Chapter 41 - Chapter 41: The Light Screen Restarts—Roger's Public Execution

...

After each side finished making those world-shaking "phone calls," the reinforcements from all three factions rushed toward God Valley from different directions at maximum speed.

However, the first to arrive on the scene—and in a completely unexpected manner—was a heavyweight figure.

At the shoreline, space seemed to warp slightly. A figure emerged slowly and without warning.

He wore a black suit, had curly white hair and a fluffy white beard, and held a strangely shaped cane in his hand.

It was none other than one of the highest authorities in the world—one of the Five Elders, the Godhead of Scientific Defense, Jaygarcia Saturn Saint!

When they saw this major figure appear, Roger and the top-tier powerhouses behind him raised their eyebrows, their expressions growing noticeably more serious.

Meanwhile, Saint Garling and the God's Knights members reacted as if they had been injected with adrenaline. Their spirits instantly soared, their postures straightened, as though they had found their backbone.

"You've been hiding on that warship peeping the whole time—did you enjoy the show, you old bastard?!"

Rocks saw Saturn and showed zero reverence. He immediately launched into a barrage of insults without holding back, his tone dripping with undisguised contempt and hostility.

In truth, he had long sensed Saturn's presence concealed among the outer Marine fleet. But earlier, trapped by the light screen barrier, neither side could do anything to the other—so he had simply ignored him.

Saint Garling, hearing Rocks dare to insult Saturn Saint so brazenly, instantly flew into a rage. He was about to shout a reprimand when Saturn raised a hand and calmly stopped him.

"What an arrogant and ignorant young man."

Saturn's voice was low and filled with authority, carrying the cold indifference of someone long accustomed to supreme power. The way he looked at Rocks was like gazing at an annoying insect.

"Your clan, along with the remnants of those Buccaneer tribe vermin, are sinful bloodlines this world has no need for… Don't delude yourself into thinking you can challenge the established order of this world!"

Saturn's words carried the unmistakable tone of absolute judgment.

However, at that moment, his attention was mostly focused on the now-dim massive gray stone slab floating in midair.

He had previously tried contacting the other Five Elders—even attempting to invoke deeper powers—but every effort had been blocked by an invisible yet immensely vast mysterious force. This filled him with deep wariness.

This power could even partially shield against the will of "that person" behind them!

At that moment, heavy footsteps echoed from the shore once more—like war drums pounding on everyone's hearts.

Everyone turned toward the sound. A towering, imposing figure approached in great strides, like a moving mountain. Two massive horns protruded from his head, radiating a primitive and wild aura.

It was the King of Elbaf, the strongest warrior of the Giant Tribe—Harald!

Seeing that Harald had truly answered the call, a genuine smile spread across Rocks' face.

Though they had clashed before over certain ideological differences, Harald's arrival now clearly showed that the bond between them—built on mutual strength and respect—still held.

"Hey! Rocks! What the hell is going on here? You called me over in such a rush—what for?!"

Harald's voice boomed like thunder as he shouted toward Rocks the moment he arrived.

But when he scanned the surroundings and saw the horrific scene—corpses strewn everywhere, Marines, pirates, and even Celestial Dragons mixed together in a bloody mess…

His rugged brows immediately furrowed tightly. Then he spotted Five Elder Saturn Saint standing not far away, and his expression grew even more grave.

"You'll find out in a second!"

Rocks pointed at the enormous gray slab overhead: "See that thing up there? It can play scenes from the future! I didn't lie to you!"

On the other side, Saturn's usually calm and unchanging face showed clear surprise when he saw even the Giant King summoned by Rocks.

The situation was developing in an increasingly complicated direction.

"Garp! Where are you?! What the hell happened here?!"

From the opposite shoreline came a powerful, rough voice full of force.

A burly man with short purple hair charged forward like a cannonball!

His hands were already coated in Armament Haki, his eyes blazing with fierce battle intent.

This was the man who would later be known as the "Non-Killing" Admiral—now still young and hot-blooded, renowned for his iron-fisted style—Vice Admiral Zephyr!

Behind him followed the future "Wise General" Sengoku and the brilliant strategist Vice Admiral Tsuru.

The three of them were far younger than their future appearances on the light screen. Sengoku had not yet grown his signature braided mustache, and Tsuru still had beautiful black hair.

"Calm down, Zephyr! It hasn't started yet!"

For once, Garp actually spoke up to restrain his old classmate: "The situation is a bit complicated. I just called you all here as a precaution!"

Sengoku hurried to Garp's side. When he saw the hellish carnage across God Valley and the tense standoff among the factions…

Even with his brilliant mind, he couldn't help but be shocked.

And when his gaze landed on Five Elder Saturn Saint, his heart jolted violently.

He had already been informed of the situation here, but Sengoku never imagined it had escalated to the point of potential all-out chaos.

"The Rocks Pirates, the Roger Pirates, the God's Knights—and now even one of the Five Elders…"

Zephyr quickly assessed the battlefield. He lowered his voice, unable to hide his astonishment as he asked Garp:

"What kind of bizarre lineup is this? A dress rehearsal for world war?"

"I don't even know where to start."

Garp glanced at the grim-faced Sengoku, then concisely briefed Zephyr—and Sengoku and Tsuru, who had gathered close—on everything he had witnessed since arriving at God Valley: the Celestial Dragons carrying out racial massacres, and the mysterious light screen that played visions of the future.

Hearing about the atrocities of genocide and the miraculous light screen that foretold the future, Zephyr, Tsuru, and Sengoku all displayed extreme shock.

"Hey! You whatever-the-hell Five Elder bug! And you, Knights Commander (Saint Garling)!"

Rocks was now brimming with battle intent, not a trace of fear in his eyes. With his wife and child already rescued and no more worries holding him back, he just wanted to go all out and drag these lofty "gods" down from their pedestals!

"Your people are all here, right? Since everyone's assembled—cut the crap and let's fight!"

Hearing that combat was finally about to begin, Roger—already impatient—immediately grew excited. His famous sword Ace was drawn once more.

His burning gaze locked firmly onto Garp.

"Marines! Prioritize protecting all World Nobles for immediate evacuation! God's Knights! Full deployment!!"

Seeing that battle was unavoidable, and with Saturn Saint personally present, Saint Garling's courage surged. He raised his sword high and barked orders coldly, his icy gaze fixed dead on Rocks!

Nearby, Giant King Harald still hadn't fully grasped the situation—how had things escalated so drastically in just a few sentences?

A world-shaking all-out brawl was about to erupt?!

Just as both sides stood at maximum tension, killing intent filling the air, on the verge of clashing—

"Buzz!!!"

The massive gray slab overhead suddenly burst forth with dazzling, blinding light once again—without any warning!

Immediately after, the transparent barrier that had only recently vanished reformed at an even faster speed, instantly re-enclosing the entire area!

Like an enormous bowl flipped upside-down over God Valley, it once again sealed off any possibility of escape!

Saint Garling had just gathered powerful sword energy and was about to launch the first strike when an invisible yet vast, ocean-like pressure descended from above, precisely enveloping him!

"Pfft!"

It was as if he had been smashed by a ten-thousand-ton hammer. Saint Garling couldn't even fully scream before the irresistible force slammed him flat to the ground. His internal organs felt like they had shifted!

A mouthful of blood sprayed uncontrollably!

"This isn't… why… me!!"

Saint Garling struggled to lift his head, trying to resist the pressure. His face turned beet red from the effort.

Yet even Big Mom Charlotte Linlin had been unable to withstand this force before—let alone him?

In the face of this absolute rule-based power, his resistance appeared utterly futile.

Unable to endure the soul-crushing agony any longer, Saint Garling finally had no choice but to forcibly dispel the killing intent and malice in his heart.

The instant he gave up resisting, the terrifying pressure on him receded like a retreating tide, vanishing completely.

Seeing Saint Garling's sudden miserable state, along with the re-illuminated light screen and barrier, Roger, Rocks, Garp, Zephyr, Kaido, Whitebeard, and the other powerhouses who had been about to act…

All froze, instinctively halting their movements.

Saturn Saint stared fixedly at the now-glowing light screen. His eyes suddenly revealed an extremely eerie pattern—concentric ripple-like pupils!

Far away in the Holy Land Mary Geoise, upon the Empty Throne in the Room of Flowers, that mysterious entity "Imu" was quietly observing everything happening in God Valley—through Saturn Saint's perspective!

"Garp, this thing… is this powerful?!"

Vice Admiral Tsuru stepped forward, staring in shock at Saint Garling sprawled pathetically on the ground, coughing up blood.

When had the commander of the God's Knights ever looked so wretched?

"Earlier, Linlin tried to make a move too—and got suppressed even worse."

Garp began explaining the "rules" of the light screen to the three newcomers—Sengoku, Tsuru, and Zephyr.

"As long as this thing is lit up, you can't just attack and kill freely. Otherwise, it'll punish you—and if you're unlucky, it really could squash you into a pancake!"

While everyone was still stunned and processing this sudden turn of events, new images slowly began to emerge on the light screen.

And this time, the content playing left Roger completely dumbfounded—because the scene that appeared was none other than his own hometown!

The town at the beginning and end of the East Blue—Loguetown!

At this moment, Loguetown's central plaza was packed with people, voices booming everywhere!

And right then, Roger walked in from the distance wearing handcuffs, slowly ascending the execution platform!
