"Captain! I have news" Edwin was a new recruit fresh out of the facility. He had an excited look on his face as he held a pair of worn binoculars in his hands.
Captain Adrian Corey looked up from his paperwork and at the excited specialist. "Did it eat another deer? Because if it did you've got to know by now that isn't news" Corey said exhausted from all the paperwork his bosses had him doing.
"There's something new out there!" Corey's eyes went wide when he heard Edwin speak. "New?" Corey bolted up from chair and followed the young Specialist out of his room.
It was a late night and the rest of the bunker was sound asleep aside from the pair. Thoughts started to race through Corey's head as he thought about what could have appeared.
The Slew wasn't known for anything other than Goblins and maybe a couple of Onyx. Although they did once have a Sleen come through the Breach but that was years back.
The bunker only had three levels and they were easily traversable so the pair made it to the protective concrete box that allowed them to survey the valley below.
Corey took the binoculars from Edwin and was hit with the glow of green phosphorus as he looked through them. In the clearing where a Goblin had been grazing on a dead deer carcass Early that day stood something else.
Unlike Corey's expectations the thing standing in the field below didn't resemble anything he had seen in his 11 years of watching the Slew. A horse like creature stood above the body of a now dead Onyx, the creature took Chuck after chunk from the body ravenously.
"Edwin go get Palmer and Adair, their going to want to see this thing"
At approximately 0340 hours a new entity had been spotted at the "Slew" Breach in [REDACTED] because specialist Edwin made the discovery he was given the right to name the entity.
