It started with a simple "Are you awake?"
Riya didn't know that one message from Arnav would slowly become her favorite part of every night. What began as casual conversation turned into long midnight talks about dreams, fears, and a future they quietly imagined together.
"Someday I'll take you to the sea," Arnav once said.
"I'm scared of the waves," Riya replied softly.
"Don't worry," he smiled through the screen, "I'll hold your hand."
Days turned into months.
Good morning texts. Late night calls. Silent smiles behind phone screens.
And then one day… the messages stopped.
No warning. No explanation.
Just silence.
The last thing Arnav wrote was,
"I love you… but maybe our story isn't meant to last."
Now every night, Riya still checks her phone at midnight —
hoping to see that one message again…
