As the battle continued in the kingdom of Shugia, another fight had already begun.
It was Laura going up against Reika and Meji.

Meji (smiling as he placed his hand on Reika's shoulder): Hey, don't forget about your captain. You're not alone in this one, okay?
Laura (grinning): Oh? So you're telling me you two are serious enough to back up those words of yours?
Meji (smirking): Well standing here talking won't prove anything now will it?
Laura's grin widened even further as a monstrous aura erupted from her body, shaking the entire battlefield beneath them.
Laura: Good… GOOD! That's exactly what I wanted to hear!

The ground exploded apart beneath Laura's feet as she instantly vanished from her position.
Reika's eyes widened slightly.
She's fast.
Laura suddenly appeared directly in front of Meji and swung her fist toward his face with monstrous force.
Meji (thinking): Damn!
BAAAAM!!!
Meji crossed both arms and blocked the attack, but the impact still sent him flying across the battlefield, crashing through multiple structures before finally stopping himself.
Laura (laughing wildly): Kuhahahahaha! What happened captain?! Don't tell me that was enough to send you flying already!
Meji slowly stood up while dust cleared around him.
Meji: Tch… that punch was ridiculous.
Meanwhile
Laura turned her attention toward Reika.
Laura: Now then… let's see whether your "Absolute Will" was just empty confidence or not.
Reika calmly raised her hand.

A massive wave of holy energy burst outward from his body.

Laura's smile faded slightly.
Laura (thinking): This energy…

In an instant, countless blades of holy light descended toward Laura from every direction.

The battlefield exploded repeatedly as Laura tanked the attacks head-on.
Smoke covered the entire area.

Laura slowly walked out completely unharmed.

Her eyes glowed dark red.
Laura: You two are still far too weak to kill me.
Suddenly
She disappeared again.
Reika sensed danger instantly.
Too late.
Laura appeared behind him and swung her arm downward.

Reika barely managed to block with his holy barrier but the impact still smashed him straight into the ground.
Meji: REIKA!
Laura laughed loudly again
Laura: Come on! Is this really all humanity has to offer?!
Reika stood there silently watching her.
Laura: Tch… you know what? Let me just toy with you guys a little bit. Come forth, my children dinner is ready.
Suddenly, Laura summoned a massive wave of giant scorpions. Every single one of them carried deadly venom. If even one managed to sting you, your entire body would become paralyzed, and within four hours your body would rapidly decay completely.
Unfortunately for Laura
Reika's ability was the perfect counter to this.
Reika (eyes widening): Wait… scorpions?!
Meji: Yeah… and there's a lot of them.
Laura (laughing wildly): Kuhahahahahahahahahahaha! Oh come on boys, my babies just wanna play a little. So entertain them for me, okay? And remember… if even one of them stings you, your body will be paralyzed, and four hours later you'll decay completely. So do your best not to get stung
The battlefield instantly turned chaotic.
Reika and Meji slashed through as many scorpions as they could, crushing and killing them nonstop. But there were simply too many.
