutal uppercut straight into Frieza's stomach.
"Gah—!"
Frieza spewed another mouthful of bile, veins bulging across his forehead. His face turned pale as disbelief washed over him.
Is this an illusion?
How is Son Goku this strong?
He hasn't even transformed into a Super Saiyan!
How is this possible?!
"RAAAAH!"
Frieza roared and hurled a wave of energy forward.
Goku vanished again.
"BOOM!"
The blast carved a massive chunk out of Namek's surface, as if a giant blade had sliced a piece clean off the planet.
Watching through the crystal ball, the gathered Namekians turned pale, sweat pouring down their faces.
Good thing we moved early…
If this continues, Namek will be destroyed.
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!"
Suddenly, seven glowing Dragon Balls fell from the sky and landed near Krillin and the others.
They stared in amazement.
"So these are Namek's Dragon Balls? They're huge—way bigger than Earth's!" Krillin exclaimed.
"Incredible…" Yamcha nodded.
"The true Dragon Balls of Namek…" Tien murmured.
The Grand Elder smiled in relief.
"Good. The Dragon Balls came with us."
He then turned to Moori.
"Grand Elder!" Moori bowed solemnly.
"My life is nearing its end," the Grand Elder said calmly. "In no more than seven days, I will pass on. When that time comes, you will become the new Grand Elder."
"Yes, Grand Elder."
The Namekians lowered their heads in silence.
Krillin and the others exchanged awkward glances.
Wait… you're not dying for another seven days.
Is it really time for a memorial already?
"Come on, Dad!" Gohan clenched his fists tightly, staring at the crystal ball.
Back on Namek
Seeing a portion of the planet obliterated, even Goku inhaled deeply.
"Flash!"
He vanished and reappeared behind Frieza, delivering a crushing kick to the back of his head.
"Gah!"
Frieza screamed as he was launched forward, crashing headfirst into a massive rock formation.
"Rumble—!"
His body plowed through one island and rolled onto another, kicking up clouds of dust.
Yet moments later, Frieza stood up from the rubble as if nothing had happened, shaking his head.
Goku stared at him seriously.
He's even tougher than I thought…
Frieza narrowed his eyes.
"Unbelievable, Son Goku. Something extraordinary must have happened to you. Otherwise, you couldn't have become this strong."
"You're right," Goku nodded honestly.
"Good. Then take a look at this!"
Frieza waved his hands lightly.
The scattered rocks around them began to rise into the air under his control.
With a flick of his wrist, the stones shot toward Goku like bullets.
Goku: "..."
This trick again?
He shattered the incoming rocks effortlessly with punches and kicks.
"Got you!" Frieza suddenly appeared behind him, grinning.
"Behind me!" Goku had already sensed his ki.
He spun around with a brilliant flying kick, smashing Frieza square in the jaw.
"GAAH!"
Frieza howled, feeling as though his jaw had nearly dislocated.
"Haha, Frieza! I can sense your energy now. That trick won't work on me!"
Goku grinned and followed up with a devastating double-fisted strike.
"BOOM!"
Frieza crashed into the ground like a meteor, triggering a massive explosion.
A towering mushroom cloud rose into the sky as shockwaves rippled across Namek.
Piccolo, watching from a distance, was stunned.
Maybe I should move even farther back…
They're monsters.
And the Grand Elder said if I fuse with Kami, I could defeat Frieza?
Right now… I'm not so sure.

"…Ahem. I take back what I said earlier," the Grand Elder suddenly spoke, an awkward smile tugging at his lips.
Everyone turned toward him in confusion.
"I previously told Katas's child that if he fused with Earth's Kami, he might be able to defeat Frieza."
He sighed deeply.
"But now… it seems I underestimated Frieza's true strength."
