Preparations for the festival were in full swing, but Aryan felt a sense of unease. Vikram's confidence was bothering him.
That evening, as Sameeksha was leaving after finishing her class, Vikram stopped her in the corridor. He held an old envelope.
"Sameeksha, you think you know Aryan?" Vikram asked in a calm voice. "But did he ever tell you why he suddenly disappeared when he was a child?"
Sameeksha paused. "He told you that his father had been transferred."
Vikram laughed—a bitter laugh. He pulled a photograph from the envelope. The photo was blurry, but in it, little Aryan (Golu) was leaving a crying little Sameeksha alone, with a police van behind him.
"There wasn't a transfer, Sameeksha. Aryan's father was accused of something serious, and that night they all fled so no one could catch them. Aryan lied to you because he knew that if the truth came out, you would hate him."
Sameeksha's head started spinning. Was Aryan's innocent face hiding a big secret?
Just then Aryan arrived. He saw the photo in Sameeksha's hand, and his face turned pale. "Sameeksha... I... I was just about to tell you."
"When, Aryan? When the fest was over?" Sameeksha's voice trembled. "You said you were coming back for me, but you started with a lie."
Sameeksha ran away without another word. Vikram had a triumphant smile on his face, while Aryan stood alone in the darkness of the corridor. His black diary slipped from his hand and fell to the floor.
There were only two days left before the fest began. Will Aryan be able to prove his truth, or will their story end before it can be revealed? SUBSCRIBE https://youtube.com/shorts/_JRNIfnMPqE?feature=share
