Cursed tools are weapons infused with Cursed energy. Due to this, even non-sorcerers can use them to combat cursed spirits. Conventional weapons such as katanas can become semi-cursed tools over time if the user constantly imbues it with their cursed energy. However, weapons new to the user that are reinforced with cursed energy are not considered cursed tools.

I was in front of Naobita. Normally, I wouldn't have come to meet him in his office. His office was just like all other rooms in Zenin Mansion, made of wood with shelves having books on them.
Naobita himself was lazy, lying with one hand supporting his head.
Wasn't he the head of the mansion? What with this attitude?
"Why do you need to open the treasury?" Naobita asked me.
The reason why I came to visit him is because since Maki and Mai have made considerable progress during the past month, what they now need is real-life experience, and I also need real-life fighting experience.

"I need some artifacts to further increase my power." I said to Naobita.
"Not to give to those twins, right?"
Since I am most of the time in the woods, I already knew that he figured it out. I now need good lies to navigate this conversation to a desirable outcome.

Naobita was silent for some time.
"I don't understand your line of thoughts, Naoya. What is the reason why you are close to those useless twins? They don't bring any merits to you or this class. The only use they provide is we can marry them off." Then Naobita pauses. "Is it because they are your type, Naoya? If that's the case, you just need to drag them to your room and make them yours. There is no need for such childish play to get their affections."
My view of Naobita just hit a new low. What the fuck is the motherfucker talking about? No wonder, the original timeline Naoya was a sexist and misogynist.
"They are not my type," I flatly said. I am pretty sure they now consider me a big brother figure because of the time we spent together. "So do you approve of me using the treasury?"
"I can't stop you, can I? You are first in line of succession since there is nobody who is close to your talent; even if I wanted to, I couldn't study your growth or intention, but as a current leader, I have to say the twins are a waste of investment; they will never give you the return you are expecting. And investing in loss is the mark of an incompetent leader."
"Some loss builds the foundation of victory. Anyway, I will be going; I need some time to take a good artifact from the storage."
While I made my way to the treasury, I thought back to what Naobita said.
Waste of investment, huh? If they managed to just stand on their feet and follow their heart, then my investment already paid off. And in the future, they will meet people that care about and stand with them.
If they are weak, then I can't hand over my title of Heir to Zenin to them, which is regrettable. If not for the fact that there is a chance for Megumi to join the enemy side, then I would have considered him. If only I had a vague guess about why he joined the enemy side, then I could prevent it.
Shortly, I arrived at the treasury. I already have an idea about what to take. An artifact that can be used to see curses for Maki, a cursed gun for Mai and a sword for me.
