kael and Lyra fought for a long time, while the rest fought the shadows from disturbing Lyra, .Zha'thik knew he had to end this fight,he glanced at kael who was indeed busy fighting with Lyra, and then he shaped shifted in to kael shadow soldiers, making himself to look exactly like them, and with a jump he launched straight at kael with an ultimate speed brought out a very poisonous knife which had been giving to him by his master, and then stabbed kael at the middle of his back, and then pushed the knife inward to reach out for his heart.
A stealthy maneuver, Zha'thik strikes from the shadows.
Kael, focused on his battle with Lyra, didn't notice the shadowy figure approaching him. Zha'thik's shape-shifting abilities allowed him to blend seamlessly into the darkness, making him all but invisible.
The poisonous knife, a gift from Zha'thik's master, gleamed with a deadly light as he struck. Kael's eyes widened in shock as the blade pierced his back, the pain and poison spreading rapidly through his body.
Lyra, sensing Kael's sudden weakness, took advantage of the opening. With a swift and deadly motion, she struck Kael with a blast of magic, sending him crashing to the ground.
Zha'thik withdrew the knife, his eyes gleaming with a fierce light. "It's done," he said, his voice low and deadly.
Malakai and Arachne turned to face them, their eyes widening in surprise. "Zha'thik, you...," Malakai began.
Zha'thik's expression remained grim. "I did what needed to be done. Kael was too powerful to defeat in a straight fight."
Lyra's eyes narrowed, her gaze fixed on Kael's prone form. "Is he...dead?" she asked.
Zha'thik nodded. "The poison will ensure he doesn't survive."
The battle was over, but the consequences of their actions were only just beginning.
