Falcon stood there for a brief moment after their outburst, his expression completely unchanged despite the sudden explosion of excitement in front of him, as though he had not just agreed to something that clearly meant far more to them than it ever would to him.
Dante was the first to recover.
"Well… since you've already said it and I heard it clearly with both of my ears, which I value very much by the way," he said quickly, stepping aside with exaggerated politeness, "this way, boss—sorry, not boss—this way, Falcon."
Falcon walked past him without a word.
Destene, however, lingered for half a second longer, still trying to process what had just happened, before quickly catching up, her tone lighter now, though there was still a hint of disbelief beneath it.
"You agreed way too easily," she said, narrowing her eyes slightly as she walked beside him. "I was expecting at least… I don't know… three more insults and one threat before we got here."
