Law of Right and Good has finally ended. Thank you for your support!
A/N :
Well, well, well… What do we have here… Holy shit… A short 48 chapters with tragic and rushed endings?! What kind of abomination is this?!
If that's what you guys are thinking, you're definitely right.
Let me explain.
For the tragic part, this series was planned from the start to be a tragic love story instead of romance, hence the dark and tragedy tag on the series.
This series is my first step back out of readers' usual comfort zone and is also part of my experimentation with writing 'tragedy'.
You guys might hate me for this decision, but I have been planting obvious flags here and there to foreshadow this outcome. I know the execution is a bit rushed in the end, so let me explain my next point, rushed ending.
Honestly, I knew the idea wasn't as perfect as I thought it would be when I first started writing this book. I know the concept in my head, but once I tried to convey it through storytelling, it all blurred to me.
That made me realize that my worldbuilding skills still need to be improved so I can make an exciting plot combined with an interesting world.
It's an urban setting so I thought I could easily build up some lore while using real life experiences as reference. But I'm still learning, so the quality doesn't catch up.
As I'm a firm believer of quality over quantity, I know if I continue this series further, I would just burn myself out faster than I should. So rather than publishing a story with a slow pacing issue, I would rather wrap this up and end the series right here.
The story might have a lot of issues, but I tried my best to convey a world from the perspective of morally grey characters. I still think it's better to reach a conclusive ending rather than hanging my readers with an unfinished book.
On that topic, I would love to know what your thoughts are on the series. Which characters do you like the most? Which aspect do you like or dislike from the story? I want to hear your honest opinion, so don't hesitate to comment below.
Enough of me pouring my thoughts out, I want to thank my readers who have been with me through this series. Your reaction and comments are always and will always be the boost of dopamine I need to complete my series.
Thank you for your support all this time. See you in my other series!
[P.S. all my BL novels are free in Scribblehub and Webnovel and will be like that even in the future. If you spot anyone posting my series outside these websites, that's not me. Anyway, you can check out my other series in my profile if you're interested and if you're feeling generous enough, a tip or two in my ko-fi would help (my beggar instinct is acting up lol).
All in all, thank you for your care for this series so far, hope you have a great day.]
