The news came to Mira as a relief. As the herb juice they fed her drained down her throat, she felt a surge of energy rush through her, not because the herbs was actually a fast energy drink booster but because she knew it was time to get rid of this pain. She needed to have a desperate relief and next time, no matter what the cost was, she would buy the injections women used to stop the pain during labour on Earth. Never again would she go through child birth like they did in the olden days. Mira could not shift so she could not even give birth like she had seen animals do so painlessly even though she was convinced from her first pregnancy that animals possibly felt pain too and just could not voice it.
