Chapter 127 - forever its u jay

Chapter: Forever Is You – Jay's POV

The night air was heavy with tension as Keifer grabbed my hand and pulled me away from the quiet street behind the New Year's Eve venue.

I didn't resist.

Not because I wanted to follow.

Not because I trusted easily.

But because… deep down, I needed him.

We ducked behind the trees that lined the parking lot, the city lights flickering through the branches. The distant sound of fireworks and laughter from the celebration was muffled, leaving just us and the cool night air.

Keifer stopped and turned to me, his hand still gripping mine firmly. His eyes… oh, his eyes—they burned into me with a mixture of frustration, fear, and longing.

"Jay," he said quietly, but the intensity in his voice made my heart beat so fast I thought it would explode.

"I… I can't lose you," he whispered, taking a step closer. "I can't imagine a world where you… where you're with him… or anyone else. I love you. So damn much."

The words hit me like a tidal wave, and suddenly everything I had been holding in—the anger, the fear, the grief, the guilt—collapsed inside me.

I opened my mouth to speak… but no sound came.

I couldn't say anything.

I couldn't explain how much I was shaking inside, how much I wanted to run into his arms, how much I needed him.

Keifer didn't wait for my words. He leaned in and kissed me.

Not just a soft peck.

But a kiss that held everything—pain, longing, relief, frustration, and love all tangled together.

I froze at first, letting him take the lead, letting the warmth of his lips and the steady rhythm of his heartbeat ground me.

And then I melted into him, wrapping my arms around his neck and pressing my face against his chest.

"I… I don't want him, Keif," I whispered, my voice breaking. "I don't want Yuri. I don't want anyone else. I want… I want you… forever. Please, save me… please don't let this happen. Please."

Keifer's hands moved to my waist, holding me so tightly I could feel the steady pulse of his heart against my own.

"I won't," he said fiercely, his lips brushing against my forehead. "I swear, Jay. I will never let anyone take you from me. I love you, and I'm not letting go. Ever."

I clung to him, burying my face in his chest, tears streaming freely now.

It was like every fear, every frustration, every heartbreak I had endured in the past few days—the engagement announcement, the shock, the pressure, the betrayal—was pouring out of me in sobs.

Keifer's hands never left me. His voice never wavered. He simply held me, letting me cry until my entire body shook.

And then… suddenly, we heard footsteps approaching.

"Jay…" Aries' voice broke through the quiet night, gentle but urgent.

I pulled back slightly, wiping my tears, and saw him standing there, his expression serious but calm.

"Don't worry," he said softly, stepping closer. "We'll stop the marriage at the right time. I promise. You don't have to go through this, not with him. Not now. Not ever."

I blinked at him, feeling a strange sense of relief, like a weight had been lifted off my chest.

"Me and Keif… we won't let you marry that redheaded roaster," he added, and a small, reassuring smile tugged at the corners of his mouth.

I couldn't hold it in anymore.

I sobbed again, pressing myself back into Keifer's chest. My arms wrapped around him like I would never let go, and he responded immediately, pressing his cheek against my head, whispering soft words that made me feel safe.

"I love you," he murmured. "I don't care what happens. You're mine, Jay. Forever."

"Forever…" I whispered back, the word trembling on my lips, feeling the weight of it settle inside me. "I want forever with you… only you."

Keifer's lips brushed mine again, soft this time, gentle, grounding me. His hands held me close, fingers threading into mine as if sealing some unspoken promise.

Aries crouched slightly, resting a hand on my shoulder. "It's okay, Jay. Cry if you need to. Let it out. You're safe."

I let my tears fall freely, my chest heaving as I sobbed into Keifer's arms. The city, the fireworks, the celebration—it all faded away. There was only him, only us, only this moment.

"I thought I lost you," I whispered between sobs, clutching him tighter. "I thought… I thought you'd never be mine again. I can't lose you, Keif. I can't."

"You won't," he said firmly. "I swear it. I'm not letting go. I don't care what happens with the engagement. I don't care what anyone says. You're mine, Jay. Only mine."

I looked up at him, my vision blurred from tears, and saw the fire in his eyes. The determination. The unshakable love.

And I knew, deep in my soul, that he meant every word.

"I love you," I whispered, finally, letting the words flow freely. "I love you so much… more than anything."

Keifer smiled softly, brushing a strand of hair from my face. "I love you too. So much. More than you'll ever know."

And then he kissed me again, tender and slow, letting me feel every ounce of emotion behind his words.

I wrapped my arms around him tighter, pressing my body against his, letting every tear, every fear, every insecurity flow into him.

"I want you… in my life forever," I whispered, my forehead resting against his chest. "Please, Keif… don't let anyone take you away. Don't let anyone make me do something I don't want."

He cupped my face in his hands, looking at me like I was the most precious thing in the world.

"I promise," he said, voice low and full of conviction. "I won't let anyone touch you. I won't let anyone force you. You're mine, Jay. Forever. And I'm staying. Always."

I shivered at his words, tears still flowing, but a warmth spread through me that I hadn't felt in days. Relief, love, safety… all wrapped into one.

"You… you really mean it?" I whispered, trembling.

"I mean it," he said, pressing his lips gently to mine again. "No lies. No games. Just us. Forever."

I hugged him again, clutching him like my entire world depended on it—which, in that moment, it did.

And then, almost silently, he kissed the top of my head, wrapping his arms around me fully, holding me like he would never let me go.

Aries watched quietly from a few steps away, giving me space but staying close enough to make sure I was safe.

"It's okay, Jay," he said softly. "Let him hold you. Let him protect you. You're safe now."

I nodded, tears falling freely, my entire body shaking from the mix of fear, relief, and overwhelming emotion.

Keifer whispered again, "You're not alone. Not ever. You have me. Always."

I pressed my face against his chest, letting his steady heartbeat ground me.

"I love you," I murmured again, this time calmer, more certain.

"I love you too," he replied, brushing my hair back and holding me close. "And I'm never letting go."

The city lights flickered around us. The distant sounds of fireworks seemed far away now.

There was only us.

There was only our promise.

And in that quiet, emotional night, with my arms wrapped around the only person I wanted in the world, I finally felt safe.

I finally felt loved.

And I finally knew that no matter what came next—the engagement, the chaos, the world—we had each other.

Forever.

And that… that was enough.
