Chapter 36 - New Girl

Chapter 31

Jayjay's point of view

Someone planted a quick kiss on my head.

A small smile spread across my lips.

My eyes slowly opened.

My gaze fell upon the woman who was smiling gently at me.

The smile on my lips slowly faded.

I sat up in bed and stared intently at the woman opposite me.

"When did you arrive?"

"I arrived this morning, my dear. Aren't you happy to see me?"

"W-Why didn't I know you were here... Mom?"

"Oh, didn't Angelo tell you?"

"No?"

"So he wanted to surprise you."

I quickly got out of bed.

"Get ready and come to breakfast," I heard my mother say as she left the room.

What is she doing here, really?!

Damn it!

I went into the bathroom and threw myself into the cold water.

When I closed my eyes, the events of yesterday came to mind...

No matter how much I didn't want to think about it, they kept coming.

Even though Keifer was the only man I loved, I had loved him for a while too.

Besides, no one wants the person they love to leave them and go far away.

Anyway, Jayjay...

Get a grip...

Be ready for a life without him!

I smiled slowly...

------------------------------------

Aries's point of view

I grabbed my bag and left the room.

I went down the stairs to the dining room.

I saw the woman with her back turned.

She looked like my mother.

I smiled and went and kissed her on the cheek.

"Good mornin-"

My words were cut short because I realized the person I had just kissed wasn't my mother.

This was Jayjay's mother...

Actually, she was my mother too...

But I had disowned her years ago...

Why was she coming here now, after all these years?

"W-What are you doing here?"

"I came for Jayjay and you," she said with a huge smile.

You shouldn't have come, you crazy woman...

I didn't say anything and sat down in the empty chair next to Angelo, who was staring blankly at the newspaper in his hand.

He must have heard our conversation earlier, but he didn't seem to care much. Because I'm sure he knew I would react like this.

Had Jayjay seen it?

At that moment, I saw Jayjay and my mother entering through the door.

Jayjay looked quite happy, but his happiness didn't last long when she saw his mother at the table.

My mother sat down next to the woman.

Jayjay came and sat next to me.

I leaned over and whispered in his ear.

"Did you know she was coming here?"

"No. What business does she hav—"

"We don't whisper at the table," Angelo said, taking a sip of his coffee.

"Why didn't you tell us she was coming?" Jayjay asked.

"Did I have to?" Angelo replied without looking at him.

"No, but at least we would have had time to leave the house."

I saw his mother's gentle gaze.

She didn't seem pleased with what Jayjay had said.

"I-I... I didn't know you didn't want me here. I'm sorr—"

"Why now?" Jayjay asked, interrupting him.

"What?"

"Why are you coming now? Why are you apologizing now? Where were you on my birthdays? On New Year's Eve? When I was hospitalized? When I was breathless from crying? When I felt alone? Where were you during all that?! Were you with your new famil—"

Angelo slammed his hand on the table, and a deep silence fell.

"Shut up, Jay!" he yelled at him.

"I hate you, Angelo... But... But... I hate you the most! Mom..." Jayjay said, crying.

Without saying anything else, she got up from the table.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of him," I said, getting up from the table after him.

I followed Jayjay quickly.

I saw him go out the door.

I caught up with him and grabbed his arm.

She immediately pulled his arm away.

"Aries..."

I wrapped my arms around him.

"Stop crying. You look like a baby."

"Speak properly."

We separated shortly after.

She wiped away her tears.

"I don't like that woman being here either, but raising my voice won't change anything. I'm not protecting her, but I'm sure there was a reason she'd been gone all these years," I said.

"I don't think there's a reason. She left because she didn't want us. But I don't know why she's coming back after all these years."

I glanced at my watch.

"Damn! We're late! Let's go!"

We got in the car and I drove towards the school.

------------------------------------

Keifer's Perspective

Jayjay was gone again...

"Do you know where Jayjay is?" I asked Yuri.

"He's probably late, or he's not coming to school because of yesterday's incident," she replied.

Shortly after, Sir Alvin entered the classroom, followed by a girl...

Why does she look so familiar?

Her bright blue eyes scanned the classroom.

Then her gaze settled on me.

She didn't look away for a while.

Then, with a small smile, her eyes returned to the class.

Why did she have to come to our class now?

I glanced at section E.

Most looked surprised, some happy.

I'm sure they're going to flirt with her 😓

Ah, those flirtatious boys...

My eyes drifted to Jayjay's empty seat.

Where is he???

"Yes, you can introduce yourself," said Sir Alvin.

"Hello, I'm Dahlia. I hope we get along well." She said in a sweet and charming voice.

"Where did this girl come from now?" I heard Yuri murmur while doodling something.

"Okay Dahlia, you can sit over there—"

"I'll sit over there!"

She slowly walked towards a row...

Jayjay's row...

"But that's taken," said Ci-n.

"I don't see anyone here, little boy."

Ci-n was about to open her mouth but remained silent and turned back to her seat.

Something very bad will happen when Jayjay arrives.

Even Sir Alvin was aware of the impending danger...

------------------------------------

Jayjay's point of view

Soon we had entered the school.

"Don't wait for me, go," Aries said when he stopped the car.

I quickly got out of the car and started running towards the classroom.

I noticed something shining on the ground.

When I bent down to look, I saw it was an ID.

It was a girl's ID.

With her black hair and bright blue eyes, she looked at the camera with a cold yet sweet smile.

Her name read 'Blair'.

I slipped the ID into my pocket and went to class.

As I entered, all eyes were on me.

"You're late, Miss Mariano."

"I apologize, sir."

He gestured for me to come in.

Smiling, I headed to my seat.

I saw her long black hair buried in the desk.

My eyebrows furrowed slightly.

Even Sir Alvin had stopped teaching to watch us.

Who... who is this?

"Hey!"

She slightly raised her head, and our blue eyes met.

Damn!

Why is this girl so incredibly beautiful???

"Hello?"

"You're sitting in my seat?"

"Ah, so you're the owner of this seat." She turned to Ci-n. "There was no need to exaggerate so much, was there, little kid?"

Cin was silently watching what was happening, just like the others.

"Anyway, don't drag it out and get up," I said.

"No," she said casually.

"You don't seem to understand. I'm saying k-"

"I understand, but I don't want to do what you're saying... What are we going to do?" She said with a disgusting grin on his face.

"You're going to get up. You don't have the right to come and cut in line like that."

She suddenly stood up.

"Ugh! You're exaggerating so much!"

"O-Okay Dahlia, you go to the line by the door and let's end this," Sir Alvin said.

"I can't deal with you, get lost," she said, sitting back down and continuing to doze off.

Damn...

After a deep sigh, I went and sat in an empty seat.

Everyone was surprised.

"Yes! Let's continue with the lesson!"

My gaze shifted back to him.

It's like I've seen her before...

Suddenly, my phone vibrated.

Then a loud ringing sound.

And again, all eyes were on me...😓

Sir Alvin, without worrying, reached into my pocket.

I felt another object next to my phone.

I-Identity...

Wait a minute?!

Are these two girls the same?

I quickly stood up.

There was a loud noise.

"What's happening?!" she woke up and looked at me.

Who are you, Dahlia... Or...

Blair.
