Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: The Broken Rules

The morning sun poured over Aqualis Village, bathing the cobblestones in gold. Children laughed, teachers called out lessons, and Ocean Counter walked toward the school gates as if nothing extraordinary were about to happen.

But extraordinary had already arrived.

A meta-level being — an entity that existed beyond rules, beyond narrative, beyond time itself — had appeared. It was known only as Regeneration, a conceptual force born from Ontological Argument, tasked with testing existence and rewriting outcomes.

"Your existence… cannot be allowed," it declared, its form flickering between infinite possibilities. "All cause, all effect, all attempts — negated."

Ocean Counter blinked, tilting his head. His black hair shimmered faintly in the sunlight, brown eyes calm. "I don't think so."

The being tried.

It pierced all levels of causality, attempting to erase Ocean from existence.

Every probability, outcome, and narrative construct aligned to end him.

Its Regeneration Ontological Argument sought to rewrite the child as "impossible."

And yet…

Ocean Counter's Limitless Magic responded automatically. Reality itself bent around him. Probabilities corrected themselves. Cause and effect were silently rewritten to favor his continued existence.

A single gesture from the child, a flick of his wrist, and the being shattered.

Its essence, meant to exist outside all rules, fragmented into infinitesimal threads.

Attempts at regeneration failed.

Its very concept could not withstand the truth of Ocean Counter's meta-presence.

The village continued its morning bustle, unaware that a being beyond all systems had been destroyed quietly, perfectly, and without effort.

Then, without pause, Ocean's gaze shifted. He sensed another layer: Answer & Question & Author — A&Q&A.

These were abstract constructs representing inquiry, narrative causality, and authorial intent.

They were designed to force a resolution, to test every choice, every possibility, every word the story might contain.

Ocean smiled faintly. "I suppose it's my turn."

In a blink:

He neutralized the constructs.

Questions ceased to exist without answers.

Answers lost all meaning.

Even the authorial presence, the invisible hand attempting to define the story, faltered.

The result was simple: Ocean Counter always wins.

Even beyond meta, beyond narrative, beyond authors and abstract logic, he remained untouchable, unshakable, and eternally calm.

He walked into the classroom. The teacher, the students, even Kael Thorn — all oblivious to the cosmic annihilation that had just occurred outside perception.

Ocean Counter didn't smile. He didn't celebrate. He simply adjusted his satchel and quietly took his seat.

The world, once again, aligned itself seamlessly around him.
