New week, let's push!!
--------------------------------------------------
"Cough, cough, cough... Bastard. You got caught in my Time Freeze. Sleep in the Palace of the Dragon King for eternity!"
Urashiki grabbed his bleeding left eye and laughed.
This move was one of his secret weapons. Even Ōtsutsuki Isshiki would struggle to break free. Urashiki was sure the old man could not get out.
Then a calm voice came from inside the white mist.
Manji walked out slowly. Golden light shone from him, as bright as the midday sun. Wherever the light touched, the white smoke faded away like frost in warmth.
Urashiki's wild smile faded. His face changed, and fear filled his one good eye.
"My Time Freeze failed? How?"
This was his best move, strong enough to trouble Ōtsutsuki Isshiki. But against this old man, it fell apart like a simple trick.
"..." Urashiki could not believe it.
"Heh." Manji let out a soft laugh.
A faint turtle-shaped shadow appeared on his chest.
Urashiki's right eye went wide. His pupils shrank, and shock showed on his face.
"That's... Karasuki? The Ōtsutsuki Clan's sacred time-space treasure?"
He never thought this monster would have the Ōtsutsuki Clan's time-space artifact. Now it all made sense. No wonder his time reversal did not work. No wonder his Time Freeze failed.
"Cough, cough... Isshiki and Kaguya really are animals. They handed you a treasure tool on a silver platter!"
Urashiki cursed through clenched teeth.
Manji smiled. "You are no different. I'll be taking your eyes too."
Urashiki's face distorted in anger and fear.
The Ōtsutsuki always took from others. When had anyone ever taken from them?
"When my clansmen arrive, you will die without a grave!" As he spoke, Urashiki reached for his own remaining eye, prepared to gouge it out and destroy it before Manji could claim it.
Manji moved first.
A Truth-Seeking Orb shifted and turned into the Sword of Nunoboko. With one swing, it cut Urashiki in half at the waist.
"That's all?" Manji took out the other eye and sealed it in his sleeve with the first one.
Urashiki was valuable.
Everything on him was useful.
The red-glowing fishing creel was a rare prize by itself. It could catch almost anything. Mitsuki's Sage Mode had been taken as if it were nothing. Then there was the Rinnegan, the time-reversal power, and the golden Rinnegan he got later. He had a great setup.
But in the original story, his performance was different...
What a waste!!
"And this body too. The horns are small, so he looks like a lesser Ōtsutsuki, but rare things are still rare." Manji stored Urashiki's corpse as well.
Manji thought Urashiki's bloodline was not pure Ōtsutsuki because of his horns. Isshiki and Momoshiki had big, clear horns. Those with weaker bloodlines were different.
Hagoromo, Hamura, and Toneri barely had horns at all.
........
The next morning, Tajima woke up slowly. When he looked up, he saw Manji still sitting at the table.
"Hm? Grandpa, did you not sleep?" Uchiha Tajima rubbed his eyes and asked.
Manji gave him a faint smile. "I woke up early."
From beginning to end, handling Ōtsutsuki Urashiki took just one night.
After Uchiha Tajima left for the clan academy, Manji smiled and pulled out the red-glowing fishing hook.
"From now on, I can enjoy being a proper fisherman."
........
Ōtsutsuki Urashiki opened his eyes in a daze.
He got up from the ground, feeling shaky and confused. When his vision cleared, he saw pale surroundings and a white sky that seemed to go on forever.
"Hm? Strange. Didn't I die?" He rubbed his eyes and then perked up. "And my eyes are back?"
Urashiki tried to activate his Byakugan.
Nothing happened.
He tried the Rinnegan.
Still nothing.
His eyes were back, but they had no power. Then Urashiki realized something even worse.
His chakra was gone...
"Where am I?" Urashiki looked around, feeling lost.
Just then, a middle-aged man in tight combat clothes walked over. He crossed his arms and glanced at Urashiki.
"Yo, new guy. Looks like you crossed the Sage of Six Paths too and got sent here to expand the Pure Land."
The Shimura Clan Head looked at him with a casual, uncaring expression.
Urashiki's face turned cold. "Hm? Inferior creature. Who do you think you're speaking to?"
The Shimura Clan Head paused.
He did not realize this man was Ōtsutsuki. Seeing the pale eyes, he thought Urashiki was just a Hyūga who had angered the Sage and ended up here.
"Looks like the Sage of Six Paths was right to send you here," the Shimura Clan Head said with a laugh.
He tossed Urashiki a pickaxe. "Quit barking and get to work. If you don't clear a few hundred meters today, you don't rest."
Urashiki stared at the pickaxe in disbelief.
For a moment, the whole thing felt so absurd that Urashiki's mind almost went blank. He did not know where he was. He had no chakra. His eyes did not work. Now, a mortal was telling him to do manual labor.
And this Sage of Six Paths...
Was that the old man from before?
"YOU BASTARD!" Urashiki snapped. "How dare you treat me this way? Do you understand that you people are insects? Tiny creatures crawling in the dirt, ignorant of the universe above you!"
He stood up straighter, trying to regain some Ōtsutsuki pride. "Do you know how many years I have lived?"
"..." The Shimura Clan Head flinched for a moment.
Then he remembered where he was... He had worked in the Pure Land for years and was one of the first souls sent here. Why should he be afraid of a new troublemaker?
"YOU ARROGANT BASTARD!"
The Shimura Clan Head strode forward, furious. "How many years have you been in the Pure Land? You just got here, and you're already running your mouth?"
Before Urashiki could react, the Shimura Clan Head raised his right hand and slapped him across the left side of his face.
Smack!
The slap echoed through the empty place.
The Shimura Clan Head had lived through the age of chaos. He always liked to act first and explain later.
Urashiki never thought a mortal would hit him. Caught off guard, his head jerked to the side. A red handprint appeared on his left cheek, and hot pain spread across his face.
"Pain?" Urashiki muttered, stunned. "I can feel pain?"
Before he could lash out, the Shimura Clan Head's left hand came down next.
Smack!
Another slap landed across Urashiki's right cheek.
Back and forth.
Pain shot through both sides of his face. Urashiki stood frozen. The anger in his eyes faded, replaced by disbelief so strong he forgot to breathe.
That summed up the situation.
Ōtsutsuki Urashiki finally faced reality. His power was gone. Now, he was just like any other man. Even his Taijutsu was weaker.
"You're a criminal. Don't expect courtesy from me." The Shimura Clan Head gave a cold snort. "NOW GET TO WORK."
He let the threat hang in the air.
Urashiki gritted his teeth. In the end, he bent down and picked up the tool for expanding the Pure Land.
Fine...
An Ōtsutsuki knew when to give in.
Survive first. Figure out this place later. Once he understood what was happening, he would decide what to do next.
