Chapter 141 - Chapter 141: The Three Seafood Make a Grand Entrance

However, before Furina could pursue, the ground near them suddenly began to shake. Then, densely packed terracotta warriors rose from underground, intercepting between the two of them.

There was already some distance between them, and with so many terracotta warriors blocking the way, directly chasing after him had obviously become much harder.

Originally Furina had planned to use the fight with Mōryō to temper her taijutsu a bit more, but with the opponent's current sleazy tactics, that was clearly no longer possible.

Since that was the case, she would just have to change her approach.

After glancing around at the terracotta warriors slowly closing in from all sides, Furina did not attack. Instead, she sheathed her sword, clasped her hands together, and in the next second, a terrifying surge of chakra erupted around her body.

At that moment, it seemed even the terracotta warriors' movements slowed for an instant. But no one was paying attention to them anymore. Suddenly, countless streams of water burst from the ground beneath Furina's feet and spread outward, forming a circular lake several kilometers wide.

Then, from within the lake, three enormous figures rose, each twenty meters or so in size: Squidward, Mr. Krabs, and... cough cough, no, it was Mademoiselle Crabaletta, Gentilhomme Usher, and Surintendante Chevalmarin.

Furina felt that for the three little ones' first official appearance, it was better to use somewhat proper titles. As for later... hehe (#^.^#).

The three seafood did not hesitate upon appearing. They immediately locked onto the retreating Mōryō and began charging simultaneously. Massive amounts of water-natured chakra started condensing in front of them.

The instant he was locked onto, an intense sense of danger surged in Mōryō's heart. He was supposed to be immortal—how could this be happening?

Although filled with confusion, Mōryō knew this danger definitely came from the three newly summoned creatures. He quickly commanded the terracotta warriors to attack the three seafood—not to inflict damage, just to disrupt their charging.

But how could Furina let his plan succeed? While the three seafood were charging, Furina formed another huge water ball and sent it flying into the sky.

The water ball scattered like celestial maidens scattering flowers. Whenever a terracotta warrior approached, it shot out a high-pressure water jet, instantly shattering the warrior into pieces.

And notably, under normal circumstances, damaged terracotta warriors would quickly repair themselves under the influence of Mōryō's chakra. But this time was different. Although they still repaired after being shattered by the water jets, the speed was greatly reduced—to the point where one could say it was practically nonexistent.

After completing all this, Furina did not immediately chase after Mōryō. Instead, she stood there like nothing was wrong, looking around in all directions as if waiting for something.

"Trouble."

Sensing the massive chakra in the distance that was starting to make even his scalp tingle, Obito's expression also turned unpleasant. He had not expected that in such a short time without seeing her, Furina had grown so much stronger again.

This chakra had clearly surpassed his current level. She really was a genius monster. After all, he was an Uchiha, and he had even fused Hashirama's cells.

"If I'd known, I would have joined that idiot Mōryō and finished it quickly together. Instead I insisted on letting him handle it alone for fun. Well, look at you now."

Watching Mōryō in the distance, whose figure already looked somewhat disheveled from sensing the threat, Obito inwardly cursed while also feeling a bit of schadenfreude. You like fighting alone, right? Go on then—why are you running? Don't you like it anymore?

After sarcastically mocking Mōryō for a bit, Obito began thinking about what to do next. No matter how much he disliked Mōryō, the other was still his subordinate and a future asset for when he split from Nagato. He absolutely could not let him get sealed here.

But... although Furina appeared careless, Obito would not be fooled by appearances. He knew she was being vigilant toward him. Whether not chasing Mōryō or looking around everywhere now, she was keeping an eye on his movements.

This put Obito in a very difficult position. If Furina chased Mōryō, he could attack those summons to interrupt their charging. But the water ball in the air posed no threat to him at all.

Obito was confident Furina had not discovered his position, so she was just staying there on the off chance—for his sake? You really think highly of me, huh.

Although he felt pretty good after imagining that, Obito did not forget the main issue. He gave a look to Black Zetsu and White Zetsu beside him. Before White Zetsu could look puzzled, Black Zetsu controlled the body to nod slightly, and then the body slowly sank into the ground.

"Hm?"

Obito's muttering suddenly gave Furina, who was searching everywhere for his trace, a chill. But she could not find the source of the unease. Just then, the three seafood had finished charging. Furina immediately signaled them to hit hard.

Since she could not find the real culprit, she would just take it out on that guy Mōryō for now. Anyway, he was not a good person either. Furina felt not the slightest guilt about it.
