Chapter 66 - Chapter 66 Ideally they would cover the Five Elements so they could guide Disciples of differing Spiritual Roots.

She needed steady, patient Outer Sect Elders who could teach according to each Disciple's aptitude.

Ideally they would cover the Five Elements so they could guide Disciples of differing Spiritual Roots.

As her thoughts moved, the five glowing summon cards in her warehouse shattered in unison.

Within the Main Hall, space rippled like a lake into which five stones had been thrown.

Unlike the vast, unfathomable ripples that had summoned Li Hanyi and Yun Yun, this wave felt gentler, more restrained, carrying a calm, solid flavor.

Five figures stepped almost in unison from separate spatial ripples, halting at the center of the Main Hall.

The first, on the far left, stood tall and straight, handsome of face with sword-like brows and star-bright eyes, clad in a golden combat robe beneath a dark cloak embroidered with subtle gold cloud patterns.

At his waist hung a longsword in a plain scabbard, faint dragon motifs etched upon it.

The second was a woman in a pale-green dress, her beauty gentle and refined, brows and eyes like a painting, soft as a spring breeze.

She held a vine staff topped with a gem brimming with life, its rich vitality scenting the air.

The third, a man in blue, carried himself with scholarly grace, his face jade-smooth.

In his hand a white-jade folding fan painted with misty rivers.

The fourth, a woman in red, tall and striking, her looks vivid and bold, her bearing sharp and valiant.

Across her back rested a longbow of molten red, as though forged from cooled lava, radiating heat.

The fifth was a girl in apricot-yellow skirts, her face sweet, still carrying a trace of youthful innocence.

She cradled a small earthen Seal carved with mountains and rivers.

All five were at the Peak of Fusion, their bearing extraordinary, their looks outstanding.

Just awakened, their eyes held brief confusion, but awe quickly followed as they sensed the unfathomable Gu Han and the world around them.

A subtle force of fate bound them to her; in an instant they understood their place and purpose.

As one they bowed, voices clear, gentle, refined, valiant, or calm:

'Golden Peak, Green Vine, Boundless Sea, Red Cherry, Profound Elegance, greets the Palace Master!'

Gu Han's gaze swept over them, feeling the pure, distinct Five-Element Spiritual Qi within each, and she was pleased.

Produced by the System—truly top grade.

Each carried an Earth Rank Peak Magic Treasure, perfectly matched to their element, uniquely styled and personal.

Such a set-up would make many a first-rate Sect green with envy.

Yet in Yaochi Immortal Palace it was merely standard for Outer Sect Elders.

'Very good.'

Gu Han inclined her head, a faint smile curving her lips.

'Golden Peak, Green Vine, Boundless Sea, Red Cherry, Profound Elegance—from this day you five are Outer Sect Elders of Yaochi Immortal Palace.'

'The Palace has admitted a new cohort of Disciples; assignments begin in three days.'

'Here is the Palace's current basic information.'

As she spoke, her fingertip flicked spiritual light.

Five streams of knowledge—rules, structure, personnel, Disciple rolls—flowed into their foreheads.

They absorbed it instantly, surprise deepening.

Yaochi Immortal Palace… Palace Master at late Immortal Ascension, Grand Elder at ninth level of undergoing tribulation, Vice Palace Master at ninth level of undergoing tribulation, four Mahayana Elders, an immortal grade spirit vein, and the legendary Innate Spiritual Root enlightenment tea tree.

This did not look like a newly founded Sect.

Its depth surpassed many heritages ten-thousand years old.

To serve here as an Outer Sect Elder was no slight; it was a heaven-sent Opportunity.

Uncertainty fled their eyes, replaced by clear awe and eager excitement.

'We obey the Palace Master's command! We will devote ourselves utterly to teaching the Disciples and fulfilling our duties!'

They answered in unison, voices firm.

'Good.'

Gu Han saw their resolve and was satisfied.

'To the north lie five Peaks of differing Spiritual Qi attributes, suited to your cultivation and teaching.'

'Once settled, report to Vice Palace Master Yun Yun on Cloud-Color Peak to the east; she will assign your tasks.'

'Yes! Your subordinates take their leave!'

They bowed again, turned, and strode calmly from the Main Hall.

Outside, sunlight spilled over them, cloaked in spiritual mist and rosy light.

The stern air of the hall eased; they glanced at one another, eyes bright with wonder and excitement.

'A true Immortal sanctuary,'

Green Vine murmured, feeling the rich life in the air, her smile gentle.

Red Cherry adjusted the Fiery Sun bow on her back, her vivid face eager:

'Those Disciples have real potential; I can't wait to see if any have a fire-attribute Spiritual Root.'

Golden Peak folded his arms, keen eyes sweeping the distant orderly palaces:

'Teaching the Disciples and securing the Outer Sect come first. The Spiritual Qi and dao rhyme here will aid our Cultivation immensely.'

Boundless Sea snapped open his Heaven-Sea fan and smiled faintly:

'The Palace's depth exceeds imagination.'

'To teach here is our own Opportunity; we must devote ourselves fully and not fail the Palace Master.'

Profound Elegance cradled her Five-Mountain Seal, her sweet face serious:

'Let's settle in first, then find the Vice Palace Master together.'

They nodded, spoke no more, and became five beams of differently colored light.

They shot toward the five Peaks in the north, each of distinct Spiritual Qi yet equally blessed by nature.

From this moment, the five Outer Sect Elders of Yaochi Immortal Palace had taken their posts.
