Theo's head snapped up from the envelope, a shiver running down his spine.
'It's him,' he thought, eyes darting through the room.
There was only one person whom he'd ever heard say 'Dance for the Blood God'.
And that was the Calamity Covenant member who'd fought him and overpowered him during the escape from Santa Barbara.
'That maniac…' he thought, clenching his jaw. 'Seems like he's coming after me again.'
No matter where he looked, he couldn't find the man who'd placed the envelope in his hands.
Also, he couldn't understand why he'd even done that.
'Is it that much of a thrill for him?' he thought, brows furrowing.
Theo quietly folded the envelope before stuffing it into his pocket.
By the time he looked back up, the tension had already disappeared from his face.
Or at least… he hoped it had.
Just then, Jim turned around after accepting his purchases.
''Theo?'' he asked. ''You alright?''
Iris also looked over, immediately noticing the forced smile on his face.
