While Aiden was busy erecting facilities throughout the building, the wolves departed to complete the assigned quest.
"What kind of a mission is this?" Elena Renault, one of the female wolves, asked Marcus. "Capture hobgoblins? Does this landlord even know how difficult it would be to hunt one, let alone capture one alive?"
"Shut your mouth, Elena," Marcus shot back. "I won't tolerate any slander against Mr. Black."
The entire group was surprised by Marcus's tone. Everyone knew he treated Elena like a daughter and had never used such a tone on her. Not even when she had run them into trouble.
However, it wasn't just him. Both Glenn and Damian disapproved of Elena's tone. While they didn't know why Aiden wanted the monsters brought to them alive, they trusted him.
"Besides, the quest is to just bring them back alive," Glenn said. "It doesn't mention the state they need to be. We can sever their limbs and bring them back, and it would still count."
Damian nodded.
