He aimed for the largest pillar, a dark purple, continent-sized biological bridge that connected the outer mantle directly to the violet sun of the World-Eater's egg.
Lucifer hit the flesh.

The impact was sickening. His heavy iron boots sank an inch into the spongy, corrupted tissue. The pillar pulsed with a slow, heavy heartbeat, pumping highly concentrated Abyssal magic through thick black veins the size of city streets.
It smelled of rotting meat.
