Chapter 1 - Lucius D. hevenhat

"gasps"

"he.. he...he"

jolting upward from his bed as he woke up. his chest heaving up and down.

laying back down on the bed as he observed his room, chandelier hanging from the top of the brown ceiling which had intricate gold designs.

Turning his head slightly to the left as he leveled his breathing, a 4 meter tall mirrow reflecting his image as he laid on the bed. Black hair and eyes plastered on a pale face and lean body.one without much muscle.

A stark contrast from his family members, who all had either blue or silver hair and eyes, showing their connection to the water and ice element.

looking at the family portrait that stood on the desk on right side of the king sized bed. holding the the family portrait that was in a small gold frame, he could only sigh inwardly

'sigh'

"its that dream again" he mutter under his breath

turning his head to the standing clock, time had already passed 6:30, and today was the day he would enroll in the royal academy. a small smirk escaped his lips

the smirk not due to excitement or expectation. no, it was the type of smile that screamed 'WHY ME'

'if not for fathers title and closeness to the king, l would not have been been admitted into the academy'

given his....unique problem his enrolment was ultimately permitted.

'i wouldn't be in this mess if i could use magic.' he thought to himself as her remember the look of confusion and pity he recieved on that day

"is it even necessary cant i be homeschooled or something"

knock knock

"open he"

he said as he looked at the figure entering the room

a maid with blond hair and an elegant figure, despite being dressed in a maid outfit, it did little to hide her curves

'how can someone be this curvy and elegant at the same time' those were the thoughts lucious had as he watched her move towards him. of course he didn't voice those words out

"good morning young master" she said placing the neatly folded clothes on the desk

"I've told you to call me by my name Ciel, were the same age"

Lucius said siting at the edge of the bed head tilted upwards as he looked at the girl in front of him

"i-i cant young master, i am your personal maid, i cant show such disrespect"

ciel said, eyes faced downwards trying to hide her slighly flushed face.

"young mas..."

looking at Lucius who's right brows were raised

"luci.."

"young master Lucius, please get dressed, the lady and head of the house are waiting for you"

saying that, she walked out of his room with hurried steps and a face flushed crimson

sigh at least its a start

getting up, he walked toward the window and admired the lush garden in his view

'another day another attempt not to disgrace myself'

he thought as he smirked grimly

looking over at the clothes that were placed neatly on the desk

he quickly put on the clothes and admired himself in the mirrow that was more than two times his height a white shirt and a black jacket with system gray patterns that spread from one arm to another the cloths with the black trouser were normal at least for a noble.

making his way through the massion he found in a passage which was aligned with the pictures of former heads of hevenhat family. with the scrutinizing gaze of all 22 portraits, he made his way to the dining hall.

standing before the black door he let out a slow nervous breath and opened it revealing what lay behind it

the room was colored in black, blue and white. at the center was a long plished wooden with six wood chairs, having blue colored frames and white paddings. plates and cutlery placed a top the wooden table.

sitting at the end of the table was the head of house hevenhat, vincent D. hevenhat, blue hair and eyes. at a glance it was clear where lucius got his handsomeness. the man who's in his 40's yet looked younger. The benefits of mana.

'if i were 40 i would look much older than him'

lucuis could only sigh internally

"what are you standing there for, quickly take your seat"

"ah...sorry am late"

he said snapping out of his daze, as he took the sit opposite the head

"its fine dear, you must be nervous after all"

his mother, lady Evelyn, she had white hair and white eyes porcelain pale skin. Everything about her screamed elegance.

"don't worry about anything lucius, just do your best"

Isaac, Lucius's older brother said sipping his tea.

"yeah just stay close to your sister and you'll be fine"

my father chimed in

"...right"

"why don't you hurry up and eat you'll be leaving for the academy soon"

i looked at my mother as she flashed a genuine smile my way

she must have seen my hesitation she was always good at reading people, more than my dad and siblings atleast.

soon after the maid brought in multiple trays of food that were prepared by the chefs of the estate

'its delicious as always'

i thought drowning my mind in the food trying to forget my unease

'i should pay the old man a visit before i leave...'

clearly the food wasn't helping, if anything it was inciting more thought.

thoughts about what?

thoughts about non other than my twin sister, the genius, lily D. hevenhat.

thoughts about how she naturally awakened at 3, which was far from being normal, to how her many manipulation and capacity were said to potentially reach sss rank.

of course, she wasn't the only one, my senior brother is said to also have sss rank potential as well but he uses a sword. their magic however was the same as every other person in our family , ice magic or specifically ice element.

continuing my thoughts i quietly finished my meal and excused my self from the table.

unbeknownst to me who was heading to my room, a conversation had started in the dining room.
