Poisudonom started to roll towards the crowd; he was going extremely fast. The people could only scream before getting brutally killed by Poisudonom's spikes.
"Radial freeze!" Darian created a wall between some people and Poisudonom, who wasn't able to destroy it and returned to his feet.
"Mhm? This is resistant," whispered Poisudonom to himself the moment he bumped against the wall.
"RUN AWAY FAST!" shouted Darian to the few people on the other side of the wall. They could barely move and didn't know what to do.
"Is he helping us…?" murmured a woman, but the moment she wondered whether she had to trust Darian or not, Poisudonom's punch destroyed the wall, and as the punch pierced through it, it exploded the woman's head too.
A child was next to her; the moment the woman's head was destroyed, some ice fell over his head, creating a hole and making him fall to the ground.
The moment Poisudonom came out of the wall, he saw another person there, extremely scared. Poisudonom, before looking at Darian, walked next to this person. There were multiple ice shards near him; he was lucky enough not to get hit by the spikes, but he could not move anymore.
Poisudonom jumped as hard as he could and smashed his fist directly towards the person, but his fist completely passed through him and created a small crater on the ground.
"Thanks, Liro!" shouted Darian. A big ice shard was created and went directly toward Poisudonom.
'Let's see if this is enough…' Darian hoped that a single big shard would be enough, but nothing changed. Poisudonom was unharmed; the shard came into contact with the spikes on his back, which still had multiple body parts on them, and immediately shattered.
"They warned me about you, the one who can create illusions. I must say that it's impossible to tell the difference," said Poisudonom as he turned around, removing parts of people from behind his spikes.
The moment a small arm came off, he took aim and tried to hit another scared person in the crowd. Darian shot an ice shard and destroyed the small arm midair.
"Are you one of the nine Black Defenders too?" asked Liro as he took a small step back, scared.
"Exactly. I'm Poisudonom, everyone," said the krukin as he presented himself.
"How were you able to reach this city? Was a portal opened?" asked Darian.
Poisudonom shook his head. "We're coming from the sea, the best place in the whole world!!!" shouted the krukin.
"The sea?" murmured Liro, confused. "I guess the kruktopus aren't the only krukins who can swim in the ocean," said Liro next to Darian.
"I must congratulate you, humans," said Poisudonom. Darian and Liro remained confused by that.
"Your sea is extremely beautiful; it's probably the best one I have ever visited. But tell me this: why did you build under the ocean? Is there someone who can live under it?" asked Poisudonom.
"We never built under the ocean… let's just say that we had a problem and everything got swallowed by the ocean," answered Darian.
"Oh, thank you so much! I never had the chance to ask Phocylides about this, then I guess I don't need you anymore." Suddenly, Poisudonom jumped, and midair his body became circular; his tail covered his chest, and his body became full of spikes.
"Attention!!" shouted Darian as he pushed Liro away. "Ice armor!!" He barely had time to finish the spell before Poisudonom was already piercing into his skin.
"PUFFFF!" Darian coughed up some blood before the armor completely exploded. Thanks to the shards, it was able to damage Poisudonom's skin, creating small scratches.
'Blood?' thought Poisudonom, confused. The scratches kept appearing on his body, so he decided to jump back, leaving Darian with multiple injuries all over his body.
"They told me about you too… they just said how annoying you were with your shards." Suddenly, Poisudonom rushed toward Darian. "Let me see what else you can do!!" shouted him. Darian and Liro got ready to fight against him.
"Vane, why are you going this fast??" shouted Lily as she held tightly onto Vane.
"I have to kill him… that bastard!!!" shouted Vane. In front of him there was Banaikuj.
"ARGHHH!!" shouted Vane. With his powerful horns, he was able to hit the krukin and push him away, making his body destroy multiple buildings.
Vane remained still, breathing heavily. Lily slowly went down from his body. She glanced around: multiple buildings were slowly getting destroyed because of the powerful rain, the wind was extremely strong, old tree branches were falling down, and around the square, blood and people's corpses were scattered all over.
"It seems like Naluri is helping the people get away. We need to take care of the krukins. Are you ready?"
Vane turned into a polar bear, and with his claws, he immediately killed multiple kruktopus. Suddenly, he got blocked by two bladekruk.
"Tch, the other krukins have arrived too." Vane annoyedly looked at the portal; other krukins were coming out. Right now the krukins were mostly level 1, but soon enough, multiple powerful krukins would arrive too.
'Are we really enough to destroy all of them?' thought Vane as he started to fight against the bladekruk in front of him. He used one claw to hit the one on his left, who jumped back dodging the hit. From behind, the other one swung his blade to hit the polar bear.
Vane hardened his back. The moment the bladekruk swung his blade against his body, it bounced away, and the enemy flinched. Vane immediately cut off his enemy's right arm; the krukin fell to his knees in pain.
Vane swung his claws again, creating a cut all over the enemy's head, who fell lifeless to the ground.
"Attention!" shouted Lily. Multiple roots emerged from the ground and blocked the movement of the bladekruk. Vane immediately bit off his head, destroying it too.
A krukdill appeared right next to Lily, who didn't notice it. As the enemy rushed toward her, he suddenly lost balance and fell. Lily turned around just in time to see Naluri walking toward them.
"Thank you!" said Lily. Roots emerged from the ground and grabbed the krukdill's body; the poison in the roots completely drained the enemy's energy, killing him.
"I'll help you with my power," said Naluri. Vane walked behind the two women.
"Wait, how was that possible? Is that your power?" asked Vane, confused.
"Yes, it is my power… let's say that it helps me 'soften' the world around an ally, making even the slightest possibilities happen. That is why this enemy lost balance because of a small hole."
Naluri's power lets her modify reality, making things that seem almost impossible actually possible. The more she concentrates on an ally, the more probability shifts in their favor. For example, if someone were standing on a branch about to fall, the branch would remain intact for as long as Naluri's ally needed. It makes the ally feel like everything is going extremely well and according to their will.
Naluri's power doesn't predict events; she just creates the conditions for what the ally believes to happen.
"Woah… it feels so cool," said Vane, surprised. A krukspy rushed toward them but lost balance because of too much water on the ground.
"We just need to stay extremely focused on the battle. The moment one of us loses focus, it's over."
"Let's go!!" shouted Vane. He jumped on the krukspy and killed it with his powerful claws.
"These foolish humans… I'LL KILL YOU ALLLL!" shouted Banaikuj as he rushed toward the humans. Vane and Lily exchanged a look before charging at him.
"RHYTHMIC RESONANCE!" shouted Naluri right before they acted.
"VINE WALK!!" shouted Lily. Multiple roots appeared under Vane, making him move extremely fast. With his claws, he was able to hit Banaikuj.
"ARGH!!" shouted the krukin as he scratched Vane's body with his long nails.
Multiple roots emerged from the ground and tried to block Banaikuj. When he tried to cut them with his nails, the roots slowly moved away.
Banaikuj screamed something in the krukin language. Many krukins nearby rushed toward him, ignoring Vane and cutting down the roots.
'I need to pay more attention… these roots were slowly draining my strength,' thought Banaikuj as smaller krukins positioned themselves around him.
A bladekruk rushed from behind. As he was about to swing his blade at Naluri, Vane rushed in and pierced the enemy with his claws.
"Woah, I didn't think I'd ever be able to do this type of jump," whispered Vane.
"It's thanks to my power. You imagined making a high jump and saving me, right? Your dream became reality!" answered Naluri.
Vane destroyed the enemy's body, killing it.
"Take the foolish humans!!" shouted Banaikuj. All the krukins near him rushed toward the humans.
Archilochus was on top of a building, purple rain falling all around him as he enjoyed the destruction of the town.
He looked at the alterids from Therya fighting the krukins. "I wanted to attack the city right after the alterids were killed… meh, it doesn't change much. They brought such a big army."
A purple bubble suddenly appeared in front of Archilochus. It was so fast that he didn't have time to react, and he was hypnotized by it.
Garoo was hidden. He first created the bubble with the note SOL, then with the note TI pushed it in front of Archie. The moment Archilochus got hypnotized, the rain weakened, though the cold still covered the city.
"Now I'll kill you, you damn traitor!!" shouted Garoo, anger burning in his eyes.
